✿ Summer 1890s ✿ Tea Party

As it was arranged, The Pruitts went to tea with the Brindletons early in the week. Almost the entire family came, except Ophelia who offered to stay home and see to the farm while they were away. Vera Brindleton welcomed the ladies and they made some small talk in the gardens while Cornelius and Lawrence met inside.

Orange Blossom tea and apple pie was served by the head maid, Mrs.Amy, and they began to discuss throwing a ball for Charity and Anabelle’s birthday, to celebrate and properly introduce them to polite society, closer to the end of the season.

While the adults chatted in the tea room, Leslie, Elizabeth and Stuart stayed in the twin’s room with their governess, Ms. Stella, playing amongst them.

Later in the evening, while Vera and Adelia discussed the ball’s details in the tea room, Charity and Anabelles went outside to talk about their expectations for the party, and the gentlemen went to have some drinks at the library.

✿ Old Windenburg townhouses ✿ cc free

i'm arranging an early 1900s version of Windenburg for my save, and I thought I would start with this townhouse lot inspired by this miniature i found on pinterest.

lot type: residential rental (3 rentals)

size: 30×20

lot traits: convival, great soil, homey and mold (same for all rentals)

CC free, but i do own all the packs.

There's a total of 3 fully furnished rentals on the lot: one for 1 or 2 sims, one for 3 sims, and one for up to 3 sims and an infant.

There's also a gardening spot, bonsai tree and woodworking table included for shared use. For (my) convenience's sake, i've included indoor plumbing and (minimal) electrical lighting, but feel free to change that according to your play style/rules!

Remember to place with the bb.moveobjects cheat on! I originally built it on the lot where The Narwhal arm bar is.

If you use it on your game and share it please tag me so i can see! Any changes to the structure and decor of the lot for your gameplay is totally fine, as long as you don't claim it as your own build.

Summer 1890 ✿ Gentlemen’s club

For Cornelius, a good sunday is only the ones with meetings from the Brindleton gentlemens club over at the Gilded Hotel.

Where the honorable men of the town get together to gamble, try the best of drinks and food, talk about business and the latest news (or gossip, although they don't admit to it being called that) and the occasional tenis game.

at this week's meeting, Lawrence Bridleton pushed Cornelius aside to invite him and his family to tea in order to discuss the upcoming birthdays of their young daughters.

Summer 1890 ✿ Pond afternoons

Ophelia, Diane and Clyde have been spending sun soaked afternoons at the pond since their teenage years, and today was as perfect as every other time they've been here together

After much playing and relaxing Diane had to go and left Ophelia and Clyde on their own, they chatted away on their favourite spot - a lonely bench perched on a cliff looking over the sea - and Ophelia tried to pretend she didn't sense something else other then friendship going around...

People always told her that Clyde had interest in her and how much of a beautiful couple they would make, but she never took it seriously... he was her best friend, they practically grew up together. Ophelia was always dreaming about love, but never even considered that it might have been right by her side this whole time.

Later in the week Ophelia invited Diane over to talk about her and Clyde. Diane told her she always thought he liked her, but she should be careful, especially with her mother -who could never know they were left alone on the pond.

✿ A typical day in the Pruitt household

Adelia and Ophelia complete their household chores and upkeep the farm while Leslie and Charity study and Cornelius works at the firm.

Today, they had mushroom soup with fresh ingredients for supper and classical music from charity while they relaxed before bed.

An ambitious man from a young age, Cornelius is a hardworking man who tries his hardest to provide his family the best possible. When Clarence died, he fought much to keep their boat afloat and help Adelia to cope, in spite of his own grief and the hit of losing what he for long thought would be his only heir. Now he's a respected man around Brindleton and one of the town's best lawyers, he enjoys filling his free time working the crops and hanging around the gentlemen’s club when he's not appreciating Charity's music or teaching Leslie the ways of life.

Born to a well-off family, Adelia defied her father with her marriage to Cornelius, who was an apprentice at his law firm, and he was still surprised at the couple's success at married life until the day he died. That's a common theme in Adelia's life: death; her mother died when she was a child, her father mere years after she was married off, and her firstborn didn't even saw his adult years. Despite having a young daughter at the time of Clarence’s death and giving birth to two more beautiful children, the weight of his loss still hovers over every aspect of her life, especially her parenting. To others she may seem a bit overbearing and strict, but in her mind and heart Adelia only wants her children to succeed and live a long bountiful life. Aside from her past, Adelia is an excellent cook, skilled farmer and supportive wife; she likes to collect and admire art pieces and sometimes even dabble at it herself, something she and Ophelia strongly bond over, and with time became a valued member of Brindleton's community.

The younger of the family, Leslie was an unexpected child, but welcomed with cheers and warmth nonetheless, especially by Cornelius who was more than happy with the birth of a new heir to his legacy. He dreams of following his father's steps and even at such a young age already feels the weight of the brother who he never got to meet bearing him. Leslie loves spending time with his older sister and is very close to her, almost like she's his second mum, and is learning to draw with her.

The younger of the Pruitt sisters, Charity's birth was a real gift to her mother, who's been ensuring that she gets the best of all opportunities all her life. Charity is a talented piano player and singer, and thinks that if she had not been raised to be a “proper lady of society” (and only marry upwards) she would become an entertainer and travel the world. Outside of singing and playing, she doesn't like to keep many other hobbies and doesn't really enjoy her house chores, especially cooking, and mainly prefers to keep herself entertained with her friends. She's about to debut into society and can't wait to accompany her mother and sister to the balls and ladies meetings.

Although she was born in the old country, Ophelia doesn't remember much about it due to her still being a young toddler when the Pruitts moved to Brindleton. She does remember her parent's striking grief and how much it affected her relationship with them, especially her father, and her early childhood,  but tries to not hold it too close to her heart.  But still, she's a spirited young woman who loves books and art, as instructed by her mother she always participated in the town's social life, despite her shyness, and ended up forging some beautiful bonds within her community. Some say she's a hopeless romantic, and maybe she does read too many novels, but all Ophelia dreams of is finding her true love match and building a bright future for herself.

The Pruitt family

Cornelius and Adelia Pruitt moved to Brindleton bay after the loss of their firstborn son, Clarence, with their young daughter Ophelia and the prospects of a new roaring town. There, Cornelius was able to establish himself at a reputable law firm and saw his family and land flourish at Birchfield farm with the help of his loving wife.

Nowadays Ophelia and her younger siblings Charity and Leslie help their mom upkeep the farm mostly for their own living, and a bit of extra money, and Adelia ensures to give the children the best possible upbringing, even if she may seem a little strict sometimes.

The decades challenge ✿ Important info:

I’ll be mainly following CuteCoffeGal’s rules, with some slight adjustments to better fit my own playing style. 

For the world, I'm using the @antiquatedplumbobs’ Antiquated Brindleton save file as a base, again with some changes to fit my intended story lines and such.

The stories explored during the gameplay will contain adult themes and may contain some sensitive topics, although not completely NSFW i wouldn't recommend following it if you’re under 18 or can be affected by themes such as death, grief, family conflicts, etc. Any updates that may be triggering will have warnings.

If you are a cc creator and see any of your content being used improperly, please contact me so i can take it off the blog. I’ll always try to tag the main creators I use and give the well deserved credits.

Lastly, this is my first playthrough of this challenge and first time posting my sims gameplay on tumblr so it certainly won’t be perfect. Also, english is not my first language, so I apologise for any mistakes in advance!
