I found the rest of the excerpt from June of 2021 that i wrote but never finished lmao so here since i was cleaning out my drafts

"I don't understand why they can share their identities, and I'm left in the dark about EVERYTHING—"

"Chaton, I saw myself die."

Silence cut through the air as he turned to Ladybug, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"What?"

She paused through ragged breaths as she lowered herself on the roof, sitting down.

"I—" She attempted to breathe before continuing.

"Bunnyx, she...I was taken to an alternate reality where you found out my identity."

Chat Noir leaned in closer, brows furrowed under the mask as he listened intently.

"I'm— M-minou I'm so sorry." She gasped.

"You told me our love destroyed the world. You were white... and called yourself Chat Blanc."

Tears flooded again as she relived the memory over again. From fighting her kitty to her statue, to the endless nightmares of him...

"Ladybug... why didn't you tell me?"

"I-I didn't want you to get hurt, I didn't want that to happen again. Being the Guardian... This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life." She attempted to rub her eyes.

"I just— All of the stress of hiding everything from everyone, nearly losing all of my friends, having to break up with my boyfriend, it was too much!"

She sighed.

"I revealed my identity to Rena."

Chat's eyes widened.

"What?"

"If I'm going to tell you the truth, I may as well tell you everything—"

Ladybug was cut off by a hug. It initially caught her off guard... She figured he would be mad.

"You're carrying so much." Chat spoke.

"You're... you're not mad?" Ladybug mumbled.

"M'lady, you're dealing with the weight of the world on your shoulders. I didn't know it was this bad!" Chat closed his eyes.

"Don't you remember? It's us against the world. I won't let anything happen to you."

Tears flooded again. The weight, while still feeling large, felt just a bit lighter.

Silence cut through the air as he turned to Ladybug, tears rolling down her cheeks.

“What?”
