have you ever had one of those dreams where you get the impending feeling of pure, unbridled, cruel, doom? and like you know something will happen, whether you like it or not; and there’s nothing you can do to stop it. every step. every corner you turn. every detail, every variable is going to get YOU. everyone you meet, you can’t tell if they’ll be alive in a minute. the footsteps? anyway, I’m just asking cuz like I just took my 12:00pm nappy and now I have an urge to write one shot fan fiction in my favorite artist’s ask box. anyway. love you!!!

Hello! Any advice for newbies starting at KCAI? Thank you!

make realistic goals and plans that actually work for you. all-nighters will happen and are inevitable. if you’re a workaholic, that’s great. taking time to actually be a person is great too though, and i think it’s important to have a sort of balance there. things will be awesome some days and things’ll absolutely suck other days. stick to it if you have the drive for it and you’ll do just fine. be respectful of your peers and especially your faculty. be mature when the setting calls for it, and maintain that for class crits. it goes a long way being cordial! don’t beat yourself up over failures or shortcomings. it’s all part of the experience, and you’ll be a better artist for it.

make the most out of your time in college. it’ll likely breeze past ya quicker than you think. you’re gonna do great :]
