While the party is in Dementlieu, there are places the non-humanoid characters aren't allowed to go. No worries when you've got magic and a ring of spell storing. Valk was adamant about not changing for the people there so Tinker tried to keep his disguise as close as she could to what he might look like as a fancy human. He didn't end up using it (so far) but was impressed with it.

One of our players ran a one shot/prologue session where we made characters that were the opposite to our go tos. I ended up making Jackal, the priest turned warlock when Horus didn't choose him to receive magical blessings after many years of service.

He's kinda the worst but I love to hate him? There's great banter between him and Cecil (the paladin Horus did choose) and he kinda ended up with these entitled nice guy vibes which is fun for a warlock imo He also has a familiar pseudodragon named Frostbite whose apparent low intelligence explains why he stuck around for so long

Not gonna lie, the aftermath of Tinker's death saves was incredibly sweet with the party looking after her while she was out of sorts (and deciding to prank her with a fake mustache and earring when they decided she was okay)

It was a rough day...

Baby's first death saves! Poor Tink hit 0 hp twice in the first day (for them) of the second campaign. She seems to have used up 8 lives already if this battle is anything to go by.

After the team fought two demons to save the town of Dementlieu, they were unofficially arrested by the townguard (rude). Even with Tinker looking catatonic (pun intended) she got shackled along with Valk and Foks (who was disguised as a lizardfolk at the time). Everything was smoothed over in the end and Tinker is none the wiser... She has no memory of what happened... Probably for the best.. oof

One of our players dmed a oneshot during a break so the party got to meet Leon, the son of a fantasy Italian restaurant owner who was causing problems for an npc we helped in the beginning of the campaign. Leon's business was interfering with Rian's Hotcakes and that just wouldn't do.

Negotiations went about as well as they always do for us so Valk and Leon brawled it out for a bit. Tinker was hopped up on caffeine at the time which made the eventual peaceful interactions interesting to say the least

My friend wrote a really nice scene of his character seeing the room Tinker had put together for him and I wanted to doodle his npc Pablo listening in. Naturally, it needed context so I drew Tinker, Foks, and Iggy (the dog) as well. While the perspective is way off, I still quite like how this one turned out. The characters feel more like themselves than they usually do

Tinker's Room (Room 5/5)

Tinker likes to sleep on the roof but that's not always feasible so why not have a treehouse in her room? Genius

I was so relieved to finally get to the last room but it was a slog to get through haha Tinker's a bit of a scatterbrain so there were a million tiny things to add that she'd left out or got distracted and forgot she was using. I have no idea how the tree works but I lowkey love this room so it doesn't need to make sense (this time)

The Obsidian Manor Maps

This project (and the following isometric rooms) took most of the beginning of the year. It was a lot of hard work and totally out of my wheel house but it was also a lot of fun to work out what I wanted to include

Our DM asked if I could do up a floor plan of how the team might have renovated a manor we were given and if I might hide a few easter eggs in there as well. It seems the party was distracted with their own things while renovations were happening and my cleric was left to make most of the decisions (lucky for me, questionable for them lol). She added a lot of nice things for each person... then the gods intervened and skewed things to make sure no one forgot the path they set was simply delayed, not avoided.

All in all, I stuffed over 600 things in the maps and iso rooms for my friends to find :3

Tinker trot wip

I'm not sure that I'll get around to finishing this, I was mostly just trying stuff out while working on a big project (unrelated) and had some fun trying animation again. I got swept up in other stuff so she's been sitting unfinished for months oof

I try to lean into the fact Tabaxi are supposed to be a mix of the Cat God's favourite cat and humanoid traits so Tinker swaps between bipedal and quadrupedal movement depending on what suits the situation. As a healer, she's got to keep her paws clean but when you're up to shenanigans (or running from the rammies of them) going full cat can be very beneficial!

So it was my DM's bday in January and I decided why not try to capture his homebrewed session in a picture. How hard could it be? Like 100 hours later, I finally had this to give him haha I wanted to play around with perspective to give a really of kilter, dreamish feel to it. My tone work still needs a lot of work but I'm really happy with how touchable Ivander's coat came out ^u^
