Texting
Texting is the top source of communication nowadays, as well as a tool used to keep emotions hidden with emojis, extra quotation marks, or a simple “okay”. However I mostly keep this tool for communicating with others that aren’t near me at the moment. Usually if I’m going to see the person the following day and it isn’t anything of high importance I wait until then. However texting and calling are both used simultaneously for me. Some may argue that texting easier and quicker and although I do type fast, sometimes it’s just easier to talk.
Talking for me, is more preferable than texting - if it’s something quick, or something important. I usually have other things to do so calling definitely eases that process. One of the other pros to calling is the ability to hear another person’s voice. A lot of my friends live far from me, so simply hearing them instead of trying to determine their tone of voice through text is preferable. However texting comes easy when you simply don’t have time to call, but can just shoot a text and get your message out instantly. Some conversations, nevertheless, are just better waiting for a conversation. Big questions, confessions, and other things are better to understand in person, and get the big picture - instead of a screen.
The most important news I received by text was possibly the birth of my cousin in Mexico; usually big things are said in person.

Infographic Commentary:
I particularly like this infographic because it pertains to photographic elements and combines them with design. They have made correlations between peoples faces, recognizable objects, and an overall colour palette. I also distinguish this one because it combines aspects that others do not - graphs, pie charts, line scales, and figures are all include to present the information in an interesting and appealing way.

Do you think athletes should be allowed to use performance-enhancing drugs, if the drugs are deemed to be safe. What, to you, are the limits of “performance-enhancing” and “safety?”
I don't approve performance-enhancing drugs in any way. This however, excludes prosthetics or any other apparatus that physically helps a handicapped person that wants to compete. The problem here is that optimum "safety" will most likely never be reached. This is because athletes are used to competition, and if they for some reason see their opponents using more doses of a particular drug, they too will want to surpass or be at par with them to have an advantage. There may be a "safety" level if each athlete took however much it is prescribed to them, but then again there have been many cases in which athletes obtain these drugs any other way. MayoClinic argues that each drug has both long-term and short-term risks. These can pose severe medical conditions such as heart rhythm abnormalities, heart attacks, and other circulatory problems. Safety is when athletes use their raw ability to outperform others, without the use of a drug. Anyone can have access to these and although it may help in the moment, there is no guarantee that safety is reached in terms of health. Everything in moderation, but unfortunately considering the competitiveness of these sports I scarcely see a chance that athletes will consider it.

Somebody App
July is responding to the very premise of what our culture fears. Breaking up with somebody you love, proposing, or even admitting when we’re at fault are all characteristics that no one wishes to deal with, and therefore having an app that does it instead is just one way to live easier.
I think I would participate in Miranda’s project for a few things, however I feel like I would be more unhappy if I used it regularly. I enjoy seeing people’s emotions when telling them good news, and when bad, I feel like it’s a learning experience altogether. Missing out on these key points in life will make me feel more alienated from the person receiving my message. By avoiding to deal with the hardships, I won’t appreciate all the better moments life has to offer, and eventually develop a fear of doing things on my own.
I found this video very amusing - something that maybe people would’ve craved of having at one point in their lives. Although the two friends made up right next to each other I question if that weren’t the case. Imagine not seeing a good reconciliation with one of your closest friends?
I also loved the ending, this just proves that Miranda knows the extent in which this app can go to and comically portrays it up to the outmost detail.
Overall, I will probably download the app just for the experience.

For Project 2 the idea consists of a long-distance friendship. Coffee spills, crumbled letters, and envelopes full of tears and nostalgia.
Investigation for this project will take place in a mailbox, park, and looking at the sky. I will try to integrate the disorganization of missing closed ones and the baggage that comes from it.

3D's grand scale of services is now providing more than enough ways to live life more practically. With the ability researchers have to investigate the uses, many of them include the use of body prototypes, models from an incoming design, and small practical items like paperholders. These small advances could have the capability of somethung that has never been seen before. Advances will soon lead to the ability of designing more clearly, and allowing ourselves to perfect a design made from scratch. Amazon's Wand Ever wonder if there is a new way to execute online shopping? Amazon's wand was that exact purpose; facilitate the use of the shopping cart. The new amazon wand may be the thing that people have been searching for, however it is quite the contrary. The wand's purpose is to scan a product to add to cart or speak into the device and find it manually. Unfortunately this becomes redundant as voice recognition doesn't work assmoothlt, and the uses of the scanner on food often lead to deciding quantity, type, and amount. These $49.99 can easily be used in something that could be of use to our daily lives and do things that we haven't already been doing before.

Print Revolution - Gary Grimshaw
These post modernism take on liberation vs. repression relate to the thoughts famous and upcoming people had in their minds. Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Trotsky, picasso, and a few others were highlighted by taking place in a photo montage.These controversial figures took a large part on forming history as of now, and seeing how artists in the past acknowledged them made me feel a part of it. Seeming to speak a message, words like liberation, war, exploration, and understanding, captivated these three pieces and tied them together with just one word: Peace.
