How horrific it is that our parents wants us to be, anything this world considers as, successful but only at the cost of our mental health and happiness, simply, us. Their childern earning huge money is more important for them than them(their children) living a simple minimalistic life earning just as much to support it while doing things at their own pace. As if earning money and becoming successful than their peers or that neighbour or that relative is everything.

It's not their fault, not completely. The society we are living in, the government we are controlled by, the competition we are surrounded with, it all puts this false hope that if we earn huge money then we will be successful. If you aren't earning as much as the amount this society considers as 'sufficient and huge' you aren't living at all.

Ofcourse we need money to survive. And for that we either need to start a business, have a job or a profession. Agree.

But can't we just slow down. We are young. It has only been 21 years since I'm born, and 17 years of it has already been spent in school learning things that I might not even be using in the future and further 3 years getting a degree. I haven't even stepped into this real world and haven't dealt with the real people and I'm already been pressurized to look for a stable and high paying job just to compete with other fellow humans!?

Theoretically, it all seems perfectly fine and logical and doable and achievable but when comes to its practicality, it's just vague and mentally exhausting.

Why can't we take it slow? Why can't we, for example, start working at a café and then move to something 'big'? Why do we have to have a great job right away? Why can't we just figure it out slowly at our own pace? Hell why do we need to compete at all? Life wasn't supposed to be like this. It wasn't.
