when i say “sad boy/girl hours” i mean i’m thinking about alia atreides at sixteen fucking years old saying,
“i wish i could burn this thing out of me…but i’m sister to an emperor who is worshipped as a god. people fear me. i never wanted to be feared. i don’t want to be part of history; i just want to be loved. and love.”

I think people are underestimating the skill and governing ability necessary to running a large castle, especially in Sansa’s position at the Vale, as someone with no real claim to authority aside from her largely unpopular “father.” There are actually numerous similarities between governing a household and governing a realm - from the maintenance of expenses to the delegation of responsibilities to the resolution of disputes. And to do so with the authority and decisiveness that Sansa exhibits in the Eyrie takes incredible leadership potential.
If I am being absolutely honest, I find this off-hand dismissal of the skills that Sansa hones as de facto Lady of the Eyrie quite misogynistic in nature. Simply because governing a household (and anyone with knowledge of medieval society knows that medieval castles were like miniature cities) is something that is largely considered to be part of the “feminine” or “domestic” sphere, readers summarily dismiss it as something which uses a different set of skills from the ones necessary to ruling a region or a kingdom. But that is simply untrue. Running a large castle requires careful management of finances - just as running a kingdom requires the management of taxes and spending by the crown - knowing which servants or household members are capable of undertaking which responsibilities - just as running a kingdom requires knowing which members of your court are capable of serving you in which capacities - and resolving disputes and conflicts of interest between members of the household and household staff - just as a king or queen must dispense justice to disputing subjects. To put it in simpler terms, both a large household and a kingdom require good managers.
So, yes, actually, I do think Sansa would make quite a capable ruler even at this point in her narrative. She has demonstrated an ability to manage and govern people even when she has no real authority over them as well as a notable ability to keep calm and rational under stress, both vital leadership skills regardless of whether an individual is running a nation or a household. Are there still valid grounds for concern? Yes. But to dismiss the significance of Sansa running an entire castle as “non-contributory” to learning to rule is to continue to overlook traditionally “feminine” achievements as somehow “less” than “masculine” ones (i.e. Bran being told by Maester Luwin and his other advisers what to do and say as the “Lord of Winterfell”).

I read your response and i understand I just wanted to know out of curiosity. Do you think you could ever write for another fandom you’re obsessed with like do you ever think of expanding the things you write for? Please don’t take this as me pressuring you to expand your fandom I just wanted to ask because some of the authors I have followed before they lost interest in writing for the fandom they write about, however it was because they only wrote for one show/book so i wanted to ask if you think of expanding because if you do that, it tends to minimize the risk of getting writers block in my opinion since I am also a writer and it’s more fun. Anyway I hope you have a wonderful day or night. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I totally get it, I just stopped writing out of the blue and haven’t really addressed it. I’m always looking for things that’ll get me back into writing so I do appreciate this!
I have actually thought about writing for other fandoms but the ones I’m currently obsessed with are Stars Wars and Dune. I’ve written for Star Wars before but I don’t know if I will again. Dune is a whole other monster, though. I want to write for it but the universe in those books isn’t something I fully understand so I’m gonna steer clear of that.
I do have a hockey blog where I occasionally write, though! (I am stressing the word occasionally lol)

I’m watching Fleabag for the first time. I was over here expecting a comedy (it is very funny) but now I’m anxious and emotionally drained.

Hi how are you I wanted to ask you why have you stopped writing and I don’t mean it to come off rude I just wanted to know I read some of you old fics from your old vlog however I’ve been following you for a year, even though this account would say that I only followed you for a few weeks or month this is my new account. I made a new account but in my old account followed you back then and for a long time since I followed you, you have not been writing any kind of fanfics and I just wanted to know the reason, however if you do not feel comfortable telling me then you may delete this message I won’t get offended, and I completely understand. You might have some personal problems that you do not wish to speak of I just wanted to know out of curiosity. I hope you have a good day or night. 😊🥰❤️😍❤️❤️❤️
This wasn’t rude at all and it’s a fair question! I’m a super fickle writer. When I stopped writing I had writers block but when I got it back I wasn’t as into the show anymore because it had been so long.
There’s a good chance that I’ll probably start writing again once the second season comes out.

Hi, I was reading your old stuff. You know about a song of ice and fire and some of your links do not work in the master list they say they can’t find a post or there is no post there when I press on it. I just wanted to inform you.
Thank you but I know, I deleted some of them and haven’t updated my Masterlist.

Alysanne doesn't get dragged enough for ruining Viserra's life.
While Jaehaerys was no Father of the Year and made questionable decisions regarding some of his children - especially Saera - he wasn't the one mainly responsible for what went wrong with Viserra, though he wasn't faultless either. His mistake was that he didn't put a stop to the absurdity that was her betrothal.
Betrothing Viserra to Theomore Manderly makes no sense from any perspective whatsoever. While the match was obviously a personal disaster for the girl,it wasn't politically advantageous either because Manderly already had his heirs and spares. Any children born of him and Viserra would have no prospects.
Alysanne's reason for wanting to prevent Viserra's marriage to Baelon - that she wanted to become queen - was absurd too because Aemon was still alive and kicking back then. And, even if Baelon didn't want to remarry after Alyssa, are we supposed to believe that all the young and eligible lords of the Realm were unavailable that Theomore was the only option left? Heck Corlys was still unmarried back then.
It was also someone hypocritical of Alysanne because, on one hand, she had blamed Jaehaerys for forcing Daella to marry at a young age only to go on to betroth the fifteen-year-old Viserra to a man old enough to be her grandfather.
The only plausible reason I can draw from this incident is that Alysanne had a dislike for Viserra and this betrothal was her extreme way of humbling the girl for having normal desires that any princess or noblewoman would.

dune has the best women characters because there's no fake girl power hand-holding trying to over-justify their unethical decisions or make them badass. instead they're all mask-off cringe fail bioengineers and deranged cult leaders, in some cases before they're even born
