Tell me you're a male author without telling me you're a male author

A female starship captain is introduced: "Gladstone was a tall, well-built blonde, whose good humor seemed as irrepressible as the ample curves beneath the surface of her uniform." I get that, as a captain, her curves are 100% relevant here. Sadly, it's impossible to understand the male senior officer characters, as their curves remain unknown. So, in case anyone needs additional character analysis:

Kirk was a short, fit blonde, perfectly built for a cozy wrestle in the sand, with thicc tits that spilled out of his lirpa-split uniform.

Spock was a tall, raven-haired beauty, whose long, shapely legs could bend him over a scope in ways no captain could ignore.

McCoy was a pretty brunette with big blue eyes, no ass, and had a pouty lower lip that seemed as irrepressible as the ample chest and arm hair beneath the surface of his silky top.

In each category there will be a Gold (first place) and a Silver (second place) winner.

The winners will be announced during KiScon 2023 (3-5 Nov). Each winner will receive a certificate and a small prize; we will contact the winners after the convention weekend.

If we suspect sockpuppet activity, we will get in touch for clarification. We keep the voting process completely confidential! Only the KiScon concom will see the submitted forms.

In each category you can pick one work.

Restored film frame, Star Trek: The Original Series, "And the Children Shall Lead"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but while the turbolift scene does include a close up of Spock, we never see Kirk's hands around his neck in it. In the final cut, Kirk grabs him in a different shot with both actors in the frame.

All this time I thought the Horta was a reference to Guy de Maupassant's short horror story by the same name. I just realized no one's been talking about this connection because... he wrote "The Horla". "The Horla" Wikipedia page does, however, mention "Wolf in the Fold" as featuring "a Horla-like entity". So I guess you should never wave at passing ships or café dancers unless you want a Horla problem.

Restored film frame, Star Trek: The Original Series, "All Our Yesterdays"

It usually takes me several days to a week to restore just one frame, but it's so satisfying when that one little tweak suddenly brings everything back to life. And at full resolution it's cool to see tiny details like makeup lines, individual grey hairs, peach fuzz on ears, hidden zippers etc. I'm so glad I was able to find a close up of Deforest Kelley's eyes. 💙ᴗ💙
