MOVIE FACTS: In Goncharov (1973), at around 10 minutes 4 seconds into the film, what many fans have claimed to be a DeLorean can be seen for a few frames. This is thought to be in reference to Back to The Future (1985), considering the significance of clocks in the film's narrative.

This mystery has puzzled fans and critics alike for decades, seeing as the DeLorean car was not yet on the market, and Back to The Future would not release for another 12 years. Some have even speculated on fan forums such as the Official Goncharov Wiki that director Martin Scorsese, Robert Zemeckis, and John DeLorean made a secret deal to place this impossible reference in the film to drum up excitement for Goncharov's rumored sequel, which was allegedly scheduled for release in December of 1985. However, talk of a sequel has neither been confirmed nor denied, as director Martin Scorsese has famously refused to comment on the alleged reference, claiming that fans are "looking too deep into this movie."

the discord had an idea about a bttf zombie au and so, naturally, i wrote a bunch of shit for it :)

basically there’s a zombie outbreak and right at the beginning (before anyone knows what’s happening) marty gets bit :)

as soon as marty realizes what’s going on he runs away with out telling anybody as to not worry them. marty is now missing at the beginning of the outbreak and everyone (family, doc, +jenn) are freaking the fuck out and pretty much assume that hes dead (they can’t bring themselves to think of him being a zombie). the outbreak is getting worse and everyone is pretty much told to try to stay indoors and destroy any zombies they can. doc is outside of his garage one day (for some reason) when he hears a zombie from the woods (aw man /ref) he takes out a gun or smthn, ready to kill it but recognizes that it is in fact marty! uh oh! he is devistated and cant do anything more than watch as marty slowly comes closer. marty starts attacking (like zombies do) and doc is reminded that that is not his friend, but he still can’t bring himself to kill it. hes able to hold it off and lock the zombie up somewhere in his lab. he starts to try and find a cure.

at some point jennifer visits doc in the garage (maybe they bonded after the outbreak started) sees marty, and completely breaks down. doc helps her calm down and explains what hes trying to do, she decides to help him.

it takes a long time. by now the outbreak is under control. most towns have fences and guards and stuff to keep the zombies out. but they finished the cure. they give it to him and he passes out, jenn and doc take him out and puts him on the cott and just, watch him till he wakes up (with weapons of course, in case it didn’t work).

hours later he wakes up and is,,, confused. he doesn’t fully remember what happened yet and doesnt know he was (is) a zombie hahahaa. doc and jenn are both full on sobbing (cause they got him back) and martys freaking out and they’re eventually able to all calm down and explain everything

martys pretty much houselocked cause there’s no way he can go outside with the way he now looks. they decide that they can’t tell his family that hes ok because they’ve come to terms with him being dead and telling them that he was a zombie but is ok now would just be too much.

uh marty is like,, full on existential crisis about being dead but not? for awhile he considers himself a monster before doc and jenn are able to talk to him and help him

right that’s all i got

some more back to the future headcanons! mainly doc n mart mart of course

autistic doc n marty is definitely canon and not just a head canon trust me. im autistic so let me have this one i’ve earned it😡<this is half joke

OK HC TIME i hope these don’t SUCK

-doc is secretly a really good artist. he just never has motivation or time to draw anything really good, unless it’s for science. but even then, he usually doesn’t waste time making a perfect blueprint. he speeds along to get his thoughts down, which means messy lines and a shitty drawing. but, he’s able to draw FAST and has good awareness of size + space which makes his blueprints actually good albeit messy.

>One day Marty asks doc if he has any hobbies outside of just science, and the topic is brought up. Marty’s like the average person when they hear someone’s an artist and is like ‘holy shit doc draw me!’ So doc agrees. and the drawing is actually good? insanity. docs a better artist than everyone and it isn’t FAIR.

-During his time travels, Doc brings marty a ton of gifts. He gives him clothes from different time periods, which Marty wears despite them obviously not fitting the time period he’s in; needless to say, he’s started a few trends lmao. Doc also brings him odd instruments that he doesn’t know how to play, and Marty keeps them as projects for the week, before showing off what he can play with em. Marty’s prized possession is a really old acoustic guitar Doc got for him, and painted with a bunch of cute clocks. wholesome. He also likes to bring cds and records from all sorts of bands from all sorts of eras. imagine marty jamming out to glass animals, cursed image.

-Marty hates dancing. That’s it.

-Doc hyperfixates on obscure things. Surprisingly enough, he has time to watch TV and read books and shit outside of his science, and will spend a good few months on one topic. He definitely tries to build replicas of his favorite things from whatever it is he finds interesting. WORKING replicas.

-Doc comes to our 2022 and makes DIY ragebait videos for a living.

-Doc regularly wears trench coats. the only time he doesn’t is if he’s working in his lab (lab coat time) or it simply doesn’t fit the time period. trench coats are always in style.

-Doc and Marty get therapy together . perfect world where doc realizes just leaving his adopted son behind is a BAD idea, especially when he’s left him with something as heavy as time travel and the inability to discuss it with ANYONE because doing such could either destroy the timeline or make him seem insane. i think it would be wholesome if doc went to psychology school just to legally be marty’s therapist and do a good job at it lmao.

-after time traveling, marty tends to develop insomnia and can only sleep if he crashes at docs place for the first few nights. doc assumes it’s some side affect of time travel. it’s really not though, marty does it cause doc is the only constant in his life and he needs to make sure he’s in the right timeline and that doc is his doc.

-lowkey wish jules and verne didn’t exist. not that i don’t want doc and clara to be happy, just that…. they should’ve adopted marty 😭. alternate timeline where this is the case and they all just time travel together; in the time period they left behind theyre essentially missing, but they never come back. marty expresses that he thinks it’s the best route, since he never truly feels comfortable in the timeline he was left in. i know a lot of ppl r gonna be like BUT WHAT ABOUT WHEN DOC AND CLARA INEVITABLY PASS? THEN WAT MART MART GONNA DO. here’s my answer. they will NEVER die they will live forever. either something in the future grants them immortality, or the fact they’re stuck in limbo time traveling everywhere, the universe kinda forgets about them and they cheat death.

-in a timeline where everything is the same as the movie, marty adopts a Swiss White Shepherd. when doc meets the puppy this is the convo :::

marty: hey, doc, i adopted a dog. I kinda stole your idea by naming him after a really cool scientist.

doc: oh? what scientist, then? Newton? Galileo? Benjamin Franklin?

marty: i named him doc :]

doc: :,0

-I feel like there’d be times when Doc becomes full blown night owl while marty remains the standard ‘im up during the DAY.’ and then for those times they only see each other for like 2 hours before one of them passes out. it’s like ‘goodmorning marty aaaaand goodnight.’

-doc now has an entire book filled with diseases from every time period, how to heal them and such. this is because he and marty had time traveled to the future and marty ended up contracting a severe illness that doc knew nothing about. because marty nearly diEd, doc was like ‘hmmm maybe let’s not let this happen again.’ and now he got the book.

-marty sometimes just. cries. poor guy.

-doc also cries a lot. I HATE THAt like everyone’s like ‘let marty rest’ like YES do that but DOC? LET DOC REST too pls omfg his entire life has been a struggle he has this fuckin 17 year old appear then disappear for decades while claiming to be his friend, as a guy who has literally no friends, the timeline hates him he’s died like 15 times this POOR MAN. PLEASE. DOC. SLEEP.
