Goodreads 1 star reviews complaining about how the book was trying to be "edgy". Babes you picked up a book about sci-fi necromancers with a cover of an aviator-wearing skull-painted lesbian and you weren't expecting to run into any edge lords or emos? Forever is a scary word. It means commitment. It means loving a person forever, even if you’re frustrated by them.

That word has never been used in my relationships and I understand now that it is because they don’t believe we’d be together forever, and I didn’t either.

No matter how much my silly hopeless lesbian brain wanted it.

But now, at almost a year, I’m realizing that it’s ok to want a forever with someone. It’s ok to still feel anxious and scared and nervous and all the feelings with a person you want that forever with.

Because I know we both will be committed to each other throughout time.

Honestly I trust tumblr a little more than the news or the president because the people here do incredible research and Palestinian voices aren’t silenced here and the wording is all beautiful yet heartbreaking.
