The Mysterious Book that is written in an alien language : The voynich manuscript

The Voynich manuscript is an illustrated codex hand-written in an otherwise unknown writing system or script with. Very little use of Latin, referred to as 'Voynichese'. The vellum on which it is written has been carbon-dated to the early 15th century (1404–1438), and stylistic analysis indicates it may have been composed in Italy during the Italian Renaissance. The origins, authorship, and purpose of the manuscript are debated. Various hypotheses have been suggested, including that it is an otherwise unrecorded script for a natural language or constructed language; an unread code, cypher, or other form of cryptography; or simply a meaningless hoax.

The DEAR BOSS LETTER by Jack,the ripper.

Dear Boss,

I keep on hearing the police have caught me but they wont fix me just yet. I have laughed when they look so clever and talk about being on the right track. That joke about Leather Apron gave me real fits. I am down on whores and I shant quit ripping them till I do get buckled. Grand work the last job was. I gave the lady no time to squeal. How can they catch me now. I love my work and want to start again. You will soon hear of me with my funny little games. I saved some of the proper red stuff in a ginger beer bottle over the last job to write with but it went thick like glue and I cant use it. Red ink is fit enough I hope ha. ha. The next job I do I shall clip the ladys ears off and send to the police officers just for jolly wouldn’t you. Keep this letter back till I do a bit more work, then give it out straight. My knife’s so nice and sharp I want to get to work right away if I get a chance. Good Luck. Yours truly

Jack, the ripper was a serial killer who was unidentified and is attributed to 5 serial murders in White Chappell in England. His victims were mostly prostitutes and sex workers working in White Chapel. The name Jack,the Ripper is originated from a letter claiming himself to be Jack, the ripper. It was seen from the character of the murders that the murderer possessed some surgical knowledge and possibly must be an educated person like a doctor.

During the late mid 18th century, the economical condition of Britain became weak with the entry of Irish immigrants. To add salt to the wound,Jewish immigration also increased tremendously. Such conditions led to increase in poverty,Crime,murder, violence, Kidnapping etc. In order to survive such situations many women relied on prostitution for their survival. The number of Brothels in Whitechapel increased to 62 with 1200 sex workers.

Amidst the turmoil and chaos ,in the autumn of 1988 a series of murders took place. According to London Metropolitan police service reports eleven murders took place from 3rd April,1888 to 13th February,1891which came to be known as ‘the Whitechapel murders’ . These murders were very cruel and horrible and can be distinguished by the linkage between each murders. The murders were very similar to each other and five of the eleven murders were believed to be the work of Jack,the Ripper. The five canonical murders included genital mutilation,Organ removal,wounded throat by cut, and facial mutilation.

The canonical five murders victims are Marry Ann Nicholas, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Endowess and Mary Jane Kelly. This murders are attributed to the Ripper. These murders have remained a topic for research, investigation, folklore and as a script for movies till the present day. Various sources ,interpretors and various reports give different opinions and different explanations to the murders and yet still there is space for discussion.Most of these murders happened at night and during the end of. Month or a week . And the brutality of murders increased with each murder.

There were hundreds of letters during the period sent to the police. Most of them were suggestions on catching the ripper,some letters were claimed to be written by the Ripper himself. But three of them are very important. The ‘from hell’ letter, the ‘Dear Boss’ letter and the ‘Saucy Jacky’ .

The from hell letter was received by George Lusk of the Whitechapel Vigilance committee along with half of a kidney with the letter. The kidney is most possibly taken out from one of the victims. The Dear Boss letter dated 25 September,1888 and postmarked on 27 September,1888 was considered a hoax but Eddowess who was initially mentioned in the letter was found dead three days later. Eddowess ears have been cut out but the promise of sending the lady’s ear was not carried out.

The “Dear Boss” letter was written in red ink, was two pages long and contains several spelling and punctuation errors. The overall motivation of the author was evidently to mock investigative efforts and to allude to future murders. The letter itself reads:

The story of the Dracula.

Vlad Dracula,born in Transylvania,Romania (1431 AD - 1476 AD)commonly known as Vlad, the impaler or Vlad III was a ruler of wallachia in Romania. He ruled Wallachia during the 14th century and reigned 3 times during his Lifetime. He was considered a very important ruler in the History of Romania. His father was Vlad II or Vlad dracul. It is clear that the term Dracula is inherent from his father.

He was famous for his Cruel methods of torturing and punishing his enemies. It was rumoured that he would drink his enemies blood and ate bread soaked in blood. It is widely believed that Bram Stroker's Dracula in 1897 is inspired from him. Then later addition and interpretation by various writers and stories gave birth to the concept of vampires .His method of impaling enemies for showcasing to the people had earned him the title of Impaler. Vlad Dracula has gone through various ups and downs throughout his life.

Vlad succeeded in defending Wallachia from the Ottoman invasion in 1456.Sultan Mehmed II retreated his invasion after he saw about 20,000 bodies impaled on metal poles were hanging for display. The sight was so horrible with crows and scavengers feeding on the dead bodies that the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II retreated from invading Wallachia.

It is reported that Vlad Dracula's head was sent to Mehmed II after he was killed and set up in the city's Gates for display.

The Brazen Bull or the Bronze Bull

The Brazen Bull also called the Bronze Bull or the Sicilian Bull or the Phalaris Bull,was a torture and killing instrument used in Ancient Greece .

According to legends, Perilaus was the first person to get the idea of inventing and building a new device that can be used to kill criminals.

The Bull was made entirely of bronze and was hollow inside,The Brazen Bull was designed in such a way with certain horns on it that produces a acoustic sound. It had a door for introducing a person inside. Then a fire was placed under the Bull ,Due to the heat of the fire the person inside screams and shouts which can be heard like a real Bull Bellowing from the outside. The person was roasted until death.

Perilaus(the designer and inventor) is said to have commanded that the bull be designed in such a way that its smoke rose in spicy clouds of incense.According to legend, when the bull was reopened after a body was charred, the victim’s scorched bones then “shone like jewels and were made into bracelets.

Strangely, Perilaus became the first person to be tested for the experiment. Perilaus believed he would receive a reward for his invention. Instead, Phalaris(king), who was disgusted by these words, ordered its horn sound system to be tested by Perilaus himself, tricking him into getting in the bull. When Perilaus entered, he was immediately locked in and the fire was set, so that Phalaris could hear the sound of his screams. Before Perilaus could die, Phalaris opened the door and took him away. After freeing him from the bull, Phalaris is then said to have taken Perilaus to the top of a hill and thrown him off, killing him. Phalaris himself is claimed to have been killed in the brazen bull when he was overthrown by Telemachus, the ancestor of Theron.

Adam's Bridge,also known as Rama's Bridge or Rama Setu,is a chain of natural limestone shoals, between Pamban Island, also known as Rameswaram Island, off the south-eastern coast of Tamil Nadu, India, and Mannar Island, off the north-western coast of Sri Lanka. Geological evidence suggests that this bridge is a former land connection between India and Sri Lanka. The bridge is 48 km long.

This bridge was beleved to be in connection with Ramayana where An ancient race of apes (vanara) built this bridge to help Rama kill the Demon King Ravana.

Christians and Islam also believe that it has connection with their respective religion.

Bhimkund (also known as Neelkund) is a natural water tank and a holy place in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is located near Bajna village in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh. It is 77 km away from Chhatarpur by road in the Bundelkhand region

Bhimkund is a natural water source and a holy place that dates from the era of the Mahabharata. The water of the kund (tank) is so clean and transparent that one can clearly see fish swimming in the water. The kund lies in a cave, about 3 metres from the mouth. To the left of the entrance is a small Shivalinga. The pool is a deep indigo blue which contrasts with the red stone walls.

A story from the Mahabharata links Bhimkund with the Pandavas. Weary under the scorching Surya, Draupadi fainted of thirst. Bhim, the strongest of the five brothers, hit the ground with his gada water surged out and the pool came into being.

The roof of the cave has a small opening just above the kund; this is the place Bhim is said to have hit with his gada.

Though many measures have been taken to calculate it's depth but still scientists have failed to determine its depth. It is said that the kund connects to another city.

A megalith carved from a rock cliff face, it is considered one of the most remarkable cave temples in the world because of its size, architecture and sculptural treatment, and "the climax of the rock-cut phase of Indian architecture". The top of the superstructure over the sanctuary is 32.6 metres (107 ft) above the level of the court below,although the rock face slopes downwards from the rear of the temple to the front. Archaeologists believe it is made from a single rock.

Its construction is generally attributed to the Rashtrakuta king Krishna I (r. 756-773 CE), based on two epigraphs that link the temple to "Krishnaraja"
