((Ey, yo! I'm making some of these RP borders for my characters, so y'all know who you're writing with.
((And, with this, I'll be opening RPs with the other two characters on this blog besides Spectra. Ichabod and Bertrand with both get starters and if y'all wanna RP with them in specific, feel free to send an ask and specify which of the trio you'd like to interact with.

✨️when u get this u have to put 5 songs u actually listen to, publish. Then, send this ask to some of your favorite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool)🎶✨️
Got tagged by @thesilent-o to do this and am finally able to get to it. So, here's some songs that are regularly on Spectra's playlists.
- "Come on Eileen" - by Save Ferris - "Summer Nights" - by Siames - "Way Less Sad" - by AJR - "Could Have Been Me" - by The Struts - "Waltz for Sweatpants" - by Cody Fry
Tagging some friends to do this too. I think knowing the kind of music your character likes and listens to definitely says a lot about them and where they're at in their lives. (or afterlives, as the case may be here lol) @nebula-gaster @strikers-saloon @immediatexmurderxprofessionals

Spectra pulled out her phone and blinked at it, trying to put two and two together when she KNEW she hadn't given him her number. Through to alcoholic fog she managed to cobble together an idea, with his suggestion and smiled back at the bug man. "You really are clever, aren't you?"
She giggled and let her head roll back to rest on the rooftop. The red sky above them loomed and for once she was glad she'd decided to start drinking before she'd gotten home. Her memory of the day's meaning hadn't been forgotten, but the emotions surrounding it were muffled now. The result of good booze, some off-key sea shanties... and a friend. "I think I'd like that, Buzz. You're not too bad yourself."
She slipped a claw into her vest pocket and pulled out one of her business cards. "Here. If you ever need somethin' delivered, give us a call." she held it out to him, her hand wavering in the air. "Friends get discounts." she added with a wink.
@nebula-gaster
"Meh, few years before I died." Buzz opened the third can of beer and slowly sipped it. "Y'know, you're fun, Spectra. Sweet 'n funny, and I'm sure you sing even better sober. Wouldn't mind meeting up with you again in the future. Hold on, lemme get your number..."
Pulling out his phone, he tapped away at it for a few minutes, then put it away as Spectra's phone pinged with a text. "There we go. Don't ask, you can guess how I found it." Buzz took another sip of beer as he chuckled before suddenly letting out a loud belch, which made him laugh even harder. He flopped backwards as he laughed, struggling to keep his can upright.

Spectra followed after Striker and stepped into the room. It was more of the same really. Same western aesthetic with more in the way of comfort than flare. Cozy, much like the rest of the saloon. She put her hands on her hips and nodded.
"Yep! I think this will do very nicely." She turned back to Striker, her mind whirring with ideas and business opportunities. "Don't suppose you'd have any deals for repeat customers? Or, business associates, rather? I meet a lot of people every day. It'd be easy to send 'em your way in exchange for a discount for me and my crew should we ever be in need of room and board."
@strikers-saloon
Striker reached down and went through a locked box and retrieved a key to a vacant room before he joined her on the other side of the desk. A smaller imp appeared nearby to take over his position while he was away from the bar.
"I can imagine both would be needed, some clients would require big packages, and a few houses are in hard-to-reach areas, down canyons or up on a bluff, so those wings would cut delivery time drastically." He'd lead her up the stairs and to the first room. The whole second floor had a railing overlooking the first floor, so the saloon was incredibly open, quite useful to spot trouble a mile away.
"The rooms are simple really, but I can bet you'd not need much more unless it's specialized." He'd open the door and step aside, permitting her to go in while he waited outside, speaking through the open door, he knew how dangerous he could seem to new people, so he did his best to give them comfort and peace of mind.
Inside the room, it was far from standard, with hardwood flooring, a nice queen-sized bed in the middle of the room with an ottoman at the end of it that doubled as a storage chest. The sheets have cowboy-print on them with the headboard against the wall having a carved motif of a lasso around the edges.
There was a desk facing the wall to the immediate left, with a door beside it leading into a private bathroom. Everything had either an obvious cowboy aesthetic to it or an accent, brand, or coloring that fit with the saloon theme.
A few shelves to the right and a coffee table with a couple of cozy chairs were the most that stood out, looking more like Lazyboy recliners than anything Western.
"We do our best, not the most perfect, but it's good for the price we charge."

"Oh! Oh wow! I had no idea." she says as she follows Moxie through the lobby, offering the hellhound behind the desk a little wave and a smile as she passes by. "I mean, I don't mean to be rude, but you don't really come off as the blood-thirsty type. More so the studious, well educated, managerial type." she says, gesturing at his attire with her good hand.
"Although... I suppose one might need those sort of qualities to do this kind of work professionally."
@immediatexmurderxprofessionals
Tumblr media
"I'm a mercenary, actually. Everyone here is, though one mains as receptionist most of the time."
Moxxie explains brightly, totally missing the unintentional diss from the demon in her thinking he was of a more administrative role.
"Just comes this way into the break room."
He walks into the main lobby and they pass the main desk, Loona barely raising her eyes from her magazine when she catches the sent of Spectra. Her brow goes up when she catches the hint of blood and Moxxie motions wordlessly that it was fine. The hound shrugs and goes back to the Magaine.

((so yeah, this is why I haven't been RPing all week. Desperately trying to get money to make rent and the adoptables seem to get more buyers than commissions do. ((If you're interested in buying this design, go to the DeviantArt link and send a note. If you don't have a DA account, feel free to DM me here. I'll be making more of these until the 1st. If I can get rent handled, then I'll be able to go back to replies. Sorry for the delay.
((If you're interested in a commission, here's my price sheet!

"ya know I'm lucifers mistake of a son"
@damian-morningstar
Spectra blinked at the fox-like demon and her brow furrowed.
"Okay... but, you know you don't have to call yourself that, right?" she asked, looking around and wondering where this child's parent or guardian was.

Spectra hummed as she listened to his story. Not every sinner was distraught and brooding over their death, but there weren't many who were so blaze` about it either. Buzz seemed so comfortable talking about the life he'd lived as well as the afterlife he had now. It was strange, in a good way, she supposed... but still strange.
Then again that might be the rum talking.
Speaking of which...
"Soooo... when did you find out you had an undying love of sea shanties?" she asked.
"Goddamn right I did. I've had a love of tech since I got an SNES for my fifth birthday. An interest in video games became an interest in computers, which became curiosity about hardware, then software, then how to make software work for me." Buzz tapped a small, pinprick-sized button on the rear segment of the Data Leech, and it came to life, crawling around his hand like an actual centipede.
"I got into hacking around middle school. By high school, I was a pro. After I graduated, nothing could stop me. I had some pretty close calls in life, but I never got caught. And since my 'work' laptop was rigged with a dead man's switch that wiped the hard drive without a password given every eight hours, now nobody will ever know what I did in life. Well, nobody up there, anyway."
The hornet chuckled as he played with the bug in his hands. "Y'know how Vox first found me? With my digital fingers trying to pry open access to his personal servers, not even six months after I'd died. Good thing he was more impressed with my skill than pissed at what I was doing. And hey, don't worry, I ain't lookin' to him for safety. Just a steady paycheck on top of all the accounts I scrape every day, as well as appreciation and use for my bugs."

Spectra's eyes widened a bit when she caught sight of the logo on the door. "You work for I.M.P. ?" she asked, glancing back at the imp. He was so small and his clothing choices seemed more like those of a desk worker than a hit-man.
"That's really cool. Are you like, a book keeper or a secretary or something?"
"Good to meet ya, Spectra."
Moxxie nods, smiling as he reaches out to return the hand shake. And with that he led the way into the building and up the stairs to the floor I.M.P was on.
"We keep a first aid kit in the break room, so I'll patch you up nice and quick!"

Spectra stared at the metallic bug, setting her rum bottle aside absently. "You made that?" she asked, tapping at it with a claw. "That's really, really impressive. You must be, like, really smart then, huh?" she paused, her thoughts taking a moment to catch up with her intent. "Well, you did say... I guess that makes sense then. You'd have to be pretty smart, especially if Vox wanted you."
A frown pulled at her lips as she considered that. "Be careful with him. He is not a safe person to be around. None of the overlords in Pride are."
Gently landing back down, Buzz tapped his beer can against Spectra's bottle. "Everything goes well for me down here. I'm a fuckin' tech god!" He guzzled the rest of the can and crushed it, setting it down and picking up the third can. "Being Vox's greatest hacker means a pretty fuckin' generous paycheck, and that's on top of all the accounts I'm scraping for cash. But y'know, software ain't my only domain."
From the pocket of his shorts, Buzz pulled out what appeared to be a small metallic centipede with a dozen legs and a USB connector for a head. "Finalized this about a week ago, haven't really gotten a chance to test it in the field yet. The Data Leech 3.5! My first espionage bug, oldest design was just a USB stick with legs, but recently I thought, 'I can make this better'. So I did!"

Spectra checked her phone, noting the time and the lack of notifications, as well as making sure she had decent service out here. She didn't get any bad vibes from this guy, but it was still Hell. You couldn't be too careful. She shrugged and slipped her phone back into her pocket.
"Probably gonna be a 'no' on the nap for now, but I would still like to see the rooms." she said. "One of my employees is a hellhound who handles all the heavy and bulky shipments in his truck. Being able to recommend a safe place for him to rest between jobs would be really nice." She slid off of the barstool and looked up at Striker, waiting for him to lead the way. "If the suggested clientele you mentioned mostly has packages on the larger side, he's the one you'd be seeing the most of. I can only manage about twenty pounds before my wings give out, which is kind of the whole selling point on my end of things."
One thing that Striker loved was talking about his own business, the Saloon, something he'd started from the ground up, but something else he also loved was to listen to someone else's passion, especially about their business and what they enjoyed about it.
"Would say packages take their time down here too, though a bit more reliable than the other rings. Still, priority mail does sound interesting, and I'm happy to hear someone's taking charge of making things move faster around these parts." He grinned at her, looking at the jacket and nodding.
"We have parcel business, but they don't go too often, and I know plenty of folks in these parts that'd love to have their supplies shipped out quickly. If you ever go for bulk shippin' or need any tips for clientele, just come to me, I know this place like the back of my hand, and I know every farm around these parts!"
No joke nor lie, Striker loved to help people get their business going, and even hers that was already off-running, he wouldn't mind being a part that made things go just that little bit better. "Now, speakin' of business, would ya love to see one of the rooms? Maybe you can still take a nap if you're not needed elsewhere, and if so, at least check out the bed so you know to choose my place for good quality rest when you're around these parts."
Striker, the salesman through and through.
