I was going to like, complain about this spinor notation in this textbook, but I went to my PDF copy and it turns out it's REVERSED IN THE DIGITAL COPY? so it's not an issue anymore (in the digital copy), but I'm also like ????? so did you realize that your notation was weird, or did you just like... were you too tired to fix it or smth?

I've been working on the development of one of my university's online labs with one of our PER professors because it's something that interests me, and my QFT professor (he also teaches the algebra-based & education courses) taught in a prep high school in NYC for like, a decade, so he's got some ~~experience~~

and seeing the way QFT professor engages with those classes and with PER research is so funny to me, because he's like "well... yea... this is obvious but also bad..."

I spent like an hour watching him talk about how electrons have to fit into their homes for describing charge behavior to algebra-based 2 students, and I kept thinking abt my friend's teacher who said "never personify anything it will lead to false assumptions" but like... there's depth to every opinion, and I feel like in some sense one of the problems I've perceived with PER is that it feels like the people don't bring some amount of... life and persona to it?

But also the undergrad who's bonkers abt PER here would prefer a class taught by the 85 year old professor who had a built in 20 point curve and the exams were hard not because the questions were hard (mostly just out of Griffiths E&M 4th) but because it was a 2 hour exam to be taken in 2 hours with just the cover of the book for equations to the QM class by the QFT professor who does multiple different things documentably proven to benefit student comprehension because he can't engage with the PER-acknowledged techniques in the correct way, so like I'm giggling a little
