Postponing Online Obsession

Happy New Year, everyone! Unfortunately, my initial plans of releasing Online Obsession during Christmas holidays didn't come true due to several reasons. I was really sick and I'm currently scheduled to have a surgery in the coming days. On top of this, I'm still a student and this period is very crucial to my studies, which has also contributed to this decision. Since I'm the only person working on the game, I can't really rely on anyone else.

However, the development of the game has been steady so far and it's in its final stages of production. I will most likely have the third beta wave for the third - and final - build whenever I finish it, so if you're interested in taking a part, you might still have a chance to do so. I will also take this opportunity to rework some of the old art in the game. The game is now scheduled for Q1 of 2024.

I appreciate all the support and love this project has gotten so far and I can't wait to show you more. ❤️

Been sitting on this one for a little while, but here's some pixel art of Adisorn from Online Obsession by @sourmiiiilk and it's one of my favorites I've made so far.

Not going into context for this scene, since you guys will have to wait for the game release, but I thought this bit was especially cute. Tried some new things in this one, like dithering for the transparent parts of the UI, and I think it came out cute. The snow was a bit irritating to deal with, but I'm glad I added that in.

I also still have commission slots open over on Ko-Fi, if anyone would like something a bit more limited in animation. An early bird slot is still available.

Hi there, I'm happy to announce that the beta will be getting its second official build soon which brings the game closer to its release. However, the existing beta testers pool is too small for the amount of content being added to the game, which is why I'm announcing the second wave of beta test applications.

As a beta tester you:

Will be joining a group of around 15 already existing beta testers

Will get to playtest the second build and builds published after it

Will get free game keys for Steam and Itch upon the game's official release

Will have your name in credits of the game as a beta tester

The application process will last for around a week. I will be accepting a very limited group of beta testers but everyone has a chance, so feel free to apply!

I had made a sketch based on the MC meeting Adisorn in Online Obsession by @sourmiiiilk and had the ill-advised idea of painting it straight up. I decided to use some water soluble crayons for the underpinning and I feel like maybe that was a bit too dark to start off on.

Even if I'm not entirely happy with it, I decided it would be a waste not to post it. It's my first piece of fanart of Adi, even if I did make some mistakes on it when painting and trying to re-ink some spots. Besides, it's an example that experience is always good. I feel like I've learned more from it.

It's going to be so much fun to see other people play it in the future, since I'm one of the beta testers (I actually had the sketch itself around some time before the announcement, though now we're free to post non-spoiler fanworks; granted, I just inked and painted over it today).

I'm so excited about Online Obsession's announcements, so Adisorn gets a themed nail look AND a playlist.

The nail polishes are Cirque Colors Lucky Jelly (that color has had so much mileage lately) layered with a white speckle polish from Cirque Colors called Snow Angel.

The game will be available on steam and itch.io and I hope people will look forward to it. @sourmiiiilk has been working hard on it.
