i want to tell something to people who make art.

i, too, am stupid, weak, foolish, and capricious. i, too, am full of fear, fear about what'll happen tomorrow, fear about things working out, fear about people figuring out who the "real me" is and shunning me once they've found out who i "really am..." but that's bullshit

be you. be the most you that's possible. be so you that you won't be mistaken for anything else.

keep being you. keep thinking about what you want to accomplish. keep thinking about what you want to bring into the world and what you want to exist. keep showing your humanity. ultimately you will bring your best craft into the world by being honest with yourself and what you really care about.

some people won't like you; some people will hate your guts because what you communicated through their art frightened them!!! (good job, by the way, you've challenged their perspective on life and therefore said something meaningful!)

but, much more importantly, some people will love what you make, and that love will matter to them, and that love will inspire them, and that's the most beautiful feeling of all - that you showed someone that what they care about matters and is real and is meaningful
