Here's a practice drawing (yet to be fleshed out) of Songstar paying a visit to that great Clan in the sky. She's not dead, though - in fact, she's receiving her nine lives. It's not a pleasant process, as seen during the original, greener version of this piece, but she was willing to undergo the mystical transformation for the sake of her clan.

This fiery she-cat is Scorchface of BuntingClan, one of the few cats brave enough to stand up to Snowstar. As his own intractable nature clashes with hers, he tends to find her something of a nuisance. Still, even Snowstar secretly admires her sharp wit and determination. Wherever she came from, it definitely wasn't a Twoleg den.

Here's a KestrelClan cat with unusual ears. This is Crescentmoon (he/they), who serves under Burnetstar as a young warrior. He came to the camp shortly after Songstar met Burnetstar and soon proved himself to have potential. His smaller stature and striped pelt allow him to lay low in situations where it's necessary, something Burnetstar fully intends to use to the clan's advantage. Due to the strange shape of his ears, Crescentmoon insists on keeping them fastidiously clean to avoid infection, often via several trips to the medicine den.

One of the most common plants found near the woodland clans' territories is Aster. As such, there soon came a long-legged young warrior by the name of Asterfoot. The mysterious visitor made his entrance into our story when he was involved in an altercation with Wolfshade.

Upon being defeated (quite a feat considering his strength), Wolfshade conceded, offering Asterfoot a chance to use his skills in the service of PewterClan. While Songstar was initially reluctant to allow in a lone cat that had savaged her senior warrior, she was swayed by a vote of confidence from Wolfshade himself. Asterfoot took his place as a young warrior soon after, providing PewterClan with a fresh perspective.

Asterfoot is undoubtedly one of the loftiest clan cats, outsized only by Servalpelt himself. However, he's not much in the way of running, finding it more prudent to stand and fight. This "bravery" has made him popular with his clanmates, and he is particularly admired by the apprentices.

Here's Basie again, this time in full-body form. She chose not to change her name for personal reasons but doesn't mind being called Basiepaw. In a clan largely inhabited by kittypets, names aren't always of the same importance as an established wild one. As such, the suffixes are often omitted entirely - except Songstar's, that is.

I've done yet another refsheet, this time of Wolfshade. I did the bust earlier representing his current age, but made the full-body version significantly younger for comparison. This wasn't a particularly challenging piece, so it allowed me to experiment with spots and stripes.

🐺Wolfshade🐺

Despite the number of former kittypets, PewterClan is not a homogenous society. Clan cats have existed outside Twoleg territory for generations, but only now that the Twolegs are gone do the lines between them blur. One of the cats most eager to leave his forest home is Wolfshade.

Wolfshade's name requires no particular skill to interpret - he was born beneath the shade of an abandoned wolf's den. The woodland clan he inhabited welcomed the boisterous kit with open paws, and he became something of a clan celebrity as he grew older and proved his loyalty.

From his birth to a certain point, Wolfshade seemed to have it made. He was surrounded by friends, was consistently fed, and had experienced very little hardship. However, the reason for his leaving the clan came from within himself. Before he knew what he was doing, Wolfshade had fallen head over paws for the medicine cat. The feeling was mutual, which made it better and worse at the same time.

Once the leader took notice, however, the relationship was nipped in the bud. Wolfshade set out on his own - not banished, but of his own accord. He was aware that his feelings were too strong to deny, and dragged his heavy heart into the abandoned city to avoid any further heartbreak.

Wolfshade will never mention any of what you've just read. He has the bad habit of bottling up his emotions, making him more and more curmudgeonly as he ages. However, his performance has never slipped. He believes in doing one's duty to the utmost, prompting others (including Songstar) to label him a "cleanpaw".

🪶Burnetstar🪶

This nervous-looking Oriental mix is Burnetstar (pronounced burn it), the jittery leader from my fanclan universe. Although she doesn't like it much, she currently leads KestrelClan (and has eyebrows that look suspiciously like kestrel feathers). Her leader's mark is undeveloped but is recognizable as four small fuzzy blobs of some sort.

Burnetstar is on relatively good terms with Songstar (the one from earlier) despite their closely-guarded borders. They seem to have come to a mutual understanding regarding boundaries, which is more than the other two leaders can say. As PewterClan expands, the two clans take care not to encroach upon each other.

🐝Honeytail Redraw🐝

I drew a bust of PewterClan's new medicine cat, Honeytail, and was not at all proud of it.

As such, I found it within myself to change it into something I can stand to look at.

Honeytail is a younger she-cat with a nurturing approach to medicine. She is known and respected for her good nature and focused mind, as well as the beehive-shaped mark adorning her forehead. (As it turns out, medicine cats also get marks from StarClan in my universe, to signify that they are both worthy of the post and 100 percent StarClan approved).

Honeytail enjoys catching up with her patients while she's treating them, as the amount of work she's been doing guarantees she rarely leaves the medicine den. She gets more clan gossip from this habit than Songstar herself - what she does with all this knowledge nobody quite knows.
