So many people try to make the awareness and compassion for men's issues as something more should do, because it also affects minority men, ignoring how much some minority women also really hate men. Making every issue, like the erasure of male victims a "white women vs. men," viewpoint is not as progressive as most believe. Call out all women who hate men and men's issues, and don't ignore some.

https://www.tumblr.com/sometimes-men-need-help-too/749048349382033408/you-dont-have-to-shame-someones-body-or?source=share thanks for this post. Something I see on plenty of male body positivity posts, for example, is someone saying "this is what makes men hot!" as opposed to focusing on uplifting men with body image issues.
Right, it's counterproductive

You don't have to shame someone's body or otherwise speak negatively of another body type to lift someone else up
You wanna lift up plus size individuals? Great! But you don't have to put skinny people down to show support
The same goes for other examples as well
When you do that, it doesn't tell the world that you're all for body positivity, it shows that you're a hypocrite

If you have a rebuttal to someone's argument, then there's no need to name call or throw around accusing words
Because when you do that, that insinuates that you don't have one
If you do have one, then there's no need for all that
Having a mature conversation, even when you disagree, takes you a lot further

Hi all! I stumbled upon a website pertaining to sexual abuse and assault of men/boys. Here is their page of some books/films they recommend. Trigger warning for sexual abuse.

It's okay to feel disappointment
It's true that there's nothing to be ashamed of if you take longer than other people to graduate college, or wait until you're older to get married or have kids. It's true that it's okay you're not seeing anyone or you didn't get the job you wanted
But it's also okay to take a moment and feel disappointment if things haven't gone the way you thought they would

I don't understand people that mock others for not wanting to go to therapy
Like when a man is unsure about it or whatever, and then you see people making fun of him for his masculinity being "fragile"
It's just interesting that they'll look at an individual as needing help, believing they should get it and then....mocking them?
Do you really think that's going to somehow make them try therapy?
Because it won't

If you claim to care about mental health and wanting other people to care about their mental health too, then maybe don't say "get therapy" or "seek help" as an insult

You're no less desirable and loveable because of it
