David Saw 0.5 and Amanda are so interesting to me. Like, is this character textually trans? No, they’re two different characters. Except they’re the same character. Cuz Leigh, the writer, specifically wrote the character as a woman. And then played that character himself. But when he played that character, the character wasn’t canon and was David who is a man. And when the canon version of that character was preformed by Shawnee, the character was Amanda who is a woman. Except they didn’t get all the shots they needed the first time, so they reshot it with Leigh playing the character. So in summary, when the character is played by Shawnee it’s Amanda and is canon, and when the character is played by Leigh it’s David and isn’t canon, except for some shots where the character is played by Leigh and is Amanda and is canon. Oh and they both undergo the same ordeal that completely changes who they are as people. Hope this helps :)

Saw sitcom episode pitch: after an argument, the gang agrees to switch jobs for the day. Hoffman takes over Adam’s role of stalking potential victims, but his inability to be subtle causes issues. Amanda, tasked with surgically implanting nail bombs into a man’s face, panics and calls her ex-girlfriend Lynn for help. Adam and Lawrence spend the day designing traps together, but quickly begin to argue over medical feasibility. John makes an enemy while waiting in line for the midnight release of “the sims 2” (this is unrelated to any other event in the episode, somehow ends up taking the full 24 hours, and causes him to miss all of the previously mentioned hijinks)
