Some Amphibia fanart; Marcy and General Yunan resting while passing by some mysterious ruins.
The King has ordered them not to enter such places, but that hasn't stopped Marcy from conducting a little comparative botany (and flower crown crafting!).

Star caste
The star caste are the tau’s answer to the space marines. They are a caste of genetic hybrids made by artificially splicing the castes of the empire creating a new race of tau bred for war.
Unlike the space marines who have to be taken at a young age, the star caste are all vat grown clones of a handful of genetic templates specialized for different tasks. They are “born” fully grown tho lack sentience, only gaining consciousness once all cybernetic surgeries are complete. (This is to minimize risk of the very invasive surgeries causing neurological damage)
They are vat grown bodies who are implanted with neural copies of those that came before them giving them the strengths, knowledge, and experiences stored on the neural copy.
Each star caste over their lifespan alters and modifies this template with their own experiences and talents. This means while all having the same baseline neural copy, each one gains their own personality and identity.
Alongside several other cybernetic enhancements, the star caste are also implanted with a black box of sorts placed at the centre of the brain that activates at the moment of death. It then sends the neural copy back to the cloning base to be implanted into a new clone.
In combat they act as shock troops attacking in squads of 8, overwhelming the enemy with enough firepower to obliterate bunkers. Their arsenal is made up of reverse engineered astartes weapons enhanced and improved with tau technology. Star castes are similar to their fire caste cousins split into septs, with each major colony world housing a star caste sept.
There is so much effort in this omg. Amazing job :3
An Important Decision
Let's see...
Alright, that should be it, unless they gave me the wrong default password.
Alright. Now I just wait for it to- ah! There we go.
...This is pretty ugly. I'll need to change the background and move this stuff around. Plus make a notes folder and a folder for archived messages, and... Well, this is going to be a bit of a project. I'll have to set aside some time to work on this later. For now, I need to-
Doctor Emily, I know we haven't seen eye to eye on the inclusion of 'sensitive information' in the publically available archive, but we need to settle this. The launch date is drawing closer, and we still haven't decided which entries are appropriate for public viewing. I'm willing to compromise if you are.
I hope that being on-site on Platina has given you a new perspective on things and that you can at least understand where I'm coming from. We could disclose certain things with minimal risk, I'm sure you'd agree, and that seems like a fair compromise to me.
Either way, we really need to decide how much we're willing to tell people about ISIAL's discoveries on Platina before we're caught flat-footed on the archive's launch day.
Please reply ASAP, and thank you for your cooperation.
Thank you,

As if he's the one holding the cards here. I've been putting this off, but I think I've made my decision. The only reasonable course of action is to-
...And there, reply sent. That's one less thing on my plate. Now, about that desktop wallpaper...
