Parts of Dunkirk that are kinda “smallish” that need to be appreciated.

Gibson opening that door when he could have just left!! even though he may be a coward in some people’s eyes, the French man saved some soldier’s lives with that action.

Peter basically being hit with the grow-up stick. In the beginning he was a teenager, always listening to Mr. Dawson (his father) but in the end when Peter told Shivering Soldier that George would be okay *cries* that was incredibly mature of Peter to do. Peter knew if he told Shivering Soldier the truth, than the soldier wouldn’t be able to live with himself after what he’d done.

George!! All the poor boy wanted was recognition and to be accepted by his elders. In the end, he got his spot in the local news.

Farrier continuing to fight the Luftwaffe even after he knew he would run out of fuel. Poor guy ended up being a pow in the end.

Commander Bolton staying behind for the French. Such a brave and gallant action.
