Maybe before Narinder's betrayal, she was known to have a beautiful singing voice that was known to grant blessing throughout Anura. Her followers and her siblings loved her voice and she was very proud of her singing.
....Then Narindar happened. I'd like to think that while the damage to her throat was great, she would use her crown to fix her voice so she could sing.
When she becomes a follower, she loses her crown thus her ability to sing all together. Maybe one day Lamb witnesses her trying to sing only to choke and hack before lashing out violently.
I dunno man, I enjoy pain in this fandom, can you tell?
So, I'm already madly in love with your cult of the lamb designs/headcanons! I wanted to ask a question or two about your take on Shamura if you don't mind? For one, I noticed in the doodle you did for them, the second pose looks like they were descending? Does that happen often, or did lamb figure out a way to keep them more grounded? Also do they always have that blank expression? Or is there away to make them smile, cry etc? Love what you got goin' on!!
tysm!! I'm glad you enjoyed my designs and hcs as much as I like going on about them😭
And for Shamura, and about this pic you brought up, a small hc I have about them when drawing them (and the other bishops) is that their injuries can get really bad when under extreme distress, whether it be emotional or physical. For Shamuras case, they rarely experience such intense emotions and try to remain level headed for their siblings and the lambs sake. But on the rare occasions (which makes it more terrifying to some) they do end up getting overwhelmed/extremely stressed (sometimes from recalling certain events) and isolate themselves in their tent for a while before one of their siblings or the lamb comes to check in them. During this time, Shamura is pretty stubborn and refuses to do anything anyone says and remains silent for the time being , opting to stay in one area to try dealing with it themselves rather than get anyone else involved.
Shamura tries to assure the others that they can handle it on their own, and prefers such, but their siblings know that Shamura’s gonna have difficulty doing anything with ichor dripping everywhere and head splitting headaches for the next few hours. So the other bishops (usually Heket) take care of their injury and try to calm them down by keeping them company for the rest of the day. Once they’re better, Shamura apologies to any follower they believe caused distress to before returning to their duties.
When it comes to shamuras emotions, they’re pretty much aloof to most situations, and have a pretty good poker face when it comes to any conversation. Most of the time they reciting mantras in their head to as a way to keep themselves focused or to make sure they’re not forgetting anything which is why they look so serious 24/7. But sometimes this backfires and they end up getting too lost in thought (and if it gets really bad they end up stressing themselves out again), it doesn’t happen often though, so it’s never too much of an issue for some.
Shamura unintentionally scares off others with their cold expressions (it’s just their default look) and tries to show more emotion, yet when they do, it ends up being a slight eyebrow raise or a simple head tilt. On the very few and rare occasions, they do end up cracking up a genuine smile. It’s just a shame that very few get to see it.
KILLING and RIPPING and BITING and STABBING and CURSING and HURTING and BLUDGEONING and MAIMING and DISMEMBERING and CHOPPING and BREAKING and PILLAGING and TEARING and RAVAGING and TORTURING and PROSELYTIZING and PUMMELING
-Very very tired and overworked, they very much need a break
-their siblings have offered to give them time to rest but Shamura always turns it down. They feel like they have to be working at all times or it causes them intense anxiety
-before Narinder betrayed them they where very active in the cult activities, they tended to organize everything and have the finally yes or no verdict to ideas
-after their skull was shattered they could barely comprehend much at once and heket had to take over. If unsupervised they would wander for hours muttering to themselves.
-sometimes when they are very lost or confused from their brain damage they’ll forget about narinder’s betrayal
-it might be as small as putting out five plates instead of 4 or as dire as going out searching for their brother and calling his name.
-I imagine there was one time the Shamura even went missing for awhile because they where looking for narinder
I have a big head canon that Shamura has a secret Library located within a deep cavern of the temple, containing all of their collected knowledge over the eons.
Handwritten, detailed accounts of medicine, flora, fungi, species that lived amongst the realms. As well as maps of the land, and tomes of gods long gone... amongst much more.
When Shamura died, the charms protecting the novels was released, causing them to decay...
Thank you so much @rideghost24 for the wonderful artwork, and welcome back!
