A platform comprising of 200 influencers taking part in an unprecedented campaign for social change. A campaign where 100 millennials and 100 midlife influencers partner together to bridge the artificial gap and prove that ” We are stronger together! “
Thanks to the campaign, I got to meet Yvonne.
A kiwi beauty based in Zurich. A dynamic personality full of energy and who is a strong believer just like me that chocolate can cure everything. 😛
She says Fashion has always been a huge passion for her and that she wanted to give the women over 40 a voice – so that it is clear that they remain youthful as long as they choose to and hence she created Funky Forty.
” Age is no barrier to having fun in life and remaining on top with Fashion trends.”
I really wanted to know from her What is the one thing she likes the most about blogging?
To which she adds:’ One surprising fact is the real contact one has with others through blogging. I have made some very wonderful real friendships in the process.

The other lovely thing is to have a real excuse to go to Fashion Weeks. So far Paris and Milan each season!’
Amazing friends and fashion weeks are some amazing benefits is all I can say.
Last but not the least a final thing which I had to had to ask which is her take on the difference between millennial and women over 40?
Yvonne said:
This is a difficult question. I think being a millennial it’s much easier to stay on top of trends because all your friends are too. As you get older many people start being set with their own personal style. I feel the new generation is a lot less material than we are. The mindset is very different – more towards having a fulfilled life. Women over 40 have experienced a lot however, by now we understand ourselves. To grow older consciously is a very beautiful thing. TO do it together with the influences of the younger generations even more beautiful.
Before I end this post, I really wanted to thank everyone who created this campaign and because of which I got to meet a fun loving full of energy and a wonderful soul like Yvonne. Thank you so much for this wonderful journey.

Hi everyone,
Today on the blog I am gonna talk about a gorgeous cocktail dress from yet again StyleWe. If you have followed my last post by now you would know I am a huge fan of StyleWe. They have some amazing collection and if you want to have a glimpse of my last post, I have linked one here.
Elegant and stylish, evening cocktail dresses have become a staple of the modern woman’s wardrobe. There has always been a debate about the perfect length, color or design, but typically, these are the dresses that work for formal, semi-formal or even informal occasions.
This particular piece is a floral embroidered two piece dress. The sheer material with embroidery work all over it shows the right amount of skin and is effortlessly chic. It fits like a glove and flatters almost every body type. I absolutely love the pleat detail at the bottom, which creates drama to one’s walk.
One can team it with a pop of colour to add the right amount of edge to this look for a fun outing or just keep it elegant by teaming it with the perfect pair of silver or grey for a romantic date night.
I wanted the dress to stand out so teamed it with my glittered MK classic heels and added some statement pieces from lovisa.

I hope all of you had a great weekend. Today on the blog, I’m sharing an embroidered dress I recently got from StyleWe.
StyleWe is an online fashion shopping platform featuring independent fashion designers. They have endless options starting from clothing to shoes to bags and jewellery. When StyleWe contacted me for this collaboration, I was super excited about it and chose this embroidered midi dress.
Embroidery is the thing now, a trend which is here to stay, be it dresses or tops it is everywhere.
This particular piece is a midi dress with embroidery work all over it. I personally love midi dresses since they are so versatile. They can be worn on a day out with the girls or even for a date night.
It’s all in the DETAILS!
Not only do I love the embroidery on it, but the material is great too. It fits as per the size and the cut is super flattering.
It is chic and keeps your look always on point.
Due to the heavy embroidery work, I kept the accessories minimum. I styled it with some neutral pieces and a cute belt.
Spring ready!

Hi Everyone,
As the name suggests, today on the blog I am gonna talk about “Vivid Sydney”.
What is Vivid Sydney??
It is an annual winter outdoor festival with light installations, musical events by local and international artists & ideas conferences. Starting somewhere in mid-May and lasts for about three weeks.
What to do??
There is a lot to do and see during this time period. One can kick start with cruise trips to get a glimpse of how the city looks from the water or stroll through the locations with the help of Vivid apps.
This was my first time at “Vivid Sydney” and surely it did not disappoint me at all. Sharing few of my favourites here.
Starting off with the famous Opera house. During this time the magnificent Opera house sails come to life, they turn into an artist’s canvas. One can keep gazing at this beauty from different angles and never get tired of it. It is an absolute treat to the eyes.

Next was the Museum of Contemporary Art.
This installation was termed as Organic vibrations. A rhythmic flow of organic artwork with vibrating sound, which made the facade of MCA appear as a dynamic entity.

Well, the next pic might ring a bell! 😀
I saw many couple pose and dance under these umbrellas or should I say “A glowing canopy”, which created a star like effect on a laneway.
Moving on from the Rocks to the Botanical garden.
This stretch had some interesting installations on display as well.
The majestic waratah is native to Australia and is the floral emblem of the state of New South Wales. To honour this extraordinary plant, the artists had created a huge inflatable light sculpture, sitting right next to the Opera house.
Blow as the name suggests, One had to blow on the dandelion seed and it showed us how the seeds dispersed by wind bringing life to new ones. This natural phenomenon was beautifully depicted by these light installations and was termed as
Spreading Life!
“Birds of Lumos” introduced us to ‘Rowi’ the kiwi and her baby chick; she wore sight-enhancing goggles. As visitors gathered around them, they would glow and pulsate different colours through their light-globe bodies.
The Harbour Bridge
EORA – Bennelong honours one of Australia’s most mythologized and celebrated individuals from the days of the first contact: Woollarawarre Bennelong
This arresting art installation, projected onto the imposing southern pylon of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, was created by Bangarra Dance Theatre. They with their contemporary movement brought rare stories and historical portraits to life.
Freedom of Movement
Ford joined the Festival of innovation and creativity through an interactive light installation. Initially which looked like five illuminated giant swings with soothing music to sit and enjoy, later turned to a wonder of motion. I thoroughly enjoyed and kept gazing at it like the other kids around me. 😛
It was overwhelming to see it in motion.
Inspired by Henry Ford’s vision to “change the way the world moves” by fusing colour, light, sound and motion to showcase Ford’s ongoing commitment to ‘Go Further’ and inspire the future of mobility.

Tumbalong Lights
32 dazzling beams of light which created patterns on the night sky. Gazing into the sky as I walked between the parallel rows of suspended lights, I saw dazzling beams of light interacting with one another uninterrupted into space.
Last but not the least was the
Magicians of Mist at Darling Harbour.
It was a sight to watch. The combination of fantastical fountains, flame jets, lasers, music, fireworks and walls of water showed the power of creativity and innovation in this spectacular projection.
What better way to end this epic festival of light, music and ideas than fireworks!!
In short, I would say Vivid is a visual treat and one should definitely see it once in a lifetime.Hope you enjoyed reading this post.
