I have to know if Sally knew Poseidon was Poseidon right from the get-go or if he told her later. And how she felt when he told her that technically he made a pact with Zeus and Hades not to have any more kids, and if that happened before Sally got pregnant, or after, or when she told him she was pregnant. And then how did she feel that literally two of the most powerful gods in the universe wanted her child to literally die, and how Sally probably lived in fear not of the monsters, but of Zeus (because, lets be real, it would be more Zeus than Hades) coming to take Percy away, or worse, because he was a forbidden child. Sally did everything to protect Percy from monsters, but she was powerless really if Zeus decided to do something. She can disguise Percy's demigod scent from monsters, she can keep moving him around when something happens, but when the big Z decides Percy is more trouble than he's worth, what could she really do? A mortal against the all-powerful king of the Gods? How did she feel when Poseidon told her all of that?

Like idk something about seeing Percabeth playing out on screen has me thinking about how oblivious I was as a kid 😭 Because I distinctly recall 14 y/o me only really thinking 'hm, I think maybe they like each other' when I read Titan's Curse, and then when Annabeth kissed Percy in Battle of the Labyrinth, 14 y/o me was absolutely shook just like Percy. But seeing them on screen??? Walker and Leah have so much chemistry, and the looks Walker keeps giving??? His eyes are so expressive. It's like Percy is already in love istg. They're perfect. They're going to give us the slow burn of the century.

I do find TV Athena interesting because how I perceived Athena in the books was not how I'm perceiving her in the TV show. Like, I read the books when I was 14, and I honestly got the impression that Athena did expect a lot of Annabeth, as she does in the show, but she also seemed to care about her a lot. Like, I'm pretty sure Athena helped and guided Annabeth when she ran away from home at 7 until she was found by Thalia and Co, plus she was given her cap as a gift from Athena, and Athena also warns Percy that she doesn't approve of his friendship with her daughter. In the books, I just thought this was an overprotective mom. Now, if TV Athena says that line, it reads more to me as though Annabeth being friends with Percy somehow lowers Annabeth's status, embarrasses Athena, and wounds her pride. Athena is very prideful in mythology, and she has a habit of abandoning her loved heroes when they need her the most (Odysseus) when they disappoint her, like how she abandoned Annabeth at the arch, so she's a lot more true to her mythology in the show. I'm interested to see how Annabeth and Athena's relationship will be shown in later episodes. She's the pride of Athena's offspring, yet Athena pretty much left her to die... it seems she lacks care for her daughter in the show... Very interesting!

I like how Rick said that Percy was originally supposed to be the son of Zeus but he thought he'd be too powerful, and he wanted an underdog kind of hero, so he chose Poseidon, and yet I would argue that Percy is one of the most powerful of the big three kids, if not actually the most OP of them. Like, him in Tartarus was actually terrifying. Nico is a close second, though.

Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades knew fine well they weren't gonna stick to their pact of not having anymore demigod kids. Especially Zeus and Poseidon. No where in Greek mythology has Zeus been able to keep it in his pants, I'm actually impressed he only had Thalia (only counting the Greek kids)
