Two years ago today I was working on this illustration. It was the beginning of all of the pen and ink pieces that I am now creating. I remember how unsure I felt, but also the excitement and satisfaction of creating something new with a goal in mind. I love when a piece comes together different than anticipated and even better. It's like the art has a mind of it's own as it grows out of my subconscious. At this point I have the impulse to to print this on hot pressed watercolor paper with my #CanonPro and then start using embroidery stitches to embellish. Hm...
