I hope you like presents Modmad because golly gee you're getting one!

Here's something I whipped up today. RGB from Modmad's comic, The Property of Hate (which you should read right now). I rigged it up and everything too. It made posing the antennae so much easier. Although I might redo the mouth rig, it's a bit bumbly. I'll see if I can get some looping animation done.

I'm probably going to have to go and make the rest of him sometime down the track. Hollow, double-sided cloth be darned. I wonder if the hat slowly rotates because it's not fixed to anything... Bah! Details.

A look at which companies have issued a security patch to fix the Heartbleed bug.

Hey friends, I know this might seem like a huge pain in the ass, but you gotta change your passwords. This is one of the biggest internet security flaws in history and your personal data including your credit card info could be compromised. I had to change my Tumblr password TWICE today because of suspicious activity. This isn’t a joke. Before changing your passwords makes sure to check the above linked list on Mashable and make sure that the flaw has been patched on that specific sites AND THEN change your password. Also, if you have Gmail or are using Gmail for business, it’s a good idea to set up 2-step verification just to be extra safe.

Here we go again.

It’s been a while but I did say that I’d start Tony one day. That day just so happens to be the past 3 days actually haha. Again, this is FOR YOU Aishaneko! (ﾉﾟ▽ﾟ)ﾉ *:・ﾟ✧

I just….. those designs.… I’m still swooning from months ago. I hope you’re happy! But enough flailing about on my end. It’s TIME to break this guy down.

I used Maya to do most of the modelling (body, clothes etc.) but for the organic shapes I sculpted them in ZBrush and then brought them down to a reasonable poly count. UV’d everything, then chucked it through Mudbox and Photoshop for texturing. And for the hair (hooley dooley the hair) I bought the GMH2 script by Thundercloud Studios to speed up the process. I would have been a raving madman by the time I finished the hair the old fashioned way. If you want some great looking (and fully active) hair and you’re using Maya then I highly endorse it. $40 is a bit steep but totes worth the end result.

The sword is was a design by the lovely Modmad, who you should follow and read her comic The Property of Hate. Which is the most delectable, psychoanalytic nightmare fuel this side of the tracks. Also available for reading in Spanish, Polish, Chinese and Dragon.

New Schedule

It looks like life stuff has reared its head again and as such I've adopted a new schedule. From Monday to Wednesday, I'll be writing up CV's and such and looking for work. From Thursday (or Wednesday night) till Sunday, I'll be making art.

But this is a good thing! It means I'm less worried that I should be doing this instead of that and I'm overall far less stressed. But in the immediate future it means I won't be working on Tony until at least Wednesday night. Over the weekend i'll be making something TPoH related.

I did say quite a while back that I'd be doing Tony as well as Paige. I'll probably have Tony all done by Monday at the latest. Also, I hope you've got a hobby store near you because it's International Tabletop Day on the 5th of April and I'm super hyped!
