I haven't posted in forever but I'm really proud of this project so far 😁

I may continue to procrastinate but this will be an awesome upgrade to my Solas cosplay. Which i also now realize I've never... Posted...the finished project there... I'll have to fix that but at this rate there will be upgrades to come!

So a bit back i started on a cosplay that I'd been quite excited to finish, but the pandemic took a major hit on my motivation as depression made herself known again.

The cosplay is Solas from Dragon age Inquisition.

Just a few more pieces to finish but I'm hoping my motivation isn't just playing peekaboo right now. Then i can work on more than one thing!

So...... I got some updates!

Just the sunset.. And upon completion of it to this point i realized i don't actually know where the sun is coming from....

So the piece will officially be abstract i suppose xD

I am loving my colors so far and i hope the whimsicalness I'm trying to pull from in thr game come thru.

Next will be the trees in the mid-ground and getting a start on the people.... At least only 3 of them are from video games themselves

New project!

I am creating a series of lewd costumes. Based on characters from the very long and much enjoyed Assassins Creed series. They will be used in a future photo shoot that is being planned.

Starting off with Altair.

The first sketch is..... Rough. I like it but I'm not 100% sold. But plenty of time to design before i consider fabrics.

Please excuse my sloppy handwriting...

But I'm liking the start of this and probably will not be working on them in order. Might even do some templars if the vibe strikes me to do so.

Found another lost WIP lol

But this time i remembered i shared updates with my sister spawn!

The start of the underdrawing! Hopefully obvious as to what this one is. XD

The second one wont flip back to vertical.... Maybe I'll try and reenter the image later. But gotta get the trees in there somewhere.

Its turning out very brightly colored anf i think thats what put me off on working on it. So i think first step is gonna be to mute the background and the colors a bit so its a little closer to the Cullen card.

Completely forgot about this WIP....

I dont agree with how Lavellan is always represented as a halla. To attract a wolf, why would one be prey...? This was inspired by my own roleplaying experience and some short fanfics i wrote when i got inspired. I do not think i will be showing them here. I will happily point you to some awesome fanfic authors here on Tumblr. Most are still active in their posting!

My Lavellan's dress is probably going to be blue, or a teal cause her hair is a deep red...

Maybe something to work on soon.

Next segment!

So much happened in this last month that i forgot to update!

So here we go!

As always gotta start with math. Kinda. It helps. Mostly... I based the pattern here off of a couple festival tops i had made before. Tho i needed it to work with the leather i had available to me.

It took a couple times of drawing out the pattern before we got it right for her. You cant tell with the mask but she is grinning ear to ear!

First go was successful. And only a couple cosmetic things to fix. (She didnt like the red top stitching. So took it out)

Omgosh they were so stinking cute for their Halloween wedding! I wish them the best. And going thru those pictures still so I'll have a batter look at the dress on here asap!

So... During my whole panic living of a pandemic so far, my sibling sister spawn went and got engaged to a pretty chill dude and now requests i make her wedding dress and a vest for him... For their Halloween wedding...

I said yes, because why not and seeing her already super excited is awesome.

"And so our story begins..."

Super basic sketch of the idea. We were definitely not in crafting mindset as she had just sprung this on me before the sketch.

Went with a cream colored leather for the top and a cotton gauze for the under dress. There will be fall colored silks worn with this. Then a hood got requested for the top. (Like I'm gonna say no. Hoods are awesome. Especially when the leather smells wonderfully 🖤)

I havent done this much math for a skirt in a bit. (I am not sharing my equations page, its a mess... I was too stubborn to grab my phone.) In all my sewing experience I've never made a tribal/belly dancing skirt.... I thank and absolutely respect the people who make them regularly.

But the first sewing sesh got a lot done. Got a pile of skirt rings and a top nearly complete.

Just gotta finalize the plan for the top and be prepared to cut leather. Scissors need a slight sharpening i think.

Been very depressed lately this year hasnt helped. So heres the first batch of macarons i have made in forever. I loved the paw prints. Going to hopefully do more of them... Thought about the eeveelution paws. So that would be cute. But then what flavors???

Edit: after seeing the amount backlash, hate, and attacks other people received after announcing similar projects like this. I will not be completing this project. I am still in awe of the emotions i felt and might still draw the major arcana but i will not be doing a deck. Nor will i be selling them. Yes, my goal was to have all profits go back to organizations that Black Lives Matter supports as well as putting it into the surrounding community to help better others. But i know mentally i would not be able to deal with the lashing from the public. Wish you all the best on your endeavors and projects

I got that feeling with a collection of images that was put together by a page i follow on the book of face. The images were of the protests, everything since the 26th of May, communities coming together... They were labeled with the Major Arcana they were chosen to represent and i have never had a deck call out to me in such a way. My goal is to draw an entire deck based on, and inspired by these images and others i have since collected. I got their permission to use their images as inspiration, and while they publicly sourced the images, they suggested i contact the sources and get permission to use their images for such a project i have chosen to do.

The working title theme around this deck is "Protests For Peace"

I will be using this post to help me keep track of the cards as i finish them. But as a beginning tarot reader here, i definitely need to learn a bit more about the cards to be able to put in the right energy to them.

I made the squeakys.

Was trying to draw a pattern on first to make the stitch lines easier to follow, but I dont think I stuck to a single drawn one minus the first line on each of them...

Stage and filling! Every *squeak* movement *squeak* of my *squeak* hands makes it squish enough to *squeak*... Point made. Same thing when I went around with the top stitch

And now I have 9 orbs of destruction. These are gonna be fun in public :D

So I am working on a certain dread wolf cosplay for convergence 2020. Still thinking about what ribbons to do, but I got some time to order them still.

This post will get added to as I complete chunks, or steps. If anyone is interested in more details, you are welcome to send a pm or an ask.

And to begin... I look crap in bald caps so I'm going off one of his alternative art images as inspiration.

His outfit I am basing the most on his armor from the time you first meet him.

But first, obligatory material picture. And shameless painting share blast.

Yes. Those are squeaky toy inserts. I am making squeaky orbs of destruction to have on my person. (There is an idea of a ribbon related thing with these. I'll figure out the details.)

Messed up a cut, so had to redo a few. So happy I had purchased extra of this material... -sigh of relief-

Its nearly there. But omg, the bias was a pain... Probably gonna add some more detail (the actual stitching on the seams)
