I'm curious. So obviously we all love our f/os unconditionally but what's something about them that initially made you hesitate about shipping with them?

#i will admit for medic it was the Horrors #the Atrocities #and i gotta say i did have to tone it down a little in my canon just bc i don't do well w/ gore #but for the most part i realized it just comes with the package #man's gotta have a hobby lol #i hesitated w/ rama bc he was an antagonist but then i realized he was right #i hesitated w/ miles cuz of All The Subtext w/ wright

For those of you whose f/o is from a different era

Just picture the two of you:

Sitting in front of the fireplace during winter, when it's the only heat source in the house;

Riding a horse together, maybe they teach you how to ride or vice versa;

Not being able to phone or text each other and just being genuinely surprised to finally see them come home / seeing their eyes glimmer when they see you come home;

Sending letters and small messages to each other: choosing a fragrance to spray on the envelope, being able to see their handwriting, saving your best paper sheets & cutest envelopes for them, keeping all their letters into a precious box.

i am curious!!! for self shippers with f/os from previous time periods: how closely do you adhere to that time period when it comes to your ship with them? do you only put time accurate songs on your playlists, do you only imagine watching time accurate movies? do you make fake texts even if texting wasn't around? do you give them knowledge even if they wouldn’t have had it back then? i wanna know!!!

#i stay about as accurate as the source is to it #tf2 had video screens in the 60s and hero 108 had....a lot that ancient china didn't have yet lol #but i stick to the era as much as it's important #maybe a little moreso than the canon #been doing some research on the song dynasty for example
