About a week ago I was complaining that the MASH hungarian dub is less gay. Well, since I worked through about all of s2 by now, and they unfortunately only dubbed the first two seasons, I can say it's more complicated than that.

Because sometimes they tone down the queer innuendoes, which is expected from hungarians tbh, but sometimes they make it more gay??? I'm genuinely so confused.

They cut out Hawkeye's "Speak for yourself" line regarding having sex with male nurses but they let Trapper call Hawkeye "Mrs Trapper ", which was not the original line. (It was Miz Hawkeye) . Like. I have no idea.

Also kudos to Hawkeye's voice actor, he really put all the lust into the lines he got to keep about liking man. When he said about Trapper "Én is akkor szerettem bele" ("That's when I fell in love with him"), I thought he's gonna jump on him. That was not barely contained lust. The lust was not contained at all.
