Review #1- Breaking Bad
Tumblr media
Breaking bad took over my life in late 2013 (Yes I know I was late on the bandwagon) straight away the first episode had me hooked. The intense foreshadowing of Walt pointing a gun towards the unknown and then firing back to where it started.
From episode one it was clear to me that Breaking Bad was going to be one of those shows that I wasn’t going to just stop watching i knew it was going to be the series that kept me up till 4 in the morning and the the series that when I finally stopped watching to get some sleep, it would still keep me up because I was trying to figure out what the hell just happened in the previous episode.
Through out he whole series I loved the father son bond between Jesse and Walt, although it turned ugly near the end, through the rows and fights that them two both had there was nothing but love there which really made the show great.
I loved the transformation of characters , although we can all agree that we all hate skylar no matter what (she f*$ked Ted after all), but from family man Walter white to crazy ass Crystal meth cook Heisenberg, Drugged up Jesse with no future to someone who actually cares about people and shows emotion.
The final episode for me was, let’s just say a rocky road it emotionally packed with everything you expect a final episode of a series should have. From the machine gun shooting continuously until nearly everyone in that room was dead to the emotional final good bye from Walt and Jesse. Jesse’ scene driving away was perfect for his character because I was actually glad to see at least someone who every breaking bad fan loved didn’t actually die.
To me the final song choice and scene fitted perfectly together, although you never know Walt may still be alive (We can dream), with him falling to the ground and the camera panning out from his body and the police arriving it really did feel like a final episode which I’m sure had everyone emotionally drained.
This was my first actually post for this blog, I’m not sure if I’ll continue this or not as I’m not a very confident writer/reviewer but I wanted to give it a shot, maybe this will help grow my confidence!
(Btw if you want a laugh check out the Mexican version of breaking bad 😂)
