An Unsolvable Case (Glamrock Freddy x fem!Reader) Finale ~
Summary: You’re a detective of the city, who was tasked to investigate the brand new Pizzaplex where children went missing and employees were fired due to mysterious reasons. What happens when you get yourself locked inside the place with the animatronics who try to hunt you down?
Word count: 1699
Warnings: none
A/N: Hey guys! So we arrived to the end of the journey! I hope you enjoyed! For those who were hoping for smut, I plan on writing smut for Freddy but only him as I am only interested in him and would not be able to do a good job with the others. Thank you for reading and following! It meant a lot to see so many people reading my stuff!
And this is the fanart I drew for Freddy as a human, please excuse my lack of talent XD I got excited with the thought of him being half human-half bear animatronic XD
Previous Chapter
Tumblr media
It was a miracle that you did not drive the van into a tree as the animatronics fought in the back. Gregory hid on the passenger seat beside you while you stirred the wheel left and right, trying to keep the van on the road. Freddy pushed the remaining parts of Monty against the wall of the van, making the whole vehicle lose balance.
“I appreciate your enthusiasm, Freddy but could you not do that again?! I can barely keep the van on the road!” you yelled to the back. You only heard a grunt before you heard metal clash on metal and Monty’s torso landed on the floor of the car. Roxanne and Chica were restrained by Bonnie, his red guitar pressed against the two female animatronic.
“It is not as easy to stay put!” Freddy replied before he went over to Bonnie and pressed the deactivating button on both females. With a loud thud, Roxy and Chica crumbled to the ground.
“Where are we going?” Gregory asked curiously now that the animatronics were not threatening his well being. You looked down at your severed arm, still sparkling where your endoskeleton got damaged.
“To my father.” you replied, eyebrows furrowed.
It has been a long time since you saw him. After you got accepted to the Police academy, you left your family house and moved to the city alone. Ever since, you never contacted your father. It was not out of resentment, you simply felt like he changed after your mother died… and probably you. The real you.
You still had no idea how to react to that. You should’ve noticed it when you didn’t have to eat and only did it out of habit. You should’ve noticed that you were still functioning perfectly even after three days without sleep. You felt tired, yes, but you weren’t sleep deprived. Maybe your colleagues felt the difference and that is why they treated you so badly. You never belonged with them.
As you pulled up to the front porch with the van, you took in the old house. Stopping the engine, you sat there silently, staring at the entrance door you walked out of so many years ago.
“Is this where you grew up?” Gregory asked, Freddy popping his head over your shoulder in curiosity. His glowing eyes then turned to you, his mouth opening to say something but you cut him off before he could say anything.
“I lived here, yes… I have no idea if my father is home.” you unbuckled your seatbelt and jumped out of the van. You were sure that you were a sight to behold with your jeans slightly burnt and ripped open and your white shirt stained with grime. You avoided looking into the rear view mirror before, knowing your hair was in a similar state.
With slow, unsure steps, you approached the entrance door and took a deep breath. Your hand felt like it weighed a ton as you lifted it to knock on the door. Heart pounding in your chest, you waited but only silence answered you. Furrowing your eyebrows, you tried to open the door but the doorknob broke off, staying in your grip.
The door slowly opened on its own with a loud creak. Stepping inside, you called out for your dad but no answer came. Gregory followed you inside, exploring the living room before you could reach it.
“(Name)... I think your dad is-”
There he was, sitting in the armchair with his head leaned back, mouth ajar, eyes closed, sleeping the dream of the dead. You slowly walked up to him with tears in your eyes. He looked so tired, so old with his deep wrinkles and sunken cheeks.
“It has been a long time, dad…” you smiled sadly, patting his boney hand. A small, warm hand grabbed your other hand, drawing your attention to Gregory. His eyebrows curled down sadly as he gazed at you.
“I’m sorry, (Name).” he whispered. Soon, Freddy and Bonnie joined you in the house, dragging their friends inside. Planning out the next step was easy. You couldn’t yet deal with calling the morgue to take your dad so you decided that looking around in the basement would help you out.
For a long while, you rummaged through the tools and boxes in the basement. There was only one metal table and some other gadgets to the side. Turning on the computer your dad had there let you see blueprints and other designs. Designs. It was strange to see several designs with your name. You felt like puking when you saw each blueprint. The first versions were abominations with your face until your dad figured out a design for your current look.
“(Name)... I know you must be overwhelmed right now and might want to be alone, but maybe you could use some company.” Freddy spoke up from the doorway, his large frame filling it.
“I… thank you, Freddy.” you smiled at him and got up. Walking over the metal table, you hopped onto it while Freddy stood in front of you. “I always believed myself to be… human.”
“You must not be completely like us. Your movements, they’re too smooth and your behavior…”
“You behave like a human being, Freddy, there is no difference between us.” you grabbed his hand, pulling it up to yours. Pressing your palm against his paw, you smiled. You haven’t felt a connection with others before, yet Freddy… he felt so familiar. He leaned down, snout a breath away from your plump lips as he gazed into your eyes.
“I feel different… around you, (Name).” he said, stepping between your legs. You blushed deeply at the close proximity. You’ve never been so close to anyone.
“We can make everyone looking like humans!” Gregory piped up from the computer, breaking your little bubble. Feeling like your head was about to explode, you hid your face behind your hands. You felt Freddy shift, his attention drawn to the kid with interest.
“That would make it easier to hide from the authorities!” Freddy perked up.
End ~
Epilogue:
The morning sun shone through the thin curtains, the warmth of the sunlight caressing your skin as you turned on your other side in the bed with a muffled groan. A cold nose pressed against your cheek making you pull away.
“Freddy!” you giggled as he leaned in, pressing his cold nose against your skin in the crook of your neck. “Freddy! Stop it!”
His large, warm hands grabbed your waist as he pulled you to his chest. It has been a few years since you rescued the team from the pizzaplex. Adopting Gregory took long as the inspector made it difficult for you. She kept doubting whether you and Freddy were able to take care of a child. You were transferred to another police station in the neighbouring district where your colleagues treated you normally, you even made one friend, Nichole.
Monty was the hardest to deal with. He had a hard time accepting that the life he was forced to live was not only fake but was taken from him the second he went missing. No one looked for the animatronics which was strange given that they were super expensive. The large once robot alligator found a new purpose after learning that living as a human was not as bad either. He learned to actually play the guitar and now Chica and her were playing in the local bar.
You were afraid that they wouldn’t get along with people, that they wouldn’t be able to fit in with the community. It was a shock how easily they got along with people but given the fact that they were once entertaining kids, taking care of them, it shouldn’t have been a surprise.
Freddy growled into your hair as you tried to push away from him, still giggling.
“Freddy! We need to get up! Gregory is going to school and even if he somehow can drive, I cannot let anyone see him drive!” you patted his chest as you leaned back to look up at him. Ever since you and Gregory managed to put Freddy into a human looking body, you never felt alone ever again. He now had blue eyes with arched eyebrows casting a shadow over them. His plump lips were soft like a pillow and his jaw was covered with a thick brown beard. His brown hair tousled as he lay there, gazing at you lovingly.
“Will you come back after that?” he asked, pouting as he leaned down.
“It is my day off, of course I come back! I want nothing to do with another report about a cat that got stuck on a tree.” you booped his nose before you rolled out of bed and went to the wardrobe to get ready.
“(Name)! (Name)! We have to go! I will be late!” Gregory came running into your bedroom, hopping onto the bed next to Freddy.
“I know, I know, Gregory! But let’s get you some breakfast first!” you grinned at him as you pulled your sweater over your head. Suddenly, noise came from the kitchen making you run down the stairs just to see Roxy making breakfast. Raising an eyebrow, you crossed your arms in front of your chest.
“Whatcha got there?” you asked. Roxanne once had issues about her appearance, now though she was working as a model, she even got a commercial role. She grinned back at you as she grabbed two eggs.
“I’m making breakfast!” she chuckled, motioning to the pile of food on the kitchen counter. Monty and Chica were already sitting by the counter, stuffing their faces with some bacon and eggs. It was not as big of a shock when they announced they were dating and now they were sharing an apartment down the street. Moondrop and Sunrise became different entities once you gave them a human-like body. They were working in the kindergarten on the corner and shared an apartment. Bonnie started working as a music teacher for the elementary school where Freddy became the doorman. Roxy was the only one still living with you but she was trying to find her own place closer to downtown.
Freddy walked up behind you with Gregory sitting on his neck, his hands grabbing your waist as he kissed the back of your head. Maybe you were not a normal family, but a family nonetheless.

Gregory shook you violently as you knelt on the dirty ground. His face was concerned as he tried to draw your attention. You panted heavily, cold sweat breaking out on your forehead as you slowly regained your bearings. It has been so long since you had those nightmares, the memories never resurfaced since your therapist hypnotized you so you could sleep again.
“(Name)... are you okay?” Gregory asked, his face filled with… fear? Why was he looking at you so frightened?
“Yeah… I just had a flashback…” you gulped, heart pounding in your chest. “This place is… where my mom died…”
“Oh… I’m sorry…” he averted his gaze, not knowing what else he should say. You patted his head and smiled sadly.
“It’s been long… and we have other things to take care of first.” Getting up, you grabbed his hand and pulled him inside. There was a generator inside which he quickly turned on before you found an opening down somewhere… deep. Furrowing your eyebrows, you tried to peer inside the whole but could only hear heavy breathing. Something was down there.
Gregory jumped down first on the lower part leaving you no time to hesitate. Following him down, you looked around, soon, you spotted what was probably breathing so heavily. A chill ran down your spine at the horrifying sight of the creature. It was a mess of metallic tentacles. At the top was the head of a previous model of Freddy. Funtime Freddy if you remembered correctly. There were still some posters and records of the Funtime animatronics.
“(Name)? Gregory? Where are you?”
Freddy?! How did he come down here?
“Freddy! You shouldn’t have come after us! Who will protect Bonnie from the others?” you yelled up at the stubborn bear. His head peaked over the edge, eyes glowing as he looked at you, ears bouncing.
“You shouldn’t be here alone… I… have to protect you.” he answered before he jumped down, shaking the whole structure.
“Freddy! Don’t leave me alone!” Bonnie soon joined your little group. Gregory looked up at Freddy and climbed inside his stomach hatch when the bear opened it. Following the two animatronics down towards the strange creature, you felt more and more uneasy.
Suddenly, the creature screeched, coming alive, quickly shooting toward you. The metallic tentacles grabbed your arms, lifting you up as it opened its face plates. Your heart was pounding in your chest but nothing happened. It tilted its head to the side, then as to investigate further, it leaned forward.
“One of ussssss…” it hissed as it put you back down. Freddy quickly pulled you into a tight hug, glaring at the creature that just looked on calmly.
“Ugh… we’ve been here before… She brought us here, to clear the path… to him…” Bonnie groaned in pain, clutching his head. “Our friends… they’re here, they’re so angry… confused…”
“Who?” Gregory asked, confused. You felt your body suddenly spasm, it felt so strange, it was not painful but it felt like material was tearing apart. Your soul was touched. You turned your head to the side from Freddy’s chest to see everything. The place looked so different. It was grey and there were so many people…? souls…? They looked at you and in the middle, there was your mother. She smiled at you yet she looked so scary with her eyes only dark holes.
“Why did you come back, darling?” she asked as she stretched her hand out towards your face, gently brushing your cheek.
“Mom?”
“I could not leave… I was trapped though I didn’t want to be trapped. I wanted to let go… but he is binding me here.” she said.
“I’ll free you!” you yelled, ripping yourself out of Freddy’s embrace to stumble to the pit of the hole. Bonnie and Freddy went after you but their added weight broke the wooden planks and all of you fell down. Tears rolling down your cheeks, you got back up on your feet with a loud sniff.
You had no time for this. You had to end this.
Freddy started spasming and he quickly pushed Gregory out of his chest cavity. It was a horrifying sight, not only the place looked so eerie with the worn bed to the side, Freddy’s jerking and twisting body was not good news.
“Stop him…”
“What was that? Are you okay?” Gregory tried to go to Freddy, but Bonnie stopped him, opening his own stomach hatch.
“I cannot be influenced as (Name) practically built me up again from scratch. I’ll keep you safe, kid.” he stretched out a hand to Gregory.
“I made sure that I set everything back to default as there was already a bug in your system, Bonnie, of course you’re clean.” you smirked. No one ever knew about your skills in I.T. but you rather prefered to exclude that information when you introduced yourself. You inherited that skill from your father and after your mother’s death… he wasn’t the same anymore.
“He is trying to take control of me. I do not think I can fight it for long.”
Freddy struggled to speak as you approached the monitors on the three desks, there was a button by each, metal doors on the sides and a vent above the middle computer. You narrowed your eyes at the monitor to see a creature moving sluggishly, almost stumbling. It was a horrifying sight. There were bones and flesh fused with an endoskeleton and under the mask was a skull encased in red flesh.
How could it still live? It was almost impossible to stay alive after a springlock failure. Wait… how did you know what happened to that man? How did you know it was a man once? The questions flashed through your mind as you groaned in pain, your head throbbing. One of them.
You looked down to see your arm. Plastic, synthetic flesh was pulled off from the metallic endoskeleton it once encased. Frightened, you touched it. It was your arm. Then, you saw the truth.
Your father sat in front of you. Not you or not yet you. The endoskeleton looked back at the man as he finished the wiring.
“I will get my family back…” he mumbled almost manically.
You blinked to see him looking at you through a glass window with a satisfied smile. He let you out of the strange machine and patted your head. There was soft silky (h/c) hair falling from your scalp. He pulled you into a tight hug.
“You’re back, my darling! Papa saved you!” he grinned at you and went over to another table.
“One of us…” Bonnie mumbled as he looked at you with shock. Even if his mask was not allowing his face to show much emotion, his jaw still opened a bit, his optics shrinking.
You all heard hard foot falls approaching. You quickly pushed Gregory into Bonnie’s stomach hatch to hide him when Roxy just stepped foot into the room. She was blind but her hearing was good. You were surprised that she acted like she couldn’t sense you. Going over to the monitors, you pressed the button where the man-creature was standing.
He put his hand on the tv in front of him similar to those fake magicians who were trying to cure people through television. You almost chuckled at that thought, this zombie thing sitting behind the camera, offering fortune telling.
As you pressed the button, you saw the room filling with flames, burning him. It did not do much to him but it still stopped him from taking control over Freddy. Chica was approaching on the corridor but Gregory closed the metal door before she could enter the room.
The two of you repeated the actions until suddenly, the place started crumbling. Probably because of the fire you were attacking the creature with, melted things that was keeping the place up. You grabbed Gregory and pulled on both animatronic’s hands to urge them to leave. Running through the burning structure, you made your way back to the elevator.
It miraculously worked and brought you back up. The building started collapsing around you. Spotting Sunrise hopping around in fright, Gregory grabbed his hand and pulled him along with the four of you. He kept screaming and veiling in panic as burning rubble fell from the ceiling. Making it to the dock, you quickly boarded a large van. Driving through the burning garage was difficult but you made it to the door, however, when you were almost out, Monty’s severed form somehow jumped onto the van, Roxanne and Chica running after it as well.
“What are we gonna do now?!” Gregory yelled to the front as he tried to keep the doors of the van shut with Bonnie.
“They don’t deserve to be left in here, burning into ashes!” Sunrise cried out. Honestly, you felt the same. None of the gang had any control over their actions as Afton’s virus took over them. You knew how to fix them, setting them back into Safe Mode first before you’d erase the virus from their system.
“Can you knock them out?” you cried over your shoulder to Freddy as you drove through the parking lot. The S.T.A.F.F. bots were gathering together to stop you from leaving but it was easy to just run them over.
“I can try!” Freddy shrugged, opening the back of the van, letting Monty inside. Let the fun begin!

After convincing Bonnie that you weren’t there to hurt them, the three of you made your way back to Parts and Service. To your surprise, Gregory was already there, sitting on a chair.
“Where were you guys and… who is he?” he pointed at Bonnie with a complicated expression. It could be called a mix of horror and fascination.
“He’s Bonnie and we were looking for you, mister!” you went over to him with your hands on your hips. “I found Bonnie so we could now repair him or something.”
“Do-do youou g-guys ee-even kn-know h-how to-to do-oo tha-at?” Bonnie crossed his arms in front of his chest or what was left of it unsure if it was a good choice to trust his remaining parts with you.
“There are blueprints on the computer I can use and there are empty casings over there.” you pointed at a few rusty, dirty casings. Bonnie reluctantly went into the cylinder and laid on the chair, his hands twitching and jerking probably from nervousness. It took an hour to repair the circuits and replace some parts of his endoskeleton after taking off his old casing. Replacing his casing was easy, you only needed to fit him into it.
After you finished with it, Gregory grabbed a few paint cans. Putting on a basic protective layer, you made sure that it dried perfectly before adding the first layer of purple paint. Bonnie now could talk without glitches and stuttering, his head no longer jerking around nor were his arms and hands twitching. It showed how happy he looked as he was much more cheery while you worked on his paint work. Adding nice little luminescent stars made him look like when he first came out from here.
“It is almost 6 am. We should get Gregory out now.” Freddy announced, his voice sounding a tad bit sad.
“Let’s go to the main entrance. See if it’s open?” Bonnie asked, making his way over to the elevator. Gregory hid inside Freddy’s chest cavity in case any of the others would notice him.
You knew you had enough evidence to show to your boss and get the permission to continue on with the investigation yet you felt like if you left, you wouldn’t get the chance to close this case. You needed to find the missing kids.
Suddenly, as you made your way to the elevator, Vanessa the security guard’s voice came through the speakers.
“Hey, little man, do you know what time it is? The doors are open, why are you still here? You plan on moving in or you just want a job? Maybe join the internship program? You would make a great security guard.” she sounded sarcastic, probably annoyed with the situation. “Gregory, I think you deserve a reward. Go check the main stage.”
“We definitely shouldn’t do that.” you chuckled. “I doubt it is anything good.”
“Me neither…” Gregory replied but somehow, he sounded like he had something on his mind.
“What is it?” you asked, turning to Freddy’s chest.
“If we leave now… nothing will change, will it? There will be more disappearances.” he asked.
“I am afraid that is correct.” Freddy said, his round ears drooping down just like Bonnie’s long ears as he listened on. “You can choose to stay and investigate with the detective or leave. I have a hunch that there’s something else going on here.”
“(Name), you wanted to stay anyway?!” Gregory opened Freddy’s stomach hatch to look you in the eyes. You smiled back at him and nodded.
“I came here to investigate. Even if I found evidence I could go on, I still need more information and if I possibly can, rescue the missing children.”
“Where should we go now?” Gregory asked. “If I saw it correctly, there is a part of the plex where it is closed off. Could we find anything there?”
“It never hurts to check.” you shrugged. Getting back to Fazer Blast, you got your gun out and cocked it, ready to shoot. It looked dangerous to be here as the lights went out for a while. It was eerily quiet, giving you shivers as you followed Freddy through the gate that was blocking your way. He smashed it open with the claws Gregory updated him with while you were separated from them.
Going up the stairs, Freddy smashed through another gate which led to an open area. You saw a red door on the other side, which led to a construction area with metal bars and stairs. Shivering a bit, you rubbed your arm with your free hand when Freddy pulled you to his side.
“If you feel cold, just say so, detective. Bonnie and I both exert heat as we use power.” he said. Chuckling a bit, you reassured him that you will take upon the offer if needed before continuing your way down the stairs. The four of you reached a strange area underground probably, where tall concrete columns were keeping up the ceiling. It all looked damaged, like it was halfway in construction.
It was strange. How was a complete building having this half collapsing area in the middle of it underground? It was not safe, like if an earthquake would shake the city, the Pizzaplex would easily collapse.
Ducking under metal bars and avoiding touching wires that sparkled with electricity, you made your way over to an elevator. Going over, you were about to step into it, when Freddy grabbed your arm.
“Be careful, this elevator seems to not follow any safety protocols. I do not think it can survive more than one trip.” he said, doing a quick scan.
“Especially if the two of you come with us.” you noted, rubbing your chin in thought. “Bonnie, Freddy, I’m sorry but you guys have to stay behind. It is not safe for you to come with us because your added weight could break the elevator and I worked hard on not only fixing you but the painting!”
“You cannot go alone!” Freddy protested.
“I sense something… evil… it might be a wise decision to not go at all.” Bonnie added.
“There’s something I have to find out and that I can only do by going down there.”
“B-”
“No butts, Freddy!” you grinned at him. “You stay here and make sure that none of the others come down after us. Monty, Roxy and Chica are still roaming the place and this is the only exit. Guard it so we can make it back.”
With that, you grabbed Gregory’s hand and pressed the button of the elevator. Your heart was picking up its pace the lower you went but you knew you had to find a way to solve this case.
The elevator came to a harsh stop, making you bounce before it opened the doors, revealing a strange place. You walked out spotting purple generators. Gregory switched them on one by one as you two made your way through the place. It was a bit shocking that he looked unfazed and completely curious about this place. Was he not aware that you guys could die here? Or was he not interested in it? It was strange though.
Reaching the end of the tunnel, you spotted a security bot rusty and so worn down that you couldn’t fathom how it could still work. Taking Gregory on your back, you avoided the poor bot and entered the door of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Place. That place was bulldozed down many many years ago or that was what people said. As you touched the door handle to push it open, you felt agonizing pain in your head. Crying out in pain, you dropped to the ground as memories flooded your mind.
Families were celebrating multiple birthdays already when you arrived with your parents. Your mom held your hand tightly as she smiled down at you joyfully. She was so beautiful, she was always loved by everyone. She had such a good nature. Your dad petted your head as he went to the reception desk, telling the lady standing behind about his reservation.
You never had birthday parties with your classmates, only celebrated with your parents in a quiet corner, though it was better than any fancy party. You were content, happy that your parents flooded you with their love. It was hard for them, they both had two jobs in general, sometimes working a third if they needed more money to pay the rent and bills. It was slightly easier since your grandpa died and left his old house to your father with every belongings.
He offered your father that you could move in, the house was big enough for all of you, but your father was a proud man and he wanted to show your mother and your grandpa that he was capable of buying a house. He was still mourning his father when you guys had to move in, the rent was too much and before the landlord decided to kick you out, your family packed everything and moved in.
You couldn’t remember how the fire started, only the running, panicking people, screaming and crying as they fled the building. That is when you looked back, you saw your mother being grabbed by a pair of yellow paws, covering half of her face as they pulled her back into the fire. Your father cried out when your mother screamed at you both to leave her behind but the fire got so bad that he had to first get you out. When the firefighters arrived and the fire was extinguished, he was the first to jump to the ashes and start digging.
He was the first to find your mother’s dead body. That day turned into a nightmare haunting you. Not because of the sight of your mother’s lifeless body, but because of the yellow bunny mascot, who pulled the head off, revealing a charred face. The man looked at you and mouthed: “We’ll meet again, soon.”

While waiting for Gregory to return, as he reassured that he could get back to you two, Freddy and you sat down and the large metallic bear let you clean his casing. You had no idea how he got so dirty but he only needed a little polishing and he looked brand new again. He seemed to be deep in thought as he sat there silently, staring in front of himself.
“(Name)... I… am not sure if it is safe for you to keep searching around.” he rumbled.
“Why do you say that?” you stopped the movement of your hand and patted his shoulder. “I know it is dangerous here but… Freddy, Moondrop said something I cannot forget. My mind keeps spinning around it. I have to find out the truth.”
“What is it?”
“I am one of you.” you replied unsure. It felt strange on your tongue as you said it. He grabbed your arms and scanned you again but came up with nothing. You patted his arm, signalling for him that you wanted to be back on your feet. “Freddy, it could be meant not literally, you know? I still need to figure it all out.”
“It is still dangerous.” he narrowed his eyes at you.
“Freddy! (Name)!” Gregory cried out from behind the door making you turn to him. Once he ran inside the Parts and Service, you grabbed his shoulders and looked him over. His brown eyes looked up at you quizzically before you pulled him into a hug.
“I’m glad you are alright.” you smiled as you let him go. Gregory shrugged his shoulders and gave you a soft smile.
“Well, let’s just say, the others cannot reach into tight spaces.” Then he turned around, looking at shelves and containers. “There’s so much tech stuff in here. Is there anything we could use to stop the other bots?”
“Bright lights in the eyes cause us to briefly malfunction. I suppose a Fazerblaster or a Faz Cam could work.” Freddy noted.
“Where do we get one?” you asked.
“You can win a Fazerblaster in Fazer Blast. Faz Cams are often confiscated in Monty Golf, but you will need a Party Pass to open one of those attractions. Chica normally gives them out for birthdays. Let’s check her green room in Rockstar Row, you may find one there.”
Freddy opened his chest cavity for Gregory to climb in before you made your way to the elevator. Going up, you noticed Moondrop lurking around. You hoped that getting over to Rockstar Row would not be as troublesome as the whole night was up until now. As you reached the stage, you felt Moondrop’s hand grab onto yours. Freddy went to stop him but you raised your hand.
“It is alright, I don’t think Moondrop here wants anything bad.” you said reassuringly. Moondrop led you to the side after you told Freddy that you’ll go after them. The dark animatronic seemed to not want anything bad. He stopped behind a column, turning to you after looking around.
“Turn the lights on permanently, if you want no more trouble…” he said. “He controls me! I cannot say no if he wants me to do as he says.”
“Who is ‘he’?” you furrowed your eyebrows.
“Don’t go underground! Never ride that elevator!” Moondrop hopped from one foot to the other, quickly turning around and leaving you behind in the silence. This was so fishy, damn it! What the hell was he talking about?! Who was controlling him?! Grabbing your flashlight, you made your way over to the elevators and pressed a button. Suddenly, you felt your head buzzing, your vision going blurry. Snapping your head to the side, you spotted the bunny mascot with the knife slowly approaching you. Pressing on the button more forcefully, you started to panic. You couldn’t shoot with your vision going crazy.
You kept hitting the button as she got closer and closer, she was reaching the top of the stairs when the metal doors slid open and you stumbled inside, slapping the button on the inside as hard as you could. The doors slid shut before she could reach you, your ears filled with the soft music of the elevator and your vision returned.
What the hell?!
Taking large gulps of air, you tried to slow down your heartbeat. Everything was wrong with this place. When the elevator stopped and the doors opened, you found yourself the furthest from where Freddy and Gregory were. Realizing that you had no way of communicating with them, you stopped in your tracks. You needed to find a way back to them but you had no idea where they could be at the moment.
Leaving the elevator, you looked around, trying to find a solution. Spotting Bonnie Bowl, you went over to the stage. There could be a security office here somewhere and if you could find one, you could find a way to communicate with Freddy. Going to the back door, you walked around the corridors and janitor’s rooms filled with mops. Suddenly, a S.T.A.F.F. bot bumped into you, flashlight illuminating your face.
“Hey buddy.” you waved at him.
“Excuse me, I need to get through here, could you step aside?” he asked politely. You nodded a little perplexed and moved aside so he could pass. You had no idea why people treated bots so badly, wrecking and trashing them. Sighing, you made your way over to the last door which was luckily what you were looking for. It was partially a security room but on the other side was a room with a window. Quietly sliding into the office, you started turning on the computer.
Thump.
You jumped in your office chair, making it squeak. Through the window to the other room, you spotted a dark silhouette. Large bunny ears rising from the head, a hand-paw pressed against the window as red, luminescent eyes stared back at you. Walking closer, you felt his eyes follow your every move.
“B-Bonnie?” you asked quietly.
“W-Who-oo are-are you-ou?” the large bunny animatronic or what was left of him, asked.
“I’m (Name). I got trapped in the building and Freddy is trying to help but he has another guest to look after.” you smiled at him, pressing a hand to the cool glass.
“F-Fredd-y-y? Where-where is-s he?” Bonnie asked, his broken voice box getting stuck on the words.
“He’s downstairs probably, trying to protect his guest from the others.” you replied. “He said, you got in an accident.”
“I do-do n-n-not wa-wa-want to-to talk… a-about it-it.” he grumbled and turned away from you.
“I get that. But Freddy taught me how to use the machine in Parts and Service. If we get back there, we could find a new casing?” you rather asked then said as you were unsure if he wanted help at all. You didn’t want him to turn aggressive or irritate him. His ears though perked up, some sparks flying around as he turned back to you.
“Wh-why?” he asked.
“Because I don’t give up on others if there’s still hope… and… there’s always hope.” you shrugged with a bright smile. “Do you know where I can find your blueprints? That could help to fix you.”
“Could-Could you-ou l-l-let me-ee out first? I feel-eel a little-le s-stuffed in here.” he looked to the door.
You quickly opened the door but when he stepped outside the room, he grabbed your arm tightly making you yelp. Your heart started thumping quickly in your chest as you looked up at his broken face, his endoskeleton visible through the half missing face part of his casing.
“We-ee will-will f-f-f-ind Fr-Freddy fi-first.” he said menacingly. You couldn’t blame him though. He was beaten to almost death by Monty, then he was treated as trash by humans. Silently, you followed Bonnie out of the security room and back to the elevators while he kept a death grip on your wrist.
“Do you know where is Freddy at least?” you asked as you rode the elevator with Bonnie.
“I-I c-can kee-eep tr-track of-of m-my fr-friends.” he replied sulking. It was in vain getting through to him so you decided to keep quiet until he led you to Freddy. The bear was the only one who could convince his old friend about you wanting nothing wrong.
Bonnie led you back to a different elevator used only by staff. He pulled you through corridor after corridor through the darkness. His red eyes glooming threateningly at everything.
“Y-Your-r heart-trate is not-not normal.” he said matter of factly.
“I don’t like the darkness.” you shrugged.
“L-Li-iar.”
“Okay, okay, Bonnie, can you really blame me for being a tiny bit afraid of you? Like you grabbed me so violently and your grip is so tight it hurts.” you mumbled.
“N-no need.” he simply replied and loosened his grip slightly. He stopped in front of a door and pushed it open to reveal Freddy looking remorsefully into a… trash compactor? Walking up to him, Bonnie pulled you forward. “I-is th-this you-rr fri-friend?”
“Bonnie?! (Name)?!” Freddy approached the two of you shocked. “What happened to you?! And how did you find him?!”
“Bonnie was in the back room in Bonnie Bowl. They hid him in there and left him there.” you replied. “Where is Gregory?”
“Um… he fell into the trash compactor with… Chica.” the big animatronic bear said looking back at the trash compactor.
“That kid…” you facepalmed.

“Gregory, I have good news: it looks like you can access the Fazbear online pizza delivery system through that console!” Freddy said as he hurried down the hallway with you. It seemed like none of the other robots were interested in you whether you were around Freddy or not.
“What? How is that supposed to help?” Gregory asked incredulously. You decided not to ask questions after all the ridiculous plans this bear came up with, however, they worked up until now.
“Chica loves pizza!” Freddy answered before he spotted Monty at the end. Grabbing your hand, Freddy slowed down cautiously. He kept shielding you slightly as he walked. It made you feel secure. You haven’t experienced this kind of act ever since your dad died. None of the guys treated you like a woman just because, unless they were hoping for something. It made you feel worthless after a while, resulting in you turning away from others and focusing solely on your work.
Monty approached the two of you, his large frame intimidating, hands balled into fists, eyes scanning the area.
“What are you doing Freddy? Weren’t you notified by Vanessa to look for that kid?” he asked, pulling his glasses lower on his snout. Then his eyes traveled over to you, making you feel uneasy. Monty leaned down to your eye level, too close to your liking, your hand instantly squeezing Freddy’s. “And who might you be?”
“(Name)... I just arrived.” you said shortly, trying to go into too much detail.
“Hm… well, (Name), when you get tired of my friend here, you’re welcome to join me in the golf course.” Monty winked before walking past Freddy. Furrowing your eyebrows, you tightened your hold on Freddy’s paw. Like he felt it, the large animatronic bear leaned down and slid his large hand across your back.
“I’m here, don’t be afraid, (Name).” he rumbled. Somehow, that did reassure you.
“I found the loading dock… but nothing is here.” Gregory announced. “There are some big garage doors, but I don’t see a way to get out.”
“Do you see a set of controls?”
Looking up at Freddy, you were unsure if you should let Gregory do everything on his own. He was still just a kid after all and he could get caught by the others. The end results were something you didn’t want to actually happen.
“I think so… There’s a funny locked box with a badge on it.”
“Those are the loading dock controls.” Freddy suddenly stopped in front of you, making you walk right into his back. “Something’s not right, someone must’ve changed the permissions. You’re going to need a much higher security level to get out that way. Come back to me right away.”
Suddenly, Freddy started glitching in front of you, his head jerking right and left, hands shaking at his sides. Stepping back from him, you tried to look him over, to find if there was something wrong on the outside but come up with nothing. He then turned to you, eyes apologetic.
“(N-N-Name)... so-something is-is wrong with-with me-ee.” he spoke.
“Let’s get you into Parts and Service. That’s where you guys get your daily check-ups right?” you asked.
“O-o-okay-kay.” he nodded, trying to stop his head from shaking. Walking through the main hall, where the food court was, you passed the S.T.A.F.F. bots several times until you reached the stage. The large holograms were spectacular, the detail and the visual was beautiful. You had no idea how the company could afford such things when they were barely able to fix the main stars of the show properly.
The management was probably a group of idiots if they thought that without proper maintenance, this place would be able to function. More and more reports came from the security guards and the complaints from the customers were more and more upset each time. Pushing the button, Freddy and you rode the elevator under the stage. You walked down a corridor until you spotted a recharge station, then another area over the glass walls.
Freddy went ahead to show you the maintenance cylinder. He looked battered and dirty so you decided to maybe try and give him a bath of some kind. Though, you knew you should be careful with it, no need to short circuit him with water.
“There on the-”
“There you are!” hurried over the security guard with her flashlight in hand. Her scowl sat deep on her face. You were lucky to slip behind a shelf before she could spot you, but that left Freddy on his own.
“I finally found you at last. What do you think you’re doing?! Hiding a kid?!” the security guard asked angrily. “I found him earlier and left him in the Lost and Found.”
“That is great news! He can return to his family!” Freddy’s acting was… mediocre at best. You could almost see him sweat as he was restrained by Moondrop. Your eyebrows furrowed. Why did Moondrop not attack the security guard? She was completely human, like you. But then… he didn’t attack you either earlier. You watched helplessly as they separated Freddy’s head from his torso, you had no idea why.
“He can’t. Turns out, there is no record of him.” she replied, crossing her arms.
“How unfortunate. If you re-attach my head I will go look for him.”
“His name is Gregory. Do you know why I know that? His Fazwatch keeps repeating it. In your voice…” she continued on like Freddy said nothing.
“Vanessa, all the Fazwatches sound like me, it’s the default voice option.”
“If you’re part of this, you’re scrap. Monty will run the shows, until Parts and Service can slap your casing on a new Endo. Hang out here for a while, I gotta find that kid.”
“Vanessa! Do not leave me like this!” Freddy cried out angrily after her, but Vanessa was nowhere to be seen as she slid through a door and disappeared. Grabbing your gun, you walked out from behind the shelf and went over to Freddy. “(Name)! Can you please help me out here? I could use some help.”
“Oh, Freddy… I’m sorry that they’re so rude.” you sighed. “Now tell me how to put your head back on your neck.”
Listening to the instructions, you did as he and the strange maintenance voice said. Pushing the right buttons and pulling the right levers was quite easy. Freddy got out of the cylinder quickly and leaned down to your level, pulling you in his arms in a hug.
“What’s up big guy?” you chuckled. “Don’t you want a nice wash and waxing? You look a little worn.”
“Thank you.” he breathed silently, as silently as possible. “No one’s been nice to me… since… Bo- my friend left…”
“You mean Bonnie?” you asked, patting his hand. “Let me get into this computer here, I might find more evidence and… I am sure they all have your A.I.-s and many more in store. It wouldn’t be a stupid thing for them to keep things like these in any case.”
“You… you want to find Bonnie’s A.I.?! Could that be possible?!” His voice sounded so hopeful, filled with emotions which left you doubt the fact they were just machines.
“We’ll see, big guy.” you smiled back at him.

An Unsolvable Case (Glamrock Freddy x fm!Reader) Part Five

It was ridiculous. Gregory pulled you into the recharge station with themselves, so you were standing squished to Freddy and the side of the metal cylinder of the station. However, after seeing the bunny lady skipping through the area with a knife in her hand, you were kind of grateful for Gregory’s insistence.
“Did you see that?”
“That is a fountain. A fountain is a decorative reservoir used for discharging water.” Freddy rushed to explain. You couldn’t help yourself but laugh until your sides hurt.
“No, no, Freddy, I think Gregory was talking about the lady in that bunny costume. Is she like a mascot or something?” you wiped a few tears from your eyes, still chuckling a bit. Freddy was so cute when he was oblivious. You wondered if all the others had the same traits, as in having a real personality or not.
“You didn’t see her, Freddy?” Gregory asked, surprised. Looking up at Freddy, you watched his optics looking around, eyes narrowing like someone’s would in case they feel confused. Then, he looked down at you and you felt like there was more to him than just machine.
“No, I didn’t see her… there’s no rabbit at the Mega Pizzaplex… not anymore…” he rumbled, looking sad. You remembered about the company announcing that the original bunny animatronic was out of order after only a few weeks of the grand opening. Furrowing your eyebrows, you put a gentle hand on Freddy’s arm.
“What happened?” you asked quietly.
“I’d rather not talk about it…” Freddy shook his head, making you sigh. You would find out anyway once you get your hands on another computer that belonged to the company. It was clear that the security desk in the Daycare had a lower clearance level, so in order for you to get your hands on more important files, you needed to get into higher level security areas.
“Anyway, we need to get Gregory out. Have you found any other exit points?” you asked as you exited the recharge station with Freddy.
“I have! I have identified two possible exit points. The main loading dock is located under the food court on the first floor. There’s also a fire escape in the third floor Prize Counter. Gregory, check your Fazwatch, I will mark both locations on your Faz Map.” Freddy announced it proudly. You smiled up at him and motioned with your hands.
“Lead the way!”
“Wait, I have no Faz Map.” Gregory spoke suddenly from Freddy’s stomach hatch.
“Oh, you should be able to obtain one from the greeter on the center balcony.”
So the three of you made your way over to the elevator and you pressed the button on the side. The music blaring from the speakers was the main song of the band. You remembered how it made you smile to see them perform on stage when you first entered the Pizzaplex. It was truly magic at first glance.
“Freddy… you must know about the missing children.” you spoke up suddenly.
“I… I do.” he replied reluctantly.
“I know it’s hard, but I am here for exactly that. I gathered information and if I can, I will try to find more.” you patted his large metal hand. Then you spoke softly. “Isn’t it strange for you guys to have actual claws and sharp teeth? Have you ever thought about it?”
“This makes us more realistic… or that is what the mechanics said.” he looked back at you, tilting his head. “What are you trying to say?”
“Freddy, I have a theory and you won’t like it.” you sighed, averting your gaze. He deserved to know the truth or more like your thoughts on this. He could be the only one who could help you. Maybe you should go back to Moondrop, he seemed to be the type to spill the beans if asked the right questions.
“Do you think the others are behind this?” Gregory jumped out of his stomach.
“It is possible that someone hacked into the system and overdriven the commands about security protocols. I mean… remember when I snooped around in the Daycare? I found evidence about hackings, but the source was coming from inside the system.”
“Someone tampered with us?!” Freddy exclaimed angrily. You could understand how it could feel. Their hard drive was like a human’s brain but as they were machines, their brains could be hacked into. Imagine how it would feel when someone would get into your brain and mess things up.
“I’m trying to find out and I will try my best to find a solution.” Your reassurance didn’t seem to help, as his hands balled into fists. Your heart thumped in your chest with pain. Brushing your hand up and down his large arm seemed to help a bit as his attention turned to you, his expression softening.
“Thank you for your concern.” he bowed his head. The elevator doors slid open after you heard a ‘ding’ sound. Gregory walked out first just to be attacked by a map bot. You were ready to shove the bot away but it didn’t hurt him, it only kept harassing him to take that map. The kid got angry at the thing and ripped the map out of its hand with a frown on his face yet when he did, the bot turned to you and shoved another map in your face.
Chuckling, you took away the map and patted it’s head gently, thanking it before you went further inside. There was no one there, only the security bots roaming the area. Going to the food court, you tried to open the door to the kitchen but was unsuccessful. The security badge you got was only first level clearance. There was a vent to the side but only Gregory could fit inside it to crawl through.
Sometimes you wished you could just change sizes so you could sneak into places easier.
“I’ll get into the office and get the higher level badge.” Gregory shrugged like it wasn’t dangerous for him to be alone here. He quickly crawled inside the vent and disappeared. Looking at Freddy, you sighed with a fond smile.
“He’s so strange, isn’t he? Kids his age usually keep crying and would be much more scared in this situation.” you spoke softly.
“Gregory has a great help.” Freddy patted your shoulder. “Detective, what have you found in the documents?”
“The security guards have their own messaging platform and I found their messages in their private communication array about hackings into the system. If it is true, not only you were all tempered with, but the whole building. I have no idea how it is connected to the missing children but I will find it out.” you furrowed your eyebrows. “I have theories about it like one of the employees has an organ traffic business and that’s why children go missing. It wouldn’t be a far fetched thing. Unfortunately, this world is rotten, I’m glad you don’t have to see the outside of these walls.”
“This place is not as magical as everyone thinks it is.” Freddy bowed his head sadly.
“If you could, would you leave this place?” you asked. Stepping closer, you put your hand on his arm, trying to be comforting.
“I… don’t know…” he shook his head but you knew the answer. You heard the heavy steps of one of the band members approaching. You were ready to fight but when Roxanne slowed down as she approached you two. She looked at you then at Freddy.
“What are you doing? Vanessa said we have to find that kid, no time for dates.” she huffed and turned away, leaving the two of you astonished. You had no idea what was going on. A date? But more importantly, she didn’t attack you. She acted like you were one of them. One of them.
“Freddy? Are you there?” Suddenly Gregory’s voice came from the animatronic bear. “I’m trapped! Chica found me and there’s only one security door!”
Sharing a look, the two of you took off running.

Going inside was easy but Chica was roaming the area sluggishly. How the hell did she get here from the basement so fast? It was like there were more of her or was summoned there somehow. Could these things spawn into places? You were sure that these versions were not the original ones. You’ve seen them perform and interact with people way before your investigation.
They were different, friendly, full of smiles and jokes. Now, except Freddy, none of them acted like themselves. The two of you sneaked around the place and waited for Chica to leave the area.
“Where should we go now?” Gregory asked.
“I upgraded my pass through the day as I wanted to get into every place.” you shrugged. “There was something I wanted to see in Daycare… there’s a security office there.”
“What do you want to do with a security office?” Gregory asked as he followed you to Daycare.
“I need information from the computers. I could access the main database or some corporational files.” you replied.
“You said you’re looking for someone…”
“Yeah, there are missing kids just like you. I’m investigating the case.” you nodded as you opened the door to the Daycare. Looking around from the balcony, you saw a ball pit, slides and other things. Everything was so colorful and bright. Anyone could lose track of time here without the natural lights.
Gregory was already sliding down the slide on the side so you had no other choice but to follow him. Well… let’s just say it was not made for your size and you had to wiggle yourself through the tunnel by the end. By the time you made your way through the ball pit, you saw Gregory being held up by the Daycare attendant animatronic. The guy looked non-threatening, still working as his programming told him to.
His head turned in your direction when he spotted you emerging from the ball pit.
“Ah, good, good, your mom just arrived to take you home! Let’s go!” Sunrise announced and pulled Gregory in your way. The strange look Gregory was making at that made you doubt his actual age. Playing the role would probably get this animatronic out of your hair. You quickly smiled and reached out for Gregory.
“There you are, sweety!” you spoke, then you turned to the animatronic. “You must be Sunrise, right?”
“You know my name?” he asked, his voice sounding shocked that someone would know his name or remember him. His height was level with your shoulders but he was crouching slightly.
“It’s everywhere on the pamphlets and by the entrance.” you replied. “But um… could you point out a security office for me? The night guard said we should stay in one until the authorities arrive as the building cannot be opened until six a.m.”
“Oh, yes, yes, come this way!” Sunrise grabbed your hand and pulled you towards the office. It was surprisingly easy. Asking nicely seemed to work fascinatingly, you wished that it would work on more humans as well. The world would be a better place.
Sunrise led you over to the security desk then before he left, he turned to you. “Please remember to keep the lights ON.”
“Of course, thank you for your help, Sunrise.” you smiled at him kindly. For a few seconds, he just stared at you before he finally left. Snooping around, you found a little Freddy-head that could be opened. Gregory took a flashlight from the holder on the wall while you looked around the desk more.
You had a little time and the other animatronics didn’t seem to be after you here, none of them appeared here yet. Turning on the computer, you put a pendrive in it and started snooping. You knew you probably had only a few minutes until Vanessa would be notified in the main security room. Skipping through the files, you found messaging between security guards during the day shifts. They were talking about someone hacking into the system, several dozen children’s guest profiles were deleted from the system like they never visited the facility. It was so obvious because the security guards during the day shifts remembered seeing a lot of those kids who were deleted from the database.
You made screenshots about these messages, before opening a few other folders, in which you found reports about mechanical problems involving the animatronics and S.T.A.F.F. bots. Saving them to your pendrive quickly, you unplugged it in order to stop anyone getting into it through the Pizzaplex’s system. You got what you needed.
“You never told me your name.” Gregory suddenly spoke up from beside you.
“I’m detective (Last Name), but you may call me (Name).” you mumbled as you looked for more information.
“We should get out of here though…” he looked around. You nodded before you pulled your pendrive out of the computer and turned it off. You pressed the nose of the Freddy-head which then opened up, revealing a security badge.
Grabbing it, suddenly the lights went out.
“Why did you do that?! I warned you! I WARNED YOUUUUU!” sounded from somewhere further away Sunrise’s voice. Looking around the desk, you found a button that had a lightbulb sign above it. Pressing it, nothing happened.
“Gregory, what did you guys do? The lights in the Daycare are out. You need to find the emergency backup generators and turn them on quickly. If you turned them on, you have to push the button below the security desk after that. It will make sure to keep the lights on until you get out. The generators are in the play structures.” Freddy’s worried voice could be heard from Gregory’s watch.
“Gregory, you are the only one fitting into the play structures. Can you do this? I’ll distract Moondrop as long as you do that.” you said, trying to be reassuring, however, you were terrified. You had no idea if Moondrop would be dangerous or would be just simply grumpy. Grabbing your own flashlight you hid in the back of your pants, you made your way outside the desk. The light drew Moondrop towards you while Gregory made his way into the tunnels.
“Naughty boy, naughty boy… where are you?” he called for Gregory who was deep into the play structure already. You pointed your flashlight in Moondrop’s eyes but it only worked for a little while. He was quick to reach you by the security desk. He grabbed your shoulders as he was hovering in the air but as you shut your eyes tightly, waiting for pain or something to happen, nothing did. Moondrop was completely silent, only staring at you when you opened your eyes.
“One of us…” he hissed quietly, eying you. One of them? What was he talking about? You were a human, with flesh and bones, not vires and metal.
“What?” you mumbled still in shock.
“You’re not like… him…” Moondrop said as he lowered onto the ground. You heard Gregory suddenly call for your name, your ears perked up, listening for his voice.
“I turned them on!” Gregory yelled, drawing Moondrop’s attention, who jumped into the air and went towards Gregory’s voice. You jumped behind the desk and pushed the button under the counter. The lights turned back on.
Gregory quickly approached you at the exit by the security desk and you pushed the button that opened the door. There was no Sundrop yet, but as you quickly looked out, you spotted Freddy waiting for the two of you. The others were not yet there which was lucky so you pulled Gregory out and helped him climb into Freddy’s stomach hatch.
“We should find you a recharge station, you don’t look too good, Freddy.” you said as you took in the animatronic bear. He looked… worn? Why did he though? Grabbing his hand, you pulled him in the direction of a recharge station you saw on the way. “Let’s get out of here.”

You were definitely nervous. One: you were not good with kids, you preferred if you weren’t trusted with them to look over. Somehow, you always felt odd around them. Two: looking after a kid in a mall filled with robots trying to hunt said kid down was on another level in difficulty. You were a detective. You were used to danger when you only had to be responsible about yourself, which happened all the time as no one wanted to work with you. Cocking your gun, you led Gregory into the corridor that was supposed to lead to the lobby.
“You have a gun?!” he asked, shocked.
“I’m a detective, I always have a gun on me.” you replied, shrugging your shoulders. “Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.”
“Couldn’t you have used it beforehand?” he asked, making you turn to him with furrowed eyebrows.
“You mean like shooting the night guard?” Pinching the bridge of your nose, you sighed heavily. “Gregory, I cannot just shoot anyone even if they could be a possible threat. Until further evidence, everyone is innocent. Besides, she could be just doing her job. It is illegal that we’re here after hours.”
“But you could shoot the others.” he pouted.
“Only if they attack and even then, I will risk getting sued by the company for ruining their property. I cannot even fathom how expensive these animatronics can be. So I will only ever use my gun if it is inevitable and they threaten my life or yours.” you lectured him. Still there was a defiance in his eyes. You couldn’t blame him though. He was scared and definitely angry at the animatronics for attacking him.
“Okay…” he mumbled. You felt sorry for him but he needed to understand that a gun was not a plaything. Most kids thought that weapons were easy to handle because of the games and tv shows nowadays. Learning to use one was a good thing, but to play around with it and use it unnecessarily was not.
Turning back to the door to the right, you listened to the strange noises coming from the other room. Opening the door, you peaked inside just to see Chica eating… trash? Yuck… You noticed it before but did not say anything about the fact that this place was all shiny and brand new where customers were allowed and extremely low budget and run down where employees were supposed to work and be.
“It’s Chica. Maybe we could distract her with something.” Gregory looked up at you. Furrowing your eyebrows, you quickly looked around, seeing a pile of empty cans. Grabbing a broom that was lying on the ground, you quickly poked them. Chica let out a surprised quack before you heard her heavy footsteps approaching. Ducking away, you pulled Gregory into the bathroom, avoiding Chica’s eyes.
You had an idea. It could be easier for you two to move around if Gregory jumped on your back. Crouching down, you quickly encouraged the kid.
“Come, we could move around quicker. We should stick together.”
Gregory quietly climbed onto your back, circling his arms around your shoulder and neck. You had a strange feeling as you felt his soft breaths hit the back of your neck. It was simply just odd. You had no time however, to dwell on these things and carefully made your way over to the other door. Opening it, you saw Chica’s back to you, standing by the cans staring at them with empty eyes.
You saw them throughout the day, walking around, greeting guests, playing with the kids sometimes. They all looked more sentient, more like they were actual beings. Then why did Chica look and act like she had no real personality? Like she was suddenly reduced to an empty shell, a puppet.
You quietly walked behind her back and quickly made your way down the hallway. You couldn’t risk her spotting you. Reaching a storage room, you could finally breathe. Even though you had a gun and were trained to run, you were always the one hunting down the criminals, not the other way around. On the other side of the storage room was another door that led to another corridor. This whole place was a maze and you had a hard time adjusting.
You took a deep breath and quietly went down the hallway, Gregory holding onto you tightly. Gripping your gun, you went forward until you had to turn right. Suddenly, the alligator animatronic, Monty growled at you two.
“There you are!”
Heart pounding in your throat, you started running until you were spotted by Roxanne. Reaching a door, you kept looking around for something you could close the corridor down but there were only the walls. Suddenly, Chica came out from behind boxes, turning them over as she approached slowly, still looking odd.
“Lost boy over here!” she screeched. You only ran faster, until you reached a stairway. You hated these stairways. They all looked endless and there was a turn every half level. Your thighs were burning from running and jumping up the stairs. You spotted a door that looked sturdy so you jumped inside the room without thought and closed it quickly.
“Well done! You guys found a security office. You should be quite safe here.” Freddy suddenly spoke up from Gregory’s watch. “The doors were designed to keep our highly-trained security staff safe in the event of an emergency. As long as the doors stay closed, which they will, as long as there is ample power…”
“Freddy, there’s only 15% power left and Monty is pounding on the door. How the hell are we gonna get out of here?” you yelled quite frightened. Your heart was pounding in your chest so hard, you thought it would bruise your rib cage.
“Do not panic. You should see an interface on the security desk. Hold on a while, I will make it accessible to you… there.” Nothing happened though, visibly. You trusted Freddy to do whatever needed to be done. Gregory went over to the button that was red and pushed it. You were ready to stop him when Freddy spoke again. “You can now activate security protocols.”
“Gregory, your Fazwatch is now connected to the security camera system. Check the map on your Fazwatch.” Freddy instructed as Gregory tinkered away on his watch. “Those boxes on the mini-map are nearby security cameras. When movement is detected by the camera’s motion sensors, you should see red alert icons. Switch between the cameras to find a safe path out of the office and to the main lobby.”
Gregory jumped back on your back and pointed at the other door on the side.
“Let’s go, Chica is over there somewhere but we can sneak behind her.” he instructed. Turning right on the corridor, you heard her approaching so you made your way around and dodged her eyesight. Finally, you reached a big red door. Opening it, you quickly slid through and took a deep breath. You spotted the lobby with the big neon figures of Freddy, Monty, Chica and Roxanne. You wished they would be all so friendly looking at that moment.
“Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex is now closed. Initiating nighttime protocols.” announced the intercom. Picking up your pace, you ran toward the main entrance, however, the shutters rolled down before you could reach it.
“Wait, wait! We’re still here!” Gregory cried out agitated. You felt him slump on your back defeated. “Now what am I supposed to do?! What are we gonna do?!”
“How unfortunate, Gregory…” Freddy spoke from his watch, his voice clearly sad that he failed to help you out. “But there is still hope. You should be able to escape when the security doors reopen at six a.m. Until then, keep moving and try not to draw attention to yourself. If there’s another way out, I’ll help you guys find it. I promise.”
You weren’t so sure that the animatronic bear could help. Up to this point he did what he could but it seemed fate was against you and Gregory. The gates were closed but you’ve got an entry pass upon entering the place during the day. You needed to find a place inside where you could hide until six a.m. Or find some information to go on with your investigation.

“I’m a detective.”
You blurted out only realizing that it could be a mistake when it was already said. Pulling out your badge, you showed it to Freddy.
“Do a scan and you can find my number in the database if you connect to the internet.”
“It is unfortunate but I cannot connect to anything. I’m experiencing a malfunction at the moment.” Freddy replied, seemingly disappointed that he couldn’t do much. It was strange to interact with a robot but somehow your fear left you when it came to Freddy. He was different somehow.
Then you heard small footsteps approaching. Gregory stood there surprised to see you, quickly pointing his flashlight on you.
“You won’t-”
“I’m not here to do anything with you, kid.” you interrupted him. “I’m looking for someone. I’m a detective.”
“I don’t trust you.” he huffed. You couldn’t blame him though, you wouldn’t trust you either. Showing him your badge, you crouched down and smiled at him.
“I can’t blame you, however, we should be thinking about a way to get out of here. Get you back to your family?”
Gregory had a strange look on his face when you mentioned his family. It left you feeling uneasy, perhaps you mentioned something painful. Suddenly, Gregory furrowed his eyebrows at you and walked closer.
“You look familiar to me.”
“Familiar? Ah, you might’ve seen me around during the day. I’ve been investigating around the place.” you replied. Suddenly, something crashed somewhere nearby making you flinch. “Maybe we should move?”
“We need to get Freddy out of his room first. He can help us find a way out.” he shook his head. Quickly walking around you, Gregory tried to open the side door of Freddy’s room but failed to do so.
“Ah, you’re going to need a photo pass to open the door. Apologies, I assumed you had one already… Well, you should be able to find one at the convenience counter.” Freddy was so polite. Frankly, he was the first person (animatronic or not) who haven’t raised his voice on you after a few words. You pulled out the Photo Pass from your back pocket and swiped it across the panel by the door. It opened with a hiss, letting Freddy out.
“Oh, you had one. Great! Now, I’ll help you get out of here, superstar. Climb back into my chest cavity and let’s get you out of here.” he opened his stomach hatch. Gregory climbed back inside, even though he had doubts it was safe enough. You felt Freddy’s eyes look at you then. “I cannot hide you too, but if you climb on my back, it would be faster that way.”
“Okay…” you sighed unsure if it was a good idea. Jumping on his back, you circled your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist. You decided that getting Gregory out of here should come first and you could come back another day to snoop around. That way, you wouldn’t have to keep watch on him.
Freddy entered a door on the side that led to a stairway. It was a bumpy ride to say the least as he made his way down. As Freddy entered another door at the end of the stairway, he stopped suddenly.
“Gregory, I feel you’re broken.”
Eyebrows furrowed at that. The kid looked fine to you when you saw him but you had little time to take him in. Even though, you cursed yourself for not noticing it.
“Don’t worry about it, I’m fine.”
“No. I feel that something is wrong. I am taking you to the first aid station.” Freddy announced before he suddenly turned to the right and went down corridor after corridor. Gregory tried to protest but you were already in the first aid station. He was almost spit out of Freddy’s chest cavity.
He turned back to Freddy but was interrupted by footsteps echoing from the other side of the hall. You quickly jumped down from Freddy and grabbed Gregory, pulling him behind the red curtain of the first aid station.
“She shouldn’t find us.” you whispered as you pressed him against your body, hiding him behind yourself.
The night guard suddenly walked up to Freddy, flashlight pointed at him. She was closer this time, you could make out her green eyes and petit figure. You had no idea why a woman as fragile as her, was hired as security personnel. You felt that something was fishy about this. The company fired all the real, human workers except her. Why did they, though? Why did they not fire her like they did with the other employees? It was all so suspicious.
“Freddy, you’re supposed to be in lockdown.”
“Officer Vanessa, I do not know how I got here.” Freddy attempted to lie which was a little bit funny and sad at the same time. He was not too good at lying, after all, he was a robot but you appreciated the attempt. Freddy and the others as well looked more alive. They seemed like they had their own minds. Could it be possible?
Nonetheless, you listened carefully while noticing Gregory’s hold on you tightening. You had no idea how the night guard frightened him but you knew something was wrong with her.
“Well, you totally blew it tonight, you know. Your system crashed and you ruined the show. Now, Parts and Service have you on reduced power. They said it’s a safety precaution. Just one more thing to deal with…” she said and you could hear her eye roll.
“I… apologize…” Freddy sounded so sad at the scolding, stirring a strange feeling inside of you. He was not at fault for these things, after all, he had no way of stopping a malfunction. He did not make himself, the technicians should’ve known better, checked him properly before the show. But of course… humans tend to blame everyone and everything else for their own faults. Typical.
“Okay… Look, we’re fifteen minutes from closing and some kid is sneaking around backstage. If you see anything, notify me immediately, I already alerted the others. Now go back to your room.” With that said, she left where she came from. For a few minutes you listened for any footsteps before you stepped out of the booth and let Gregory go.
“I told you, she’s after me.” Gregory huffed annoyed.
“Yeah… she’s the security guard and her job is to not let anyone sneak around after closing time.” you rolled your eyes. “But she’s suspicious though… Why are there no other human employees? The S.T.A.F.F. bots do everything, they need maintenance too. Who is supposed to do all that?”
“The company decided about that, after… an accident with the S.T.A.F.F. bots.” Freddy said, looking like he was not supposed to talk about that. Your eyebrows only furrowed deeper.
“Accident?”
“We don’t have time for that! Let’s go!” Gregory urged. The three of you then made your way even lower in the building. The small hairs on the back of your neck stood up, your body shivering as it was hit with coldness. It was not the usual kind of coldness the wind brought, but was a coldness that chilled people to the bone. It felt eerie.
Then Freddy stopped by the doorway at one point. Turning to him, you both looked up at the large animatronic with confusion.
“Freddy? What’s wrong?” you asked.
“I need to recharge, I cannot go on. I apologize.” he replied quickly going to the recharge station. Something was wrong with his battery because normally, you read that these robots could put up a show for more than five hours. He was definitely badly tempered with, and that left you and Gregory to explore the plex on your own with the other members of the band roaming around, searching for Gregory. Great… Just great.

Rain was pouring down from the sky all day long but it was not bothering you too much after you finally made your way to the new mall especially made for kids. It was like a multiplex of an adventure park, but it was even bigger than you thought it was possible. The police station was on the other side of the district but you knew they wouldn’t be of much help if needed.
Being a female officer, who climbed up on the ladder and became a detective after only five years in the field, was not something your other colleagues were fond of. To say the least, whenever you looked up from your desk, you saw someone eying you with disdain. However, that was not your biggest problem.
Ever since the Pizzaplex opened, children kept on missing and after a while, all the employees were fired due to a mysterious reason. The ex workers were terrified to speak about it and even left the city and the leadership of the company was refusing to say anything on the matter. It all became very suspicious to everyone but you were the only one who signed up for solving this case.
One of the former employees accidentally blurted out one little detail: ‘It’s a place filled with joy when the sun is up, but when night comes… you better stay away…’ Ever since you spoke to that guy, you couldn’t forget the terrified look on his face and how he was searching for something in the corner of his eye like he was sure there was something watching him.
You sighed heavily as you walked around the plex. It was almost closing time, yet there were a few parties still going on. Kids were running around with Fazer blasters in their hands, shooting at the helper bots. You felt sorry for those bots, after all, they were trying to clear the mess up. One of them bumped into a plant and dropped the trash bag and his broom on the floor. The poor thing couldn’t reach the broom properly so you grabbed it quickly and handed it back. You smiled kindly at them which the bot blinked at in reply and murmured a quiet thank you.
The speakers soon announced that the plex was closing in a half an hour which left you with a little bit of time to prepare yourself mentally for tonight. You were terrified of what might await you after closing time. Robots on their own somehow made you feel uneasy, you always felt like they could be just as living beings as you are. You never wanted to offend one though or hurt them, that’s why you helped that helper bot.
Looking around, you slipped into the women’s bathroom and closed yourself into a stall. You waited silently until the voice announced that the plex was closed for tonight and you made sure that your gun was secured on your belt for the last time. Stepping out of the bathroom, you looked around but only the helper bots were going around. They were wearing security vests on them with a flashlight in their hand. You had no idea why several of them were turning around in circles before they finally decided to go in a direction. It was funny how lost they seemed in the place they were supposed to be familiar with.
You decided to look for the offices first. If you wanted to snoop around the basement, you needed a badge or a key for the doors and the only place you could possibly get one was an office. The place seemed empty but you knew that there could be danger anywhere. You found yourself walking down the large room where the animatronics had their own rooms. It was best you stayed in the shadows as you had no idea if they would be friendly or attack you. You heard a few stories about employees and visitors getting attacked by them.
Suddenly, you heard one of them speak. You furrowed your eyebrows and hid behind a large plant, trying to listen in. It was none other than Freddy, the main star of the show.
“Showtime already? I’m experiencing a malfunction. The recharge cycle is not complete.”
“Sssshhh! Will you shut up?!”
“Who said that?” the animatronic sounded surprised. You could see that he was looking around from the opening of the curtain that gave him privacy if needed.
“I did! I’m down here!”
“Down where? I still do not see you!” Freddy kept looking around in confusion.
“Okay listen, you were sleeping, so I opened the stomach hatch and climbed inside.”
“My stomach hatch? That place is reserved for oversized birthday cakes and pinatas! It is not a safe play area!” The bear sounded offended or worried, you had no idea which to be specific. Then you saw his stomach hatch open and a small figure of a child climbed out. Could it be a way that the company kidnapped those missing kids? Hide them in these animatronics and then do whatever they did with them? It could be a business of organ dealers or worse. Your heart pounded in your chest at that thought of the dark web records you once saw. It was not only disgusting but your trust and faith in humanity completely disappeared after that.
“There you are!” Then Freddy scanned the kid with his eyes quickly and continued: “Scanning complete. How odd… Your guest profile is unknown to me. Who are you?”
“I-I’m Gregory.” The kid looked scared now and you couldn’t really blame them, after all, they were barely around 150 cms and that robot was higher than 6 feet.
“Gregory, I will notify the main office. Huh… connection error. I cannot connect to the main network.”
“It’s her! She cut you off. She’s not going to let you call for help until she finds me.” Gregory said. Your frown deepened. This kid could know more about this case, he could be a witness and could give you potential evidence. You needed to talk to him. Then suddenly, you spotted a lightbeam searching around and you decided to hide in a better place. There was a large trash bin which was a better hiding spot than the plant. Quickly ducking behind it, you hid. You thought: the security personnel shouldn’t find you if you wanted to find out what was going on here.
“Who? Who is looking for you? Your mother?” Freddy asked but was quickly chided by the kid.
“I don’t trust her. I don’t know who she is but she’s trying to get me. Isn’t there some other way for you to communicate with me besides talking so loudly?” Gregory asked. The security guard had a blonde ponytail but other than that, you were too far to make out any features. She left the place soon letting you take a relieved breath. You had to find a way to speak to Gregory, maybe he could give you valuable information.
Suddenly, there was too much silence. You looked around again and straightened up. Walking up to the glass to Freddy’s room, you peaked inside which resulted in a small heart attack. Freddy was staring back at you curiously, his eyes staring right into yours.
“H-Hi?” you greeted hoping that he won’t attack you or anything.
“Another trapped guest? Who are you? You’re not in the guest profile list either!”
“Sssshhh, sssshhh, please keep quiet!” you put a finger to your mouth. “I’m a-”
Then you realized maybe it is a bad idea to tell him about your real identity. Or maybe it would be better to be honest.
“I’m a detective.”
