Though it was faint, she could sense the slight uneasiness in the Meister's tone as she spoke about Soul's whereabouts. Maybe she shouldn't have said anything?
Well, time for a subject change.
"Hm, I see... Well maybe, if you aren't busy, we can do something! Just us girls! It's been quite a while since we just did our own thing, don't you think? "
”Wow, Tsubaki… You’re so good at keeping track of things, even for being partners with someone like him.” She didn’t mean any malice that could have been laced within her tone, not at all. In fact, there was more admiration twined into her words than anything.
“Oh, me? Well, Soul’s off at home. I’m not entirely sure what he’s doing, to be honest.” Situations such as this worried her, as she wasn’t certain what Soul was up to. While she disliked his presence when he was annoying her, she disliked it even more when he wasn’t under her watch; where he could do something stupid. Sure, he didn’t normally (unless he teamed up with Black Star), but there were the occasions where he did. She never knew what that scythe could come up with.
“As for myself, I’ve just been studying and reading, like usual. Not much has been going on.”

She lifted her hand in an attempted wave, smiling her usual smile as she walked up to the boy, "Well, I thought you'd be back home by now. I made lunch, weren't we going to pick our next mission af-"
He'd done it again.
"Black*Star! What happened?" She asked, holding up on of his arms, the evidence of yet another fracas had taken place.
"It isn't really wise to pick so many fights, y'know!" She lectured, though her voice was very soft.
☆ The Great Black Star noticed [ scentlessblossom ] ☆
“Oh hey, Tsubaki!” Black Star grinned, running up to his partner. He’d just gotten done beating the hell out of some poor kid that looked at him the wrong way, and surprisingly enough he left with a few bruises and cuts. Oh well, nothing a god like him couldn’t handle.
“What brings you here?”

How odd, he looked so familiar, the white hair, the facial features...
It couldn't be Soul, could it? She was too far away to really tell. As her curiosity got the best of her, she walked over slowly. "Hello there! Don't think i've ever seen you around before, but you sure do look familiar."
Oh no, was that too forward? Maybe she should have introduced herself first. Coming to that conclusion, she straightened her posture and extended her hand out to him. "I'm Tsubaki Nakatsukasa, demon shadow weapon of Shibusen!"
Maybe that will make up for her sudden intrusion on his personal space.

She let a small chuckle escape as she held her hands behind her back. "Despite how it might seem, I do like to try keeping a balance! Though it can get a bit difficult when a certain someone has this spur-of-the-moment need for adventure." She explained, she was a tidy person, often trying to give everything she did a certain time to be done, whether it was school work or even just simply having time to hang out with friends.
Enough about her! The dark haired female was much more interested in how Maka was doing after all, "So what are you up to? Is Soul not with you?"
“I’m glad you’ve come to see me, then.” How surprising for Tsubaki, of all people, to have free time; what with how hard Black Star can drive her. Still, she always seemed to make time for her other friends and her partner.
“You’re pretty good at keeping a balance between friends and practice, even with how driven Black Star is… I wonder how you do it.” She also wondered how she managed to put up with him, not that she would say that aloud. Not at this moment, at least. There were many things about Tsubaki that she admired, and that was one of the many.

“Hm.” That wasn’t exactly a hard question, for the weapon knew very well what brought a smile to her face, even when things got rough.
“I enjoy spending time with my friends when i’m in a lousy mood, or maybe even read something if i’m alone!” She began as she twiddled her thumbs a bit, debating how to word the rest of what she wanted to say.
“Black*Star always knows how to cheer me up as well! His upbeat personality is quite contagious! I really can’t keep myself from smiling when he’s happy!”

It seemed like she wasn't the only one paying her friend a visit!
"Hello, Maka." She began with a polite bow, flashing the girl a bright smile. "Not much really, I've got some free time on my hands and had decided to see what everyone else was up to." She gave a gentle shrug of her shoulders, it wasn't a bad thing, but a little too quiet for her taste.
Then again, maybe she's just conditioned to Black*Star's volume.

”Oh, hey Black Star; hey, Tsubaki. What are you two up to?” Of course, her direction was first pointed to the pair was was familiar with. The other one among them was unfamiliar, and while it was polite to greet newcomers first, she had to admit begrudgingly that she was becoming quite tired of new people that she didn’t know.
“And hello to you, too. You’re an unfamiliar face. I’m Maka Albarn — nice to meet you.” Well, at least she was in a pleasant mood today.
