Salem University
Established in 1888 by a witch named Emily Gray, Salem University is still one of the most prestigious schools in the country. Though once practiced more freely, the witchcraft thrives behind closed doors and in abandoned classrooms in the wee hours of the night. The once controlled environment has recently gotten out of hand, causing the school's witch council to combine the two century old rivalry covens into one in order to avoid conflict. At SU, every student is expected to excel in their classes and extra curricular activities, as well philanthropy. Students will be offered a well rounded education, along with private tutoring options when applicable. Mishap and mayhem are sure to ensue as well as every day teenage drama, but if the students aren't careful, they might realize why Salem is known for it's Witch Trials, something they do not want to face.

Hello roleplayers~
Both A and I miss this roleplay as well as our characters very much. We've decided to reopen this group despite the issues with previous members and the ooc drama they brought. We will be keeping the original bios, but some of the ones we added at a later point in time might not make it to the reboot. Every bio will be updated with more information to help establish pre-determined relationships and covens, as well as background information.
Every character except for Amberlyn Gray, Nate Gray, and Savannah Melrose will be open for auditions. Previous members are free to audition of they'd like, but we make no promises to accept them for the role. We plan on accepting the best person for each role based on an in character para sample. Bios will be reworked and we're bringing in a new coadmin as well as exciting changes.
Salem will be darker than ever, focusing more on magic then relationships, and shit. is. about. to. go. down.

How on earth are your characters so active but you haven't posted in a month? have you got a new main page or something?
The members are dedicated? I'm honestly surprised that they stuck around after we officially closed. They're more active now than they were before we closed, but there is a new main page that is not active yet because the revamp is in progress.
I'm now without a coadmin and I've been very sick and dealing with health issues and lack of internet issues all while revamping and rewriting all the bios to get them updated and all that fun stuff. Keep an eye out~

By popular demand, Salem University is coming back, bigger and better than ever. More than a dozen of our previous members petitioned for the roleplay to come back officially, and we couldn't find it in our hearts to say no considering how much we ourselves miss it. There will be a new roleplay blog with a new theme, new characters, and most excitedly, a brand new plot that picks up after we left off a month ago. The new plot fits with old plots, but will add in a whole new aspect of the game. In order for this to work, we will need participation from all previous members and new ideas as well (even if you weren't previously in the group) because we want this to be the best it can be. Your voice counts. There will be even more magical mischief than before, as well as your typical university drama. Please send us a message if you would like to play your old character again when we do the revamp. You can a) choose not to come back, b) choose to play your own character, or c) take on a new character if you wish. However, any character that is not taken by it's previous player is subject to possible removal because we want the characters and bios for the revamp to be fresh and new. We appreciate your patience and we do love you guys a lot, and we're just as excited as you are to bring Salem back to life! The dash is already crazy active again which warms our hearts. All previous plots are still canon, and may continue at your own discretion. Happy roleplaying.

It's been a hard decision, but we've decided to shut down Salem.
If one of our players that is still active wants to take over, let us know.
Admin E has tried to revamp, and without much interest, there isn't much to go on. We've tried to advertise, and she has even went as far as to finish all the pages that had gone under construction. It's a very hard decision, but we think it's for the best. As I (admin A) am in my first year of college, and with Admin E's crazy work schedule, it's just not possible for us to keep the roleplay under wraps, and even though it's not active enough for us to say that, it's still difficult to hold it under our belt.
We're very sorry for the inconvenience, but it was going to happen eventually.
To the players who want to continue roleplaying under the grounds of Salem, like I said, just message the main and discuss with us on how you'd keep Salem up and running. We'd be glad to give you the information for log in.
