A Mother's Love
A mother's love is like a blanket
it's there when you need it
It's there when you are cold
It's there when you are scared
It wraps around you
it gives you warmth
It gives you comfort
It gives you assurance
But like a blanket, it can be
Forgotten
It can be taken for granted
It can be misused
Take care of that love
A Mother's Love is Better than
An ordinary blanket
A Mother's Love comes from Heaven above

All the times we talk
All the times we talk
Never do you think to mock
Never do you refuse to listen
At times I get a feeling of frisson
Right when I'm ready for bed
Albeit, I rather talk to you instead
Underneath the great big sky
Behold, You show up to say Hi.

Vacay Day 1
Taking a few days off , I'm visiting family and brought along a sketch book and some games.
My first day being here ( The day before I write this) we went to a duck park, but all birds are welcomed. A lady stopped me and asked if it was ok to home a turtle in the lake.
I've been to parks like this in my area and know that turtles love to swim around there. Using my past knowledge of fun having, I said yes. My family and I let a good size turtle free in the lake, and in a few minutes it was making friends.
Later that day we went to McDonald's, had a quick lunch. Then we played Apples to Apples. It was a fine first day of vacation.

Warmed up today by drawing a MegaMan StarForce character
I drew Laplace to warm up, it was suggested by @lastmurianwarrior
It was pretty fun drawing this character, I used some reference photos to get everything right.
Next time, I'll try a different pose or angle. I did turn one of the sketches into a sketch card!
Thank you #Lastmurianwarrior for the suggestion!

Anthology Blues
2 Weeks before March , a friend and I decided to start our own comic anthology. The Anthology Blues set in pretty quick after that.
Initially I planned on blogging about my process for a comic story I had in mind. Many things changed since then. I decided to document the experience I had.
From day 1 there were problems and misunderstandings. Problems and challenges are a part of life, This wouldn't be my first anthology. It would be the first one I would be leading, even if it was as a Co-Leader. Heck , That still isn't too bad! With leadership comes responsibilities, I was given the position as E.I.C aka
Editor In Chief.
My fellow anthology partner and I had different ideas, I realized quickly that We rushed into a huge project without discussing it for longer than 20 minutes. That was the first mistake.
LESSON 1. Even if you think it's the best idea you have, let it simmer for awhile before you jump into something you're not ready to handle.
In those few minutes, we made anouncements, promises, and spur of the moment decisions.
Lesson 2. Have a plan A. ,plan B. And plan C, if possible, a Plan D too.
We spent too much time on insignificant things, that I ended up losing momentum and even desire to make a comic. We had no plans, we had barely a guideline.
Those were just 2 lessons I learned from this experience.

We Built This City Warm Up Sketch
I was listening to music on YouTube and We Built This City was one of the songs that auto-played. I of course, decided to sketch out a city made up of giant speakers. I am going to assume that the occupants of this city are either deaf or wearing headphones and eat plugs 24/7 !

The inability to rely on others without feeling like a burden
you're spending way too much time trying to find an explanation for everything you do and think, aren't you? you feel like all of the answers have to come from inside of you, since that's the role you've grown into. from the outside, people think you have it together. they see your open arms as invitation, and therefore keep leaning on you. at first, it was okay, since you wanted to help. but slowly, you're being dragged further and further down. you need help, too. but you're supposed to be there for everyone else. you're the one they go to when they're struggling. you've put everyone else first, and now you feel like you can't allow others to know that you need help. please, stop telling yourself you're fine. deep down, you know you aren't. things don't have to be this way. you can let those people in. if anything, they will be grateful that you reached out. can you imagine how nice it'd feel to take a break from dealing with this all on your own?

Deathaversaries
I belong to a support group, I volunteer there every week on Tuesdays. One of the things I learned, a few years ago, Is that everyone has a "Trauma Anniversary" , certain months that are triggers for emotional distress aka Depression.
I'm not a fan of wallowing in depression, but it is important to acknowledge these anniversaries. Not to make your self depressed or use it as an excuse to be miserable, but to combat depression head on.
February is the Deathversary of my mother, she passed away in February 2020. Her birthday was in January, and then there's May coming up. 3 "Trauma Anniversaries" all connected to one person.
I try to keep these things private, but I don't like to bottle everything up. I know my mother is in a better place with no pain, but man do I miss her.
February also has other events connected to it, I'm not talking about Valentine's Day. But close, since it connects to people I love and care for but can't be with them right now or as much as I'd like to be.
Mostly birthdays of people that mean something to me, but they live farther away than I'd like.
At least for them, I can still send them stuff for their birthday. Am I depressed? Sometimes, but I try not to let it control me or dictate what I do. It's not always easy, but I'm not looking for easy. I'm looking for possible!

What to do with this?
What will I be using this account for? I've been mulling it over and decided that I will post my random thoughts in form of a blog, from time to time I will upload art that I have been working on. It could be Wips or finished artwork.
I'm open to RP and doing some SFW art requests.
Let's see where this takes me!
