Comic Update

I'm working on Page 5 of the Chaggie comic but I was a horrid creature and didn't get as much work as I wanted done these past few days because I kept falling asleep! I normally work on art late at night cause my work shift is 10am - 7pm. Still hoping to get page 5 out for Monday! Here's a couple little Charlies.

Also I noticed that if someone reblogs a page, it doesn't reflect changes I make afterwards, so I'm wondering if anyone saw an old reblog and didn't know there was a new page? Is there preferred method to post comics here on tumblr or is there a better website I should be hosting this on? Let me know!

Can't believe this thing is about to hit 3k notes, thank you all! For anyone that likes this sort of thing, here's some progress shots of when I was making it. I always forget to record my stuff nowadays so this is the next best thing, but I always love seeing the creation process of when people make art.

Birthed as a funny little thumbnail

Blowed up big sized and cleanup, eventually I decided to expand the image to computer monitor aspect ratio since I wanted to add a bigger background and potentially make it my new wallpaper. Charlie, the monster, and Niffty weren't originally part of it.

Ambient Occlusion/Shading over the cleanup, then flat colors laid beneath. Once I was at that stage I realized these wings look AWFUL, I should google some reference shots of birds, lol. Fun stuff!

IT IS DONE. I am very proud of this damn drawing, I hope you all like it!

I want to draw just a Charlie next.

Expressions practise got a bit out of hand lol

Ok so this maybe a little out of character, what with the way her self hatred affects things and since in the aftermath of her identity reveal in episode six she’s more concerned with the fall out between her and Charlie, but I wanted to explore the anger and hurt that Carmilla’s line “I know you’re thirstin’ for vengeance, Vaggie, you’re out for blood!” alludes to, so like, say at some point the Hotel crew is asking about her history, demanding the explanation she’s kept locked in her chest for years for fear of rejection and reprisal, and three years of silent anger at those who hurt her so terribly, and continue to slaughter sinners, years of quiet hurt, years of lying awake wondering, years of “whys” spoken only to the darkness, years of fury and hurt and betrayal and rage just comes pouring out of her
