Magical realism AU!!

You know that "getting to know you" montage in the movie, where Henry magically appears next to Alex a few times? Okay it's like that, but he ACTUALLY appears.

Sometimes, Henry just...magically appears in front of Alex and is able to talk to him. Except, he's not actually THERE there? He's still physically in England, but is somehow magically tethered to Alex which makes him also able to appear near him -- like a projection.

Soulmate au - you can see how much longer your soulmate has to live. Henry is a surgeon who realizes his soulmate is about to die. Henry, having never met his soulmate, resigns himself to never meeting them. Then, in the middle of his shift, he’s asked to perform surgery on a young man with serious injuries. During the surgery, the young man flatlines. Henry, determined to not force anyone else to go through the same pain he’s about to, does everything in his power to save the man. When the man is revived, Henry realizes his soulmate just got a bunch more years.
