Ever wonder what the inside of an iPod Classic looks like? Here’s mine. Well minus the original hard drive. That’s flash memory you see. I had to replace the battery. Today, despite being @tmhalliday birthday, she let me attend the Albany @recordriotsrock . Out of respect I stayed less than an hour. My two favorite finds are featured here. First is @lydia.lunch.official “Stinkfist” which I already own on CD, but really wanted on vinyl as well. Second is the single “Kookie, Kookie, Lend Me Your Comb.” It’s one I’ve sought for 20 years and it was even in original picture sleeve(I wasn’t even expecting to find one with the sleeve). Other finds includes Lydia Lunch and Thurston Moore “The Crumb”, “The Boys Next Door”(basically the precursor to “The Birthday Party”… and a few singles. Amongst the singles I bought were a few Shangri-las discs on Red Bird, Johnny Cash “A Boy Named Sue”, and Lavern Baker “Jim Dandy.” Great time. First of the Christmas kits broken into and I’ve finished Rudolph. He’s so tiny. I just love him. Yes the eyes are pointing too far back I misjudged where the pattern called for them. But I love how he came out. You can’t tell in the photo but he even has little buns of antlers! Next up the Train from the Frosty kit. The kit doesn’t come with yarn fir the train but it looks too cool to not be my next one. My main gift from my wife. What a surprise this one was! It’s the Tori Amos Piano box set from Rhino. Five disc set in a beautiful box. I’ve wanted this for some time but they are hard to find complete and in good shape and can be expensive. When I opened the box my first thought was it was a keyboard accessory for something my son has(gaming system or phone)... I asked my wife who it was for. She said I obviously didn’t know what I was looking at. My jaw must have dropped as I realized what it was. Definitely a very exciting gift! Sharing this early… My latest crochet project. It’s a granny square cardigan that I got the pattern off Etsy. Pattern calls for 18 squares but in trying to resize it I made 20. I’m putting it all together and realizing I may need two more squares. I feel so close to finished but I’m really not. I haven’t been keeping track but I would guess I have 50 hours into this so far. This is intended as a anniversary gift for my wife but I really wanted it finished by this past weekend do she could have worn it when we got together with my sister and her family. My next project. Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas. I’m working on Sally first. Jack is going to be harder due to his thin limbs and I hate working with black yarn as I can’t see the stitches as well in black. The kit only comes with yarn for the two of them but has patterns for ten other characters. I ordered glow in the dark yarn to use for Oogie Boogie. It’s white so he won’t look like a burlap sack like he’s supposed to. But he’ll glow which is much cooler. Dark Dungeons. Classic religious tract by Jack Chick. This one is very famous. It tells the story of how Dungeons and Dragons is dangerous. One girl kills herself and another joins a witches coven. This is from the 1980s and is so old the staple is rusting. It’s very fragile. . . There was a similar film in the 80s called Mazes and Monsters in which Tom Hanks had his first starring role. That’s how popular fear of D&D was. So thrilled to have this in my collection. Orders from @curiouscollectionsvinylrecords I’ve had so great luck ordering from them in the past and they did not let me down this time either. The is The Gold Experience by Prince. The first album he released under his unpronounceable symbol. It’s my second favorite of his albums and I’m so excited to own this on vinyl. This release is on two discs in clear yellow. It has black inner sleeves. My only disappointment is being a two Lp set that it was not in a gatefold cover. And as always I love the sticker on the mailer alerting the letter carrier know it’s heat sensitive… they always leave it in the Son anyway.
