Let’s talk. 2020 was crazy. This photo was from my engagement party in January 2020. One of my all time favorite photos. I am not engaged anymore & I have no regrets. It’s life. It is what it is. My lesson from 2020 was about my self respect & happiness. Thank you to everyone who reached out to me this year & gave me support & love to move forward with my life. There were so many messages from people I know & people I do not know telling me that they wished they never married the person they are with. People tell me that they are so afraid break off their relationship/marriage because of what others will say & what their reputation will become. My happiness & self respect is way more important than any person’s opinion. & I know this happens mostly to females in many cultures. & this has been stuck with me all year...it’s sad to see so many people are settling when they can be happier with their life. I’m not saying end every relationship you are in as soon as something goes wrong. But know your worth, speak up for yourself, & don’t settle. Do not allow anyone to disrespect or mistreat you - that goes for the person you choose to spend the rest of your life with & their family. Respect yourself.
