Will you ever have Lochlan move on since the writer of his wife has vanished? Asking for a friend...

Isolde’s player never disappeared. Life simply took over and irl should -always- come before rp, and considering how hectic my own life can be, I can hardly fault an rp partner their own. She’s dealing with a new life, and she knows I love and support her and couldnt be happier for things to come down the road for her.

However it leaves little to no time, or inspiration, to write Isolde. I had initially planned on retiring Lochlan with her, and even tried to. But I had some very persistent friends asking for little rp’s with him that turned into big ones, and I made the decision to bring him back in a new capacity. Isolde’s player and I have discussed it and we have decided to set Lochlan and hers story as an AU. Giving the character her happy ending and the opportunity to return if ever she finds the want and the time to do so, and Freeing Lochlan up for new stories and adventures in a new branch.

I’m not normally one for AU’s, but in a situation such as this where it’s likely the character wont return (but could,) it allows us both our freedom without pressure or worry on eachother.

So yes, Lochlan is moving forward.

“Doesn’t really matter who they are,” came the husky, exotic voice from behind him. She didn’t look exactly pleased. “Because they won’t have the chance.” Her head tilted to the side and a raven colored brow lifted upward in challenge.

I've wanted to make you smile in the small hours of the morning and see how your happiness looks lit up by the sunrise.

“Have you?” Lochlan arched a brow, folding his arms over his chest. “Not many truly care about such things… though I’m curious who you are.”

She was still licking the lemon from her fingers as she slowly backed away from him, eyes alight with mischief. It seemed she was moving toward... their bed.

“Revenge? Have I tought you nothing from my past? Revenge only makes your soul weak. The best revenge is to be unlike those who have wronged you.”

Pale, marred fingers wiped along her pants now. She was finally back into her regular clothing and doing regimens again, her body losing baby weight rather quickly and gaining that muscle tone once more.

“But I suppose if you wanted to try for revenge, I’m up for the battle.” Their baby began to cry, and Isolde slowly smirked toward Lochlan. “After you get her a fresh diaper...”

The warm breath of a whisper reaches his ears. “I ate your lemon pastry.”

Lochlan smirked softly, tilting his head at the whisper before looking over his shoulder with a mock gasp. “Thief!” He sunk to his knees dramatically. “Oh…what a world! How can I go on?!”

Of course, there was only one person who could be so dastardly evil, who knew one of his biggest weaknesses. “I will have my revenge, my White Rose… just you wait.” Lochlan winked playfully.

“ Why does it always just have to be three… There are many men I find attractive, while there might be more I find than others I never want to make a list. Yet… if you must know, here are a few that I do find very attractive. Of course, there is Leon,  the man that I find hard to not look at. Caring, open-hearted. “ Then Loc takes the cake on the next slot. I mean if you haven’t seen this man then you are missing out. Heart of gold, a smile that could charm anyone looking hard at him. He just a man, that I care for greatly. I never feel like he doesn’t have my back in all the trouble I get into.”

Lastly, since you are making my choice only there, and not last when it comes to my mind. Is Ranek, yes while he and I rarely get to see each other or do much with how..far our paths are going right now. I still think he is a very attractive man, those eyes that just grab you in. His wit that makes you laugh too hard before shaking your head knowing just how bad his jokes are some times. I can’t wait to see him when I get to Boralus.”

With life settling down... @waroftwowolves ... we should have a wedding lol.

Here’s hoping that you have an enjoyable and growth-filled 2019! What is one thing you wanna see happen irl? And what is one thing you would love to see happen to your character(s)?

[OOC: I love this blessing, and hope that this next year brings you growth and happiness, my friend. 

As for what I’d love to see happen for Teren? That’s difficult to break down, because the BFA/BFL (for Nishanians) produced so many reasons for him to remain within the borders of the Nishan Federation for much of the foreseeable future. 

Having said that, there are several long-term storylines, that I’m particularly excited to participate in:

- I’m *crazy* excited for the Soulhaven Storyline; which will eventually force Teren and his Seneschal, Ync Ubu, to make some very difficult decisions regarding not only their own futures, but those of the Sayaad under their respective authorities.

- Teren is in the process of establishing an organization in conjunction with Adilynia and Maladir Silverfall ( @adilynia​ & @silverfall-patriarch​ ) that will help strengthen the @ironbound-praetorium​ as a whole; which I’m also very excited to delve into once the OOC work is done on it.

Shorter-term storylines I’m hugely looking forward to at the moment are not entirely my own, but will almost certainly include Teren and others he loves: 

- I’m definitely looking forward to the upcoming weddings. (His and Lycan’s to Adilynia Silverfall (soon to be Kiden,) and his Daughter Annest’s (eventually) to Baron Ja’nin Ninro (another Nishanian Lord.)

- It would be fantastic to see where the upcoming storyline for @karrista​ ends up leading, and how it eventually impacts him as her Foster Father.

- I’m very interested in returning Teren to his research into Worgenism and the Blight - the latter of which is particularly prominent in his mind due to the fact that so much of it was released - while not near Nishan - across a vast swath of land, flora and fauna which - contaminated - could eventually become a danger to his people.

- Finishing out the year’s-in-the-making Storyline for the return of Teren’s children,Taj and Eirlya Nishan. For twenty IC years and nearly 5 OOC years, he’s believed they died with their Mother, Elif Nishan, during the Scourge Invasion by some opportunistic Cultist. He’s recently learned that the ‘opportunist’ was a fellow Lord of Nishan, and the fires of vengeance are about to get lit.

- @catrain-toys​: Her dolls are magnificent, and I’m looking forward to taking Teren and his grandchildren out shopping to visit her frequently, as he’s certainly one to invest in the recovery of his people, but great and small. It may seem like a small RP to invest in, but Teren is 100% a family man, and treasures every opportunity he has to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

Encouter RP’s I’ve been trying to squeeze in time for with several non-Nishan-related Muses include: 

- A picnic with @stonestridernerd‘s Kennocha is high on my list of encounters to make time for once things have settled down a bit for Teren.

- RP with @kat-lockhart on the Worgenism Research front (Once I’ve had an OOC opportunity to re-compile the lost material from Teren and Rementhil’s previous storyarc on the subject.) She has an excellent approach to the condition, and I’m eager to participate. Several threads have been backed up due to the holidays, and this particular SL is one of them. But, the intent and desire to return to it remain strong with this one.

- I’d love to have Teren visit with his niece, Scassira and her Paramour/Husband (did they marry?) to meet the new baby and offer his beneficent and overly grandiose gifts to the little one. (Also, of course, the continuation of the Mark of Kiden.) While unlikely due to the retirement of the three muses ( @scassira-archives and @waroftwowolves ) I miss RPing with them, and all the sass.

- I’m also hoping to find an IC opportunity for my Rogue to visit with a certain glow-in-the-dark former Warden (*coughs* @elyza-morrowbranch *coughs) because she’s literally the only one I know who can get along with that caustic bitch. :)

- Any opportunity to RP with @olivia-lovecraft, @risrielthron, @kelladen and @huntsman-hawthorne have my vote. They’re fabulous all-year-long.

- And, of course, on-going RP threads with my usual Tumblr crew: @maluraunderchild, @summerbloom-fae, @adilynia, @karrista @daughterofkiden, @marquis-lycan-kiden is always welcome.

General RP I’d like to make time for, but haven’t yet gotten around to (hardly ever, in the last two years) would include: 

- I’d like to position Teren out in the world often enough to establish additional trade with merchants throughout Azeroth. (Goods/services/etcetera.) 

- I’d love, love, *love*, to get him out for more Req (Reliquary Hunter for non-Nishanians) work. Running down signifiant artifact threats and fighting for acquisition/containment/research/destruction opportunities.

(So, you know, if anyone is looking for an excuse to connect with Teren, these are excellent ways to get it done.)

Despite the length of this list, however, there are a lot of SL’s already in place or in development that will (hopefully) carry forward for many years worth of RP to come. So, yes, there are other more extroverted endeavors I’d like to squeeze in if at all possible, but I’m prioritizing those that are already in place, or breadcrumbed so that my Co-Writers can continue to enjoy the adventures we’re sharing.)

Top five fictional ships [if you are an RP blog, you can use your own ships as well]

#5 - @scassira-archives and @waroftwowolves - Having had the pleasure of rping with these two on my Engraver gave me a lot of personal insight into their relationship that was just breathtaking. One was a cold hearted killer at some point and on a redemption arc. The other, a grizzled soldier with an unshakable sense of honor. I’m glad they found their happy ending.

#4 - Going to give this one a tie and it is my own toons. First, we have @tirasiansails and @calling-gull this ship is such a great thing to watch as they struggle with not making the same mistakes of the past. She loves him but she is still so angry over having lost eight years with him due to believing he was dead. The struggle there is real. Then there is @gloryofsteel and @eidrich-crone . These two kids, let me tell you.. their dynamic shouldn’t work but it DOES. She never wanted to fall in love and he never thought anyone could love him. One was always a weapon. The other was always a tool. I never get tired of either of these ships.

#3 - @subjectragnar @alas-ward While I have never interacted with these toons, I can say that I have admired watching their stories unfold from a safe distance. A VERY safe distance. Two psychos head of heels for each other, murdering together? Who doesn’t love that? Couples who slay together - stay together.

#2 - This one is a friend ship and also my own. @emma-tidesinger and @priscilla-adams are likely one my favorite friend-ships out there. I absolutely adore the sassy yet sweet dynamic between them. They are both socially inept but in their own unique ways and it is just such a blast to watch them interact. Along with this is the ‘friend’ ship with @cesarefaustewra and Pris. This man really knows how to break through her walls and force her to take a good hard look at herself which she really doesn’t like to do. His skills as a physician, mortician and, more recent, his knowledge in magic have kept her going back to see him more and more. Then let’s as the work-ship with @eldridgecandell and Pris. The man positively loves to take jabs at her and she knows it. She drives him crazy with her constant ‘prattling’ as he calls it and she just doesn’t care. They are complete opposites in how they approach their work with the Order but it really - WORKS- for them.

#1 - The Stalsworths! @elaianna and @thomasstalsworth are by far my favorite couple to read about and interact with. There are so many layers to this relationship I’ve lost count a long time ago. Their dedication to each other is unsurpassed by any other couple in my eyes ( sorry guys - I’m biased). I love that he is a commoner and she is a noble and they’ve made it work. 

BONUS- Honorable mentions

@theengraver and @vaerinis - romantic ship. It is sickening sweet so much so, they give me a tooth ache. We should shake things up. Amber’s sweet friendship with @mremaknu  ‘s Leon is also one of my favorite things. We rarely rped up until recently but their dynamic just works. He compliments her naivety with his pearls of wisdom and she keeps him smiling with her constant optimist attitude about life.

He beat me to it.

Scassira is retiring for good.

It was a hard decision to make, but it was one we both chose would be best for our characters, and not because we wanted to, but because circumstance and mindsets are just not in the right places in order to continue their story right now. 

You can find me and Lochlan on our muses @pyravari and @thebladeitself ... or me on @jacob-holt. 

I thank you all for the years of stories. And who knows, maybe these two will pop up again some day. 

And they lived happily ever after…

Well everyone, it’s been a great ride filled with laughter, sadness, and a huge amount of character growth, but there comes a time when we need to sit back and let our characters have a happy ending.

Scassira’s player (@scassira ) and I have been talking, and through mutual agreement and with heavy hearts, we have decided that Lochlan and Isolde deserve their happily ever after, to live their lives with their children and finally put their blades down.

Will they be back? Who knows, but for now, Lochlan is officially retired.

I’ll be keeping this blog for random things that inspire me, and in case we decide to kickstart our story again. That being said, I will be found on Declan (@bourbonandbadluck ) and follows for him will come from this blog.

Thank you for the rp, the asks and memes and most importantly, the friendships. Feel free to pop in and say hi to Declan, who isnt a grumpy swordsman, but hopefully someone who can make you chuckle.

Ship questions (au of course): Lochlan and Susan

1. Made the first move: God forbid there be a time where Lochlan and Isolde ultimately break up, or never were (fuck off thats a brilliant pairing of peeps there), but if there were such an au… I believe Lochlan would be the one to make the first move. But in a dorky way, like where he’d dress up as a cupid angel, throw a plush love arrow at Susan’s head then immediately show her a picture of him lookin’ finer than wine, so she’ll fall in love with the first thing she see’s.

Or something equally dorky.

2. The big spoon: Susan. No competition.

3. The little spoon: See big spoon! You know what that means? Susan’ll wrestle Loch into being little spoon - and then maybe she gets hurt alil, whines and whimpers and guilts him into fetal position.

4. The cuddler: I think Susan may have found a challenger to take her reigning crown as cuddler this time around. I feel it deep in my soul that Loch would cuddle as much as possible – like he wouldn’t even be moderately irritated when Susan just spider monkey’s him at random. Just curls his arms around her, kisses her forehead (if able) and resumes with whatever he was doing.

5. Cries during movies: Unless it’s a movie where the animal dies (98% certain they both would cry), or its a sarcastic kinda sobbing (Lochlan might do that in a joking manner)… Neither of them.

6. More affectionate: It may depend on the situation, in which Lochlan might win this honor, but what I can be certain is it’s Susan – though she’d be most affectionate in private.

7. Their favorite non-sexual activity: I believe they’d be the kinda couple who trains together. Just out in the field doing sword play, in a gym practicing hand-to-hand combat, or out at the shooting range making use of their guns/bows.

Maybe thats just me.

8. More nervous to meet the parents: Like every fucking ship prompt I’ve done, these two dont seem to be the kinda people who give a crap for the opinions of the other’s family. Susan isnt dating his parents, Lochlan isn’t dating her mom.

The only opinions that matter is eachothers of eachother.

9. More protective/jealous: I believe this is an equal sortta thing.

I kinda think Lochlan would be protective? I dont believe he’d really accept her choice in remaining in her career as a Madam, so he may get jealous easily if he happens upon seeing her with a customer.

Susan would be super jealous and protective, because he’s hot, so much of a goof that he reminds her of her late boyfriend Tomen, and he’s just over all a good guy.

So she’ll cut a bitch’s throat open without hesitation if they try to rub up on her fella.

10. Sneaks into the shower with the other in the mornings: … Lochlan.

11. Initiates sexy times the most:  I think it depends on the kinda day they’re having. It could very well be equal.

12. Fuck or make love: Make. Love.

13. Behind the wheel more often during road trips: That’s all Lochlan. Susan’ll be too busy bitching in the passenger seat while trying to read the map.

14. Gives the silent treatment when they’re mad at each other: Susan. She’s just petty and easily made angry, so while the silent treatment is an attempt to punish her beau, it’s also her attempt to calm down so she can return to the conversation to discuss the issue rationally.

15. Reaches for the other’s hand first: Loch. I feel like he’d do it just cause he understands that she enjoys small, intimate moments like that, but doesn’t wanna bother her sweetums with such things.

16. Whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear at inappropriate times: I think it’s gonna be the both of them. They’d make a game of it, really.

17. Comes up with cheesy pick-up lines: Lochlan. He’s a cheeky kinda guy who seems to make jokes and tease alot. Cheesy pick up lines just seems like his kinda thing.
