Fantasy Life House Decoration Challenge: March
Prompt: Fancy/Elegant/Royal theme.
I don’t have much to say about this one. I do love the royal furniture set and I like how this room turned out but all things considered it’s a pretty basic arrangement.
I will say that I’ve never liked the royal carpet very much, geometric patterns kinda hurt my eyes don’t ask me why.

Fantasy Life House Decoration Challenge: February
Prompt: Nature theme. You can make your house look like a rustic cabin, a farm or even a garden or a forest or whatever you can think off.
This was simultaneously my favourite and least favourite prompt because I love making nature themed houses but that also means that I already used all my good ideas in the existing houses that I posted for January and only really had the forest furniture set left to use.
It did feel a bit boring to just fill a room with a pre determined set obtained during normal gameplay but I still really like the result. The forest set is still one of my favourites, it's so peaceful. (Side note I love the Elderwood village theme so much it just fills me with tranquility and it harmonizes perfectly with the look of the village. It honestly made me really emotional when I first played the game as a kid.)

I must not gatekeep video games.
Gaming elitism is the fun-killer.
Gatekeeping is the little-death that brings total obliteration of enjoyment and community.
I will face my delusions of superiority.
I will permit them to pass over me and through me.
And when they have gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the Elitism has gone there will be nothing. Only a supportive gaming community will remain.

THEME LIST
FANTASY LIFE HOUSE DECORATION CHALLENGE
Here's the list of themes I've come up with:
January: Home. Take a photo of your home in FL as it looks now
February: Nature theme. You can make your house look like a rustic cabin, a farm or even a garden or a forest or whatever you can think off.
March: Fancy/Elegant/Royal theme.
April: Seasonal theme. Make your house give seasonal vibes of the season of your choice
May: Room of a character. Choose a Fantasy Life character (or someone from another game/movie/book/etc) and imagine what their room would look like.
June: Make your house look like a store or restaurant!
July: Beach/Ocean theme.
August: Recreate a scene from a game/movie/book/etc.
September: Show off! What items are your favorites, or you're the proudest of? Use all those trophies proof of all your achievements and use them to decorate your house or turn it into a museum!
October: Spooky theme!
November: Festivity of your choice. Decorate your house using a festivity of your choice as your inspiration.
December: Home again! Take a photo of your home as it looks now, to see how much it's changed with all the ideas and items you got
Bonus themes
In case you don't have enough items or any good ideas for one of the monthly themes, you can instead do one of these:
Set-centric: decorate your house using only items from one set
Monochromatic: decorate your house using only items of 1 or 2 colors
Try to recreate your room irl in FL
Try to recreate the room of one of your characters in other videogames in FL
Decorating tips!
Some special items in the game (including some cool furniture) can only be obtained via typing a certain password in the post office. If you didn't know about this, look it up! The rewards will come very in handy for the decoration challenge
You can dye some furniture by going to Florina's House in the West Grassy Plains and speaking with Lily Lips.
Other stuff
If anyone can come up with more themes, feel free to suggest them in the comments of this post
Since we're already into January, that's why I'm making the first theme to take a pic of your house now!
The furniture selection in FL is more limited that other games such as Animal Crossing, that's why I avoided to have as a main theme decorating using only a certain set and went for themes that would require the use of lots of different types of furniture
Besides the usual tags, I'll also be using the tag #FLHDC if anyone else that participates also wants to add that tag to their posts!
I'm going to tag in a comment in this post the people that were interested! (sorry for the @ hehe)

Fantasy Life House Decoration Challenge: January
Prompt: "Home. Take a photo of your home in FL as it looks now"
While I only decorated the manor for the other themes I decided to post all of the player homes from my most advanced file for this first month.
I haven't played this file in months so my reasoning for some of these eludes me.
Castele (Manor) with all my trophies/mementos and some royal furniture.
Puerto with a classic port theme.
Al Maajik, pretty sure I just dumped all the special items here (side note I hate this flooring and I know I always have so I don't know why it's here).
Elderwood, clearly an abandoned work in progress.
Levitania/Terra Nimbus has a farm theme, I'm particularly proud of this one even though this and the next one made my options for the nature theme a bit more limited because I didn't want too much repetition.
Origin Island is garden picnic themed also pretty proud of this one though it did make my design for one of the later themes feel a bit repetitive.
That's the first month done! The other post definitely won't be nearly as long, that's why I'm posting this so last minute but I'm looking forward to the rest of the year!
Check out the theme list here!

Me: yeah whatever. I don’t feel shit.
5 minutes later: dude I swear I just had a nightmare about shooting my father.
My buddy Phoenix pacing: the parrot is lying to us
