Girl group 2NE1 turned into unique tribal girls in their recent photo shoot. Recently, 2NE1 filmed a photo shoot with the fashion magazine VOGUE where they put on African tribal face paint and wore colorful outfits, posing with traditional African instruments. As 2NE1 is a fashion icon that the world has under the spotlight these looks were imported from other countries. 2NE1 stated, "Because we've been together for almost everyday for 10 years now, more than doing something special together we feel like we're just living life together." CL said, "I think it's fate that such unique people who were living their own lives somehow gathered under the name 2NE1." This photo shoot and interview can be found in the May edition of VOGUE Korea.

2ne1 and girls' generation are the only kpop groups who are able to be part of the chart for this week (from april 27th to may 3rd). On this week's myx hit chart. On this week’s MYX Hit Chart, the two rival KPop girl groups were able to maintain on top ten. 2NE1 and Girls’ Generation are the only KPop groups who are able to be part of the chart for this week (from April 27th to May 3rd). 2NE1′s ‘Come Back Home‘ landed on the 2nd spot after being on top last week. It’s on the chart countdown for seven weeks already. On the other hand, Girl’s Generation’s ‘Mr.Mr‘ managed to be on 4th spot, after landing its peak at number one and being part of the chart for six weeks. MYX is a Filipino cable television network that features both local (called as OPM songs) and international songs and music videos. It started in 2000. 2NE1 Popular News “A woman like you.. the other people, I think I know why the staff compliments and enjoys working with them” After releasing their 2nd full album and music videos, they went on music shows and their schedule got unbelievably busier and tiring. I meet 2NE1. Because they’re close with Jeremy Scott, soon afterwards, they were able to work with NYLON (US) editor-in-chief and photographer, Marvin. He also got closer to CL and like the oldest sister, she made the vibe amicable and even took care of the staff. After they started the shoot, as if reviving the mood, 2NE1 changed to funky attires and carried on. CL who was very interested in fashion, gained more inspiration through Marvin’s advice and she was like the stylist. As if they were at theirconcert stage, they took over the shooting venue. They danced and sung at the venue, freely. With different vibes everyday, they showed elegant poses. Recently, through the energy they received during their concerts, they expressed it through their outfits. All of the members participated, and as one team, making perfect shoes (not sure what “making perfect shoes” means) was possible because they’re 2NE1. Not only 2NE1, but the staff at the venue were able to feel the pleasure working with each other. Also, not only did they take care of the staff, they also gave everyone energy. On behalf of K-Pop, 2NE1 will be featured in ‘Music Issue’ section in Nylon U.S. June Issue. In the editor’s letter section, Editor-in-Chief said with her unique sociability, CL had a wonderful dinner w/ Marvin 1) Q: Even though you met the editor of Marvin for the first time, you guys looked like old friends who have met and known him for a long time. CL: Strangely, it feels like I have known Marvin for a long time. He knows my character really well. When we had the photo shoot, we did not shoot by focusing on only one image (concept) but instead we made new things out in a free way and also, we were able to find other new things during the process of the making. That really connected to me really well. Dara: At first, it was difficult to read Marvin’s emotions because of his absence of expressions. I wasn’t sure if the pose I made appealed to him or not. During photo shoots with the local staff, there are usually many directions compared to this. However, compared to this, Marvin had that odd power that brought good things out without talking a lot. Minzy: Marvin was quiet, but we had a strong photo shoot. Bom: I really liked how he respected what the members of 2NE1 wanted to do. When I had a solo photo shoot on bed, I told him that we should take shots as I lie down because I was kind of tired. Marvin was cool and just answered “Good (that’s fine).” 2) Q: 2NE1 seems be a musician group who goes over the uniqueness and does a good job in pointing out each member’s strength. However, since you guys have chosen the other route that is different from the other girl groups, didn’t you go through many hardships? CL: I think the 2 years hiatus before our 2nd full album came out were the time that we had to go through tests. I feel like we have crossed over a large mountain (after the 2nd full album release). It feels new, personally to me, because it has been 4 years since our first full album release. I feel like being busy nowadays makes me feel good. Dara: We were more of worried about the (difference in the) standard of our views and the general public’s views. What we often used to hear was “Such a unique group”, but we still always hear it even when we try out cute as well as strong image stylings. Because of that, we (the members) even said,” We are mixed (heterogeneous) group instead of a girl group”. /laughs/ Minzy: The lifestyle of a celebrity is basically tiring. If we were normal people, there would be many things we would not be able to experience. Therefore, I do not think that I had to go through many hardships because of the team color of 2NE1. Bom: If I say my goal is to go for 100, I am still at 50 so we have not even go through hardships. There are still many things that we want to show. 3)Q: What is 2NE1′s current position? Minzy: There are people who call us junior (middle-aged) musicians, but we just released our 2nd full album. I think it is too early to judge. There is a saying that you will want to try out something new when you do not know anything. If we know too many things, I think we would be too scared to even challenge ourselves. [140410] YG-LIFE: 2NE1 tops March Gaon Digital Chart: 3 songs in Top 10 YG’s 2NE1 (members CL, DARA, BOM & MINZY) topped Gaon’s overall March digital music chart. The officially recognized Gaon Chart shows that among 2NE1’s 2nd full album released at the end of February titled “Crush,” their title song “Come Back Home” recorded a total of 55.74 million downloads and streaming for the month of March, ranking at the very top of the chart. “Come Back Home” is a cross between R&B, reggae and even hip-hop, which is co-produced by YG’s main producers Teddy and other producers. The song knocked down all charts immediately after its release, while topping many foreign iTunes. This was a song that proved 2NE1’s power home and abroad. Apart from the song, 2NE1 also listed 2 other songs from the latest album in the overall Gaon Digital Chart’s top 10 in March. The other title song, “Gotta Be You” ranked #5, while “If I Were You” ranked #10. Soyu and Junggigo’s “Some” topped the February overall Gaon Digital Chart, and it maintained its popularity by coming in at #2 in March.
