• Time flies when ur havin soo much fun and believe me when I tell you that these past 18 years have been allll that and then some, complete w/ the bag of chips even 🙈🙈 • Today marks a milestone for my newfound ‘adult’ who is a bright, intelligent, outgoing and highly opinionated soul 🤭 He’s respectful, empathetic, caring and sensitive 🥰 These admirable traits are just a few of the many things I love about my boy, @caleb_rothstein ❤️ • I can still remember how unexpected your arrival was, how tiny your preemie body felt when I held you and how we couldn’t bring you home for 2 whole weeks 😞 We had to find a million different ways to get you to finally sleep 🤦🏻♀️ I also can recall how sick you would get and the endless breathing treatments we would do on a daily, because Asthma found you when you were only 2 months old 😭 I love how you learned how to roll vs crawling, just to get to the places you wanted to, much faster 😂 You were a quick learner, advanced in so many ways and sometimes it caused you to get into a bit of trouble.. but who doesn’t like a little of that every once and awhile 🤷🏻♀️ In any case, you faired well.. really well, and thas all that matters 👊🏻 What I can attest to, is that you always did things ‘your’ way and in ‘your’ time.. as it should be 🙌🏻 • There was never any doubt that you wouldn’t accomplish what you set your mind to and I am soo very proud of who you’ve grown to become 😍 I’m thankful to’ve been able to guide you in this life and look forward to the brightness that is your future. This little beeehh 😒😂 I still am in denial. She turns 23 today. Where has the time gone?? 😞😭😭 I can still remember a 3 year old Maddy, after getting in trouble and being sent to her room, asking me: with the lights on or off? Gaaahh 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I am truly #blessed to have this #beautiful soul, inside and out, grace my life. ❤️ She’s kind, caring and loves with her whole heart, unconditionally, and to a fault. When you get woken from a deep, medicine induced slumber at 2 in the mornin, you know somethins up. Caleb has a bowling tourney in Arizona this weekend. He left for Vegas last night and was #excited to call us up with some good news. He received his first college acceptance letter from Cal State LA for their Pre Kinesiology Program!! We couldn’t be more #proud of this kid 🙌🏻🥰 Congrats @caleb_rothstein 🎉🎉 I’m #happy to see the drive and determination you have towards your future!! #Excited for the whole process. #LatePost Ahhh.. j/k 😂😂 I’m actually on time here 😬lol buuutt, Imma mix it up a bit and go outta order w/ this one 😏 Tonight, we attended this kids #football banquet. It was really nice to see everyone together again, celebrating the end of a good run ❤️ He earned the #Varsity letter he received and was honored with the Coaches Choice #Award 🙌🏻👏🏻☺️ That was an #awesome surprise. Coach Cruz spoke such #wonderful words about my boy and I couldn’t feel any more #proud of all that he’s #accomplished 🤗 I love the coaching staff and seriously wished that they had more time with Caleb. The way they went about teaching things with structure and morality really spoke volumes of each and every one of them 👊🏻 I am truly #blessed that they held an influential part in Caleb’s career. Super #llatepost 😳 This ain’t nothin new folks 😂 November 14th was #worlddiabetesday and if you weren’t already aware, November itself is #nationaldiabetesawarenessmonth 🙌🏻☺️ Sooo before the month ends... 😏😏 I’m posting in honor of my little #t1diaBetic, Maddy @mbrr 🥰 She was diagnosed with #T1DM during winter break of her high school Senior year, almost 5 years ago.. just right before Christmas. I can so clearly remember getting the call at work, that she needed to be admitted right away. It was the worst news ever. My heart hurt for her and because of the fact that I was helpless in what I could’ve done. There was no way of preventing it from happening. I know this now, but back then.. I felt guilty af. Like did I not take the best care of her like I should’ve? I can easily recall how surprised the docs were about how well she looked when she had super high levels upon admittance and how lucky they said we were that she wasn’t in DKA (when she really should’ve been). I remember how we kept thinking: dang.. this girl is lazy af, she’s always either tired or sleeping, especially after basketball practice. Little did we know, she was harboring a life changing, life-long #disease 😞 My little B has really come a long way since then. She knows how to manage her #levels and can tell when she’s gone too #high or gettin #low. No doubt, she’s a trooper and I’m #proud of how well she’s been able to handle everything since being diagnosed. #Autoimmune diseases are silent enemies. They make people think everything’s fine cause you ‘don’t look sick’, but in reality, they’re secretly doin you dirty from the inside. 😒 I should know, cause I have one too. They can mess with ur emotions, how you act & feel and how much energy you’ll have for that day. They can really suck the life outta you, if you let them. They say you won’t ever know how someone’s feelin till you walk a mile in their shoes. Pls try to be more sensitive and understanding towards those around you who are dealing w/ issues you may never come to know. A little bit of love and support go a long way 🙌🏻 We are made stronger by our grievances & resilient because of our battles. You never know exactly how much ur gonna miss something until it’s gone 😞 Last night was #SeniorNight for my Caleb @caleb_rothstein & the end to his long #football career 😭He’s been at it since he was 5, starting in Pop Warner w/ the Jags & after sustaining a shredded ACL injury during his Freshman year, he took a break. Finding his way back to the field for his Senior year was def a nice surprise because up until then, #bowling had taken over & become his #life 🎳 I truly am gonna miss the #excitement & anticipation of watching him play under them #FridayNightLights, screaming my head off at his games & watching him lay out a few bodies. He continuously makes me #proud... in all aspects & this season, esp this last game.. albeit bittersweet, was nothing short of #awesomeness 🙌🏻 The #Raiders don’t hafta be a top team w/ multiple wins to garner my support.. I’m super proud regardless 👊🏻👏🏻☺️ A huge shout out goes to those who’ve supported my little/big lineman thru the years. Your mere presence & kind words mean more than you know 😍😍 I just #loved how happy he always looked to know someone came out to watch him play 😊 I’m pretty sure it’ll be back to bowling again for this kid & altho I can’t technically yell at those tourneys 😒😳😂 I’m happy that once again, he’ll be involved in something that tends to bring a smile to that cute face of his 🥰🥰 Soo, it’s goodbye to the nasty, rank, stank-@s$ clothing/gear & the stench that permeated the car after hard practices and emotional games 🤢🥴😜 It’s been such a great ride for soo long!! Super #LatePostin Aww, my parents are the #cutest ever 🥰 It’s sad when you get into a routine of sorts w/ the people you hold most dear and then find urself a little empty when ur not in their presence 😞 Thas what its been like for me these last 2 weeks since my parents went back to the PI & when I couldn’t have my mornin breaks & coffee w/ my Mom & Papa 😞 These cuties made their journey over at the end of April for Maddy’s SDSU graduation in May & we were finally able to celebrate the many events they’ve missed out on.. including Moms Birthday and their Golden Wedding Anniversary ❤️ Pop even got to watch Caleb’s 1st Football game the night before they left!!
