I...tried to make a meme and got carried away and made A Thing that is like partially unfinished because i spent like 3 hours on it and then got tired.
I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."

Friendly reminder NOT to bully people (especially literal children) for their battle jackets/vests, even if they suck absolute ass.
Try giving constructive criticism instead of being a dick about it. No matter how bad one looks, or how far it may be from what a battle jacket/vest is supposed to be, a lot of time and love went into that shit. Somebody worked hard on that, and are hopefully proud of their work. It's okay to tell them what's wrong with it, and how they can improve, but it's not okay to make fun of the way it's put together, or how it looks. Help people get better, don't put them down.

But isn't a trans man someone who transitioned into manhood?
Yes, but everyone has their own experience for what that entails exactly.
For me, technically medically, im afab so ive transitioned into a man. But for me , I never felt like I was a girl, Ive always felt like I was just me, and that me is a boy, now a man. If people say I was a girl as a child, it feels wrong and incorrect. People seeing me as a girl just appalled me. My deadname was and is someone else, completely disconnected from me.
I dont have a connection to girlhood, the closest thing is that I always liked dolls and animals lol
I had a mostly genderless upbringing, but anything that was gendered felt like I was an outsider getting a peek in, for years bc of the disconnect I felt I was a ghost operating a girl puppet
I was always a boy, now Im a man, and for me hrt is medical intervention, to fix what estrogen did to me.
Some trans men feel like they were girls, some trans men feel like they were boys that were seen as girls, some trans men felt genderless, some were always boys etc etc
Its up to each person to decide what is more accurate to their life
I say im a trans man, cuz I had the experience of ppl seeing me differently and not having my body fit me, and taking measures to mend that. Ive transitioned in the eyes of other people, not mine
and bears repeating: this is what my experience as a trans man has been, everyone has a different one, even if similar. Everyones exp is valid, this is just what its like for me

The "radical leftists" on this site who talk constantly about the importance of solidarity and kindness and compassion and then immediately tell anyone who disagrees with them to kill themselves are going to be devastated when they learn how much of actual union organizing involves talking to people whose politics you find incredibly repugnant and meeting them where they're at in order to find common ground

less “therapy is for everyone!” more advice on how to recognize when therapy is helping you and when it is harming you, more educating people on their rights and what they can do when their rights have been violated, more advice on navigating finding a therapist that isn’t only applicable to private practice situations
less “don’t forget to take your meds!” more sharing of studies on the effects of psychiatric medication (wanted and unwanted/positive and negative), more discussion of how to document your experiences on medications so you can understand how they are effecting you, more support for people struggling to navigate getting prescribed/using/going off of psychiatric medication
less “always reblog the suicide hotline!“ more sharing information on what happens if you do actually call one of these lines (i.e. will they send the cops to your house), more teaching individuals and communities how to help someone in crisis without involving police or hospitalization, more open discussions of how to share what we feel and make others feel seen, understood, and supported when it comes to extremely difficult feelings and situations

Belt pouch I made after a while of fantasizing about it <3
I find it quite funny that coincidentally reptil diy did a video on a bag like this, like a day after i finished it, shouldve waited for his video instead of what i did lol :D
It isnt the prettiest and i still have to install a zipper but im very happy with it. It holds small things that i always forget to specifically bring with me when leaving the house

Reminder
Not every diy project has to or needs to look good
Especially bc of social media there can be pressure to make every diy project look professional. But thats not necessary! Things can look ugly! Utility and having fun making it is more important than it looking nice.
These are some of the diys of mine that are ugly (or obviously handmade lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The belt bag is a project im proud of but its obv not professional quality, my hemming is atrocious and my pin cushion? Ugliest thing ive ever made
And thats perfectly okay!
I use these things everyday, and i had fun sewing them. Nitpicking each flaw wouldve ruined it and made me not wanna sew

Horror games, i love indie horror and ive been watching horror game lps for a decade :D my fave is manlybadasshero, i watch every upload of his for like 5 years maybe more i genuinely dont remember
Collecting things, i was uber poor growing up, and now i have some disposable income so i get to relive my childhood that was cut short, and get all the toys and cool lil trinkets i always wanted
Body mods! This is a slow burn one but getting piercings and tattoos rrly boosts my self confidence and makes me feel like my truest self. I mean being trans is one big body mod/j. Planning tattoos and piercings and finding info and jewelry is real fun
Sewing. I sew genuinely everyday, whether its patch pants or jackets or bags or small lil useful things. I like having things and making them myself allows me to have things that would be ridiculously outta budget lol
