just learned Crimson Lips horse edition has been circulating in military offices and resulting in people there being genuinely surprised they liked it and positively changing their mindset on sex worker

It's happening, guys! It's a little late, but I finally got some inspo for my IYGALL 10th anniversary story thanks to @rarilight. Her latest story gave me a lot of ideas on what Coco's life might be like 10 years later and I really appreciate the feedback she's given me on this one. I may or may not end up retconning some things (I kinda wanna make this a story about Coco being an empty nester, so her second child with Scene may be cut) and I don't even really want to touch ships with a 10-foot pole, but otherwise, I'm excited to explore where everyone is after the events of the original. So check out my anniversary oneshot on my FiMFiction account (Quillamore), coming soon!

Fun fact: I very nearly called this story "All Was Well" as a way of clowning on That Author Who Shall Not Be Named and her notoriously terrible epilogue, lol. Something about making those the last words of her series and not exploring the characters beyond the nextgen kids and stuff never sat right with me, even as a child (and of course even less about her sits right with me now that I'm an adult). I hope to make this a much better, more fulfilling epilogue.

I always did say that if I were to write a sixth act for IYGALL, I'd call it "Love Like You" after the Steven Universe song. Now I finally get the chance to, thanks to you. You all are the "you" in my title and I can't thank you enough for the 10 years I had with you on FiMFiction.

Have to stop writing for now, and I only managed to write the intro lmao, but I made a choice that is essentially me having a wildly self indulgent cake and you know, i'm eating it, too anyway here it is as a treat.... bc im so generous....

Dear friend.  The world at large is made of stories. Perceptions one has of the world and its machinations. Stories, ultimately, are what help make sense of the world in a world that is so often nonsensical.  Stories such as Princess Twilight Sparkle convincing herself she was culpable for the great tragedies that befell her and those she loved, for example. And so often stories seem to be set in stone, never to change, adherent to a system of beliefs one holds dear for so long. Stories within stories, like Rarity telling her story to North Ridge, and like, and most importantly, me telling this story to you.  I hope that does not surprise you! Or come as a shock. The idea—or the acknowledgment, perhaps—that it is not a disembodied voice relaying these things to you, but we have reached a point in this fairytale where it makes sense to make myself known. Maybe it does not make sense precisely now, but as we continue, it will. Certainly, it is unorthodox, but I hope you’ll allow me this, considering especially we’ve already met.  Considering you know me so very well.  …Or us, I’ll add as a technicality that I will refrain from elaborating on, for only we have been able to tell this story so far in a way that makes sense. You see, it is difficult at times to tell where one ends and the other begins.  For better. Or worse.  But enough of the ramblings of a very old mare, and with a strange introduction and a promise (or threat, or delight, or whatever is apt for you, dear friend) that I will be more present, let us pick up where we left of, shall we?

One of the small joys of uploading all my stuff onto Ao3 is I’ll get really excited comments on TEL saying they’re so happy I picked the story back up again and can’t wait for the rest

And it’s like very nice to have that feedback from a location that’s not my usual audience

And also I have to stand there like “do I make this person’s entire month by linking them to the finished TEL and then TEK” or “do I milk this for all it’s worth”
