This is a little prototype I'm doing with Löve (https://love2d.org/) to see if I can get an idea going real quick and I kind of got it. Not only that but I'm learning a little bit of Lua along the way. I don't want to explain the game at this point but right now I got what I think is the core mechanic. Time will tell if I write more about this game.

Otomedius - Diol Twee

This might be the best low poly model I've ever done. I added some specular maps (First time using them) but I don't know if the Sketchfab viewver is using them. Definitely I saw them in the materials when I was uploading it.

This is the first interactive 3D enviroment I did for the web. It was going to be some sort of a simple dungeon crawler game but ended simpler than that. You just move with ASDW keys and try to look for an exit (A room, more exactly) and nothing more.

Después de terminar Steel Diver se me ocurrió hacer esta escena. En un principio sólo hice el submarino pero después le agregué más cosas como el lecho y algunos peces y algas. Steel Diver es un juego incomprendido y me parece que es excelente. Espero que más gente lo pruebe con el lanzamiento de Sub Wars.

Chequen el emblema que tiene el submarino. ¿Qué clase de poderes podría dar?

I made this scene after finishing Steel Diver. I only made the submarine but aftewards I thought the scene will look better with some fish and seaweed. Steel Diver is a niche game and I think is excellent. With the release of Sub Wars I hope more people try this game.

Look at the decal the submarine has. What kind of power could it give?

I'm slowy developing the game but now I can show the zone an unit can move to and actually moving it to a valid position. An unit can't be selected again after moving it. The animation is done with a simple tween using TweenJS so I can advance to my next step: attacking.

The code has changed a great deal due my inexperience implement in trying to implement a suitable javascript pattern design for game development. In my searching I found two great sites.

Estoy desarrollando lentamente el juego pero ya puedo mostrar la zona de movimientos disponibles de una unidad seleccionada y moverla hacia una posición válida. Una vez movida la unidad no puede moverse nuevamente. La animación está hecha con un simple tween de TweenJS para pensar rápidamente en lo siguiente: Los ataques.

El código ha cambiado bastante desde que comenzé principamente debido a tratar de implementar un patrón de diseño adecuado para juegos en javascript. En mi búsqueda he encontrado dos buenas páginas.
