So, it's been a year since I restarted this blog already, huh?

I'm gonna be honest: that doesn't feel real. I still haven't fully comprehended that it's been a year. It doesn't feel like yesterday that I restarted the blog, but it sure does feel like only months ago. And to think it was these two eejits that ended up kickstarting things for me. <3

It's crazy to see how my art has improved over the year. It's crazy knowing that, this time last year, I was finishing up secondary school. It's crazy knowing that this year, I'm rounding off the first year of college. And it's crazy knowing that these two have been stuck in my head all this time, even when I've gotten interest in other things in the process.

For those who've stuck around the year: I can't thank you enough. The original was what sparked so many things, and I'm more than grateful for those who stuck around all that time. Genuinely.

As sappy and repetitive as it is, here's to another year of art, and another year of me being obsessed with these two depressed gayasses (/aff).

"It's funny how so much can change in a year."

Well, here it is. My 1 year skyversary. You'd think that this would be something a bit more exciting for me, but I guess a lot of this is more looking back and realising just how much changed. Just how everything has been.

With everything that's going on, and everything that's happened, it's hard for me to really find excitement about today. It feels more melancholic than anything. But it's here. It's been a year already.

I joined Sky on January 3rd, right after Aurora's ending. I've been in love with it since then. It's been the source of a few of the friends that I have now. And I can't appreciate that enough.

It feels so strange, knowing where I am after a year. Knowing that this day last year, I was just a moth, whizzing through the realms. And now I'm here.

This year hasn't been a great start for me. It really hasn't. But this little day helps bring the mood up a bit, just that tiny bit.

Here's to another year of sky. Hopefully.

- shy

- most misunderstood of them all

- has lost 20 hacky sack balls due to sand storms, they are probably never gonna be found again and buried deep somewhere like prehistoric fossils. passage guide has to make a new one for him everytime

- non verbal most of the time

- unusually tall, like sit-the-fuck-down kinda tall

- used to live in valley

- fights with overachiever often, but passage guide breaks it up everytime because troublemaker cheers too loudly

- his outfit was meant for older kids of higher classes. and although he's the same age as his other classmates, it was given to him because people kept thinking he shouldn't be wearing the original, lighter uniform since he's an old kid. no one believes him. and he doesn't know how to explain himself properly, either

- appears intimidating and scary to others at first glance but is very much a sweetheart

- 90% doesn't know what's happening

**overactive overachiever**

- people are confused about their gender

bonus headcanons for the season :

different uniforms are assigned based off of age for the exception of oddball

in the passage schoolcamp, 1 'class' consists of 4 individuals

the main cast originally was separated and not in the same group

they were left out by others because they were considered annoying, weird, odd.. overall just too different for the things that the other children considered 'normal'

passage guide noticed their distress, and how unhappy they all were and came up with a brilliant idea. that if she put the 4 of them to make up a new group, they'd get along well

and pretty much, she was right. it was a match and they fit in almost perfectly. even the 'bullies' and the 'fights' they have are lighthearted and nothing to what they endured previously from other mean kids.

Doing this challenge has been a major test of energy for the most part, but it's also been enjoyable! Hell, I even learned some new techniques and played around with layers during this time, and while I may struggle to see much improvement as the month went on, it was nice to be able to draw one of my favourite games for... mostly the whole month. I don't know if I'll have time to do this next year thanks to the timetables for my course being quite different for older years, but getting the chance to do it this year has been quite the delight <3
