About 5 years ago I thought "What if Mega Man X had to fight a reploid named Suck Macaque?" and I thought it was funny enough to design him. ... then I designed another 7+ for a full game cast, fell in love with them, and kept going. Turns out I love drawing robots.

But now, finally, I made the animation that's been in my head since that first laugh.

I really worked my butt off this weekend and got a lot of this set up! Basically all of the uncolored parts. This is a really complex design, but much like Magnum Opossum here I didn't want to accept ANY compromises in quality.

The full, finished "boss select" animation for Laser Alligazer! I went into Too Much Mode for this since I like him so much, so it also has an attack animation in it. The others in this series won't be so long. If you want to see those as I finish them, stick around! This is one part of a series of very Mega Man X / Reploid-inspired designs I've made for an eventual cartoon or game. I have 8 or so designed, and I'm giving each one a proper intro animation like this. FUN FACT: To ensure his lenses stay clean and sterile at all times, his helmet is sealed with a specially formulated atmosphere inside it. If any debris gets on those lenses, he'll end up backfiring and blowing himself up during the laser firing procedure.

A year ago I got an idea for the Teamwork Termites: circuit board themed termite robots that solder each other into a gigantic fused form, a Teamwork Titan. Tons of off and on designs later I am really happy with this!

I like to think the hundreds of units comprising the Titan form have a hive mind, but they don't always agree in unison about everything. So sometimes simple instructions like "build our Titan form with SIX LIMBS, everyone!" gets interrepted in incongruous ways.

I've spent the last month giving two old OCs from my college days some modern touch ups. I'm really happy with these! If things go well these will be used for production of a pilot episode. Afterglow is the stage name for a girl who was born with odd genetic anomalies that give her bioluminescent color changing skin. She's very shy and scared of strangers finding out about her deal, but in the counterculture of goths and punks that raised her, she is outgoing and loves to dance. She performs massive lightshows at raves using her abilities - nobody suspects it isn't just coming from stage equipment. If she lets you get close, you might notice her oddly shaped lips or her cold clammy skin. She's pretty sure she's human though.

Spruce is a determined soda salesman, trying to get everyone in the neighborhood to buy into his late parents' amazing soda formula. When he isn't busy fighting off the business of rival soda giants like THE RED ONE or THE BLUE ONE, he's itching to fight crime as a small town "superhero". Sadly for him, he just sucks at fighting. But he throws himself into gallant efforts again and again no matter what. Maybe he'll finally catch a break?

Meet Laser Alligazer. Sometimes he is the mascot and host of a Planetarium, other times he uses laser attacks to commit crimes. He can focus light down all the scales on his body to fire beams of energy out of his eyes.

His helmet has a specially formulated atmosphere sealed inside to keep his lenses clean at all times, and it features a light-absorbing black paint to stop him from blinding himself.

Teamwork Termites are a near infinite group of small robots that function as one. They think nothing of using themselves as raw material for building huge structures. By the time anyone realizes what their final construction goal actually is, it will be too late for us all.

My big poster project is finally ready to color!

This has been sitting around for years of on and off work, but I did slowly build it up to this point.

This poster is older than COVID. My mom died while this was in production. I moved several times. So much has changed. But all these tiny children of mine are still in here, battling it out. Time to give them a final treatment.

Another Reploid design! But this one joins my existing group by time-traveling from hundreds of years in the future, as she is based off of Mutos Reploids from the Mega Man Zero series.

She likes to collect discarded robot parts and use them for her own purposes. Maybe she builds a big piece of ride armor or even just a nest. I still don't have a name finalized yet but I'm thinking some weird portmanteau or intentional misspelling to make her fit within the Zero series greats like "Hyleg Ourobockle" or "Maha Ganeshariff".

So I'm thinking something like "Juncollector" + some other fitting phrase... but until then I also have this!

I've been working on an "every OC I've ever designed" comic crossover style poster for the last... two years, which huge breaks in between. Finally got back to it and cleaned up Circe, my eely sea witch. Rakitty is giving her the business. 3rd pic is current status! Only a few left to touch up.

For months now I've been working on a drawing of Trashtalker, a TransFormers Autobot I designed when I was a teenager and haven't thought of since, battling against Habeas Porpoise, a dolphin robot that I designed in 2018. Tonight I think I finished the linework!

I wanted to stay true to Trashy's basic design, but as a more experienced artist I can't stand his joints. They don't make sense! How does he really move, as a robot? So I gave him a bunch of ball joints and also made him look banged up, he's one of my oldest characters after all. This was a fun "re-draw an old character" experience.

This is for a large poster project where every OC I've ever designed are all battling to the death - the winner will finally star in an animated TV series. Don't tell them its probably a lie..
