Now my little rant that I've been trying to keep in but imma just add it here: it seems that most of the haters throwing out nasty comments seem to be old BFU fans who only watch Ghost Files and can not let go of the past and does not realize that BFU has been over for almost 3 years now. Guess what?

Back.

It's totally ok to miss and grieve the loss of something you love, but continuously comparing Watcher to just BFU is tiring. Watcher is so much more than BFU, and if you guys would just simply read Watcher's company motto then you would know that.

So how about instead of living in 2018, you come and join us in 2024 and recognize that Shane Madej, Ryan Bergara, and especially Steven Lim are still fucking hilarious alongside the wonderful team at Watcher.

can you please recommend any other blogs that supported watcher through the last weekend/didn’t like the decision but were still respectful about it? I can’t even go in the tag anymore because it’s so vicious but I still want to engage with fans who weren’t deadass cruel and mean to them

previous ask, but should add i don’t like blogs that ship Ryan/Shane…but yeah generally just want to follow more blogs that can be sane about liking Shane Ryan and Steven without going into “they’ve betrayed me!!!!!!” territory

well... i've got some bad news anon. i'm an rpf friendly blog asldhfsdf. i post a lot of ship stuff here!! maybe not as recently but i do.

i get that it's not everyone's thing and i respect that, so if you choose to unfollow that's fine. but most blogs i know are my mutuals who are generally rpf friendly too 😭 i think i can still recommend a few that are not necessarily very shippy!!

but i gotta say, most people i've seen that were respectful of watcher during this whole debacle were mainly rpf shippers. take that with what you will but it's a fun thing to notice!!

anyways, here are a couple of blogs that i totally recommend that were super respectful and supportive during the whole thing (and don't ship):

It's a double edged sword. Like as bad as it is, it DID bring in a lot of people that haven't even heard of them. Like I personaly know at least 5 people that found out about them because of this and subscribed because they actually enjoyed the content. Yea they lost followers on YouTube, but their patreon has actually gone UP because of this by at leats 1,000 more people. It's like that ICarly episode with Fred.
