Both .brushset packs include a variety of popular MODIFICIO brushes from my Procreate brush making workshops. They evolved from our favorite Procreate default brushes, which we combined with dual brush passion, tweaked with drainting love, and optimized together with international artist friends.

Optimize Your Favorite MASHUP MODS In Procreate Brush Studio

The MODIFICIO brush series is also great if you who want to start making your own cool brushes! If you compare the brush dynamics and strokes with those of the respective default version, you’ll get a very good feeling for the different brush settings and how they modify the original brush to fit your needs. Just play around with your favorite brushes in the Procreate Brush Studio - I’m really curious what you come up with. You can always use the “Reset brush” option to reset all changes to your last saved version. I recommend keeping a backup copy of the original brush nonetheless.

Introducing The “NEUROTIC CARTOONIST” Sketch’n Ink Brush

The NEUROTIC CARTOONIST multi-purpose brush is one of my go-to brushes for loose sketching and dynamic gritty inking as well as for details, cross hatching and consistent erasing. The brush is pressure, tilt and speed sensitive closing the gap between pencilling and inking with broken lines and lots of “happy accidents”. I barely used the brush size and opacity sliders for the shown sketches and drawings. All variance in the different strokes can be achieved just by pressure, speed, and tilt angle of your stylus/Apple Pencil.

Featuring Georg’s Favorite Procreate Dual Watercolor Brush

The Brushtober GEORG WATERCOLOR dual color brush is awesome for watercolor and aquarelle painting in Procreate. You can easily mix and pull colors using low pressure, pencil tilt will add secondary color flow. It may take a little practice to master, but I think it’s one of the most natural and versatile watercolor brushes out there.

I included three versions for you: “normal”, “multiply” (natural color darkening for overlapping strokes), and “screen” (color brightening, unusual for real watercolors but great for highlights and natural color shading).

Use “Color Tilt” For Beautiful Dual Color Strokes

Like many of my favorite paint brushes the Brushtober2021.brushset makes use of a feature I called “Color Tilt”. The suffix “ct” in a brush name indicates that you can add any secondary color flow to your brush stroke just by lowering the angle of your Apple Pencil. Great news: I just uploaded 45 new and updated .brushset files to my Procreate MegaPack! 🥳My free update #35 (version 21.0) brings you 320+ amazing new Procreate 5 brushes (1800+ total):

I’m working on data bases with all my updated/new .brushset and .brush files. You’ll be able to search, browse, and bookmark your favorite brushes…

320+ Brand-New 💕InkAmigo Brushes

The free update includes more than 320 brand-new 💕InkAmigo brushes. Since some users reported problems installing the 2 GB .brushset file I added the new brushes on top of their respective brush sets/families.

If you got your MegaPack via Gumroad, you’ll find a 2 GB .zip file with 11 themed 💕InkAmigo MegaBundle sets as well as the freshly updated .brushset files.

Due to Sellfy’s 10 GB file size limit I was able to upload all updated .brushset files, but not the optional InkAmigo.zip file.

For Creativemarket’s 4 GB limit there’s no easy solution, so I’m setting up a MegaPack migration workflow. But since I’m bound by tight project deadlines, it may take a few weeks to solve a couple of technical issues. I’ll keep you posted…

Boost Your Procreativity With Dual Color, Wet/Dry Mix, Multi-Texture Brushes!

Here are some quick brush stroke demos with some of my brand-new InkAmigo brushes. All shown brush strokes were done ONLY with just the selected brush. Dual color flow, wet/dry mix and multi-texture flows are controlled just by Pencil tilt angle, pressure, and speed. 

The results are really amazing, and the set-and-forget brushes keep you in the flow, since you can focus on your art instead of switching between different brushes and colors. Some brushes may take a little practice - but the way the new power features work is pretty similar for most of the new Procreate 5 brushes. So once you get a feeling for one of the new brushes, you’ll easily get familiar with the other brushes/families.

All brush strokes from the demos above and below were done with just the shown brush - without changing brushes, colors or using size and opacity sliders:

Brush Feature: Kierkegaard Ink Brush Rough Black P5

Happy New Year my friends! 

During the Xmas Procreate 5 MegaPack update I started studying "digital ink philosophy" and created the upcoming KIERKEGAARD INKER as a "signifying base brush": It's a bastard brush derived from my experiments with "dual brush dialectics" for the INKTOBER, MAGIC and COALMINE sets...

But the beta version of a pure black, existentialist inker is one of my favourite rough ink brushes already!  I used twisted pressure/tilt/roundness curves for varying crisp/toothy edges and an amazingly pleasant inking flow.

I love brushes that create dynamic strokes and just the right amount of "happy accidents" to give it a natural look & feel without distracting from your line art. The pure black version works great for large prints too.

Thanks so much and hat tip to our heroes @Procreate for creating the best brush engine ever! The new possibilities are endless and so much fun to explore...
