Road trip! (things to do that aren’t eating)
Hey everyone! I was recently on a super long drive and found myself so bored I just wanted to eat. So, I came up with this list of 10 things you can do in the car that aren’t eating, if you aren’t the driver.
1. Diet Soda
Okay, so, this one sounds obvious. But stop at a gas station and get a low/no cal drink! Sip on it (coffee also works)
2. Crochet/knit
This one keeps your hands busy. Just make sure you’re on a relatively straight road, or take a dramamine so you don’t get carsick.
3. Listen to something!
Music gets so boring. Listen to a podcast or an audiobook (lots of opportunities for ed related content too!). This works best in combination with one of the other tips.
4. Draw
Another thing to keep your hands busy!
5. write
Make a list like this, of all the things you like to do!
6. Play games
Remember those car games you would play as a little kid? I spy, out of state plates? Bust them back out
7. Make a new pinterest board
Maybe for whatever season is next, or your destination
8. Dance
Put on some stupid pop music and jump around in your seat like an idiot. See if you can get someone to dance with you at a red light.
9. Smash or pass
Okay, this one is truly stupid. Look in every car window and decide if you would sleep with that person. And make assumptions about them: where are they from? What’s their relationship to the person in the passenger seat? Etc. Make up that persons life story.
10. DRIVE
Take a turn driving to keep yourself busy! Again, super obvious, but one I kept forgetting about.
