I’m gonna be real and it might seem bitchy but hey. I can’t read any Soap fics due to the way folk write Scottish, we don’t sound like that and don’t even use half the words you use.

my official stance is a pregnancy is whatever the pregnant woman wants it to be. if it’s a 4 week old clump of cells and she wants to call it a baby it’s a baby. if she’s 20 weeks and she wants to call it a parasite it’s a parasite. if she’s 39 weeks and calls it a fetus it’s a fetus. “why are you so sad about miscarrying at 6 weeks it was literally just an embryo” because that was her baby. “how can you get an abortion at three months” because that wasn’t a baby. hope that helps.

Tumblr feels kinda quiet atm. To me and on my side at least lol. Idk it feels like between very many writers leaving and just general fatigue, things feel a bit odd rn.
I’ve been feeling super strange as well lately. Grumpy. Sad. Etc.
Writing is a nice distraction and keeps me company during strange times.

Your favorite writers have stopped updating, not returned from hiatus, or simply deactivated altogether, because they get no support.
If you're one of the people who goes to X writer's inbox and says "I know I don't reblog from you-" lemme just stop you right there.
We have lives. We have duties, things to do, responsibilities, because a big chunk of us are adults. It's okay that you have other things, that you're not always available, that you might be going through something and can't always read or reblog everything. Writers get that.
But no writer wants to see you tell them "Hey, I know I don't reblog from you!"
They know. They're in a slump for a reason. The reason isn't you not reblogging or supporting them, the reason is hardly anyone doing it.
And if you go to them and wave the "hey!! I don't reblog from you even though it's all you ask in return for your free work!" card, chances are, the writer will be upset. They can't very well point out how tactless you're being, because then they might just be cancelled or called out for being rude to you when you are deliberately being tone-deaf to their situation as well.
Like you, writers have lives outside. Writers have jobs, or are searching for them; they have worries, duties, things going on, worries, etc.
The difference is they sit for hours upon hours to write, while it would only take you between a second and a minute to reblog.
Reblogging is absolutely not difficult. Fast reblogging is incredibly quick and practical, but "slow" reblogging isn't slow either. You don't even have to add a comment to the reblog, an empty reblog is just as appreciated.
Supporting your writers is literally not difficult, and if you as a reader and as a consumer aren't going to do it, then it's totally fine if you choose not to. Your life, your blog, your choice.
But don't go at a writer to remind them "Hey I know I'm among the people who doesn't support you but I still like what you write" and expect them to be overwhelmed with joy without feeling the slightest tinge of resentment.
Likes do nothing!!!
If you're in the position to support a writer, do it. It's not hard.

With all the nonsense happening because people are selling fanfics on Etsy, I’m gonna lay down some rules real quick for myself.
My work is not allowed to be reposted anywhere. I don’t care if it’s translated or what. It’s my work and I decide what happens to it.
If I see my work reposted, stolen, or being sold, I will remove it instantly from everywhere. Gone forever. No one gets to see it anymore.
I’ve had my work stolen, it’s not fun. It’s not a compliment to how good it is. It’s awful and I’m still not over it.
If you want to print out my stories and bind them for your own personal use, then please show me your hard work, and enjoy your own personal copy. Do not sell it.
These stories are hard work, if they weren’t then why are people stealing fanfics and selling them? Write your own shit or get off the planet with that nonsense.
Fanfics are not meant to be sold. My works are original, yes, but fanfic is the backbone and catalyst of mine and many other’s writing career. Fanfics are not meant to be sold because they are fab works and the original creators can, have, and will use the law to their fullest. Then no one gets anything. Fandom as you know it will crash and burn. Fanfic and fanart are free for this very reason.
This isn’t funny of cute. There are serious and dubious repercussions. You’re hurting everyone.

Babysitter.
You left Taipai with Bruce and his mother fifteen years ago, now the trouble is coming to LA along with Charles.  Characters – Reader, Charles, Bruce and Mama Sun.  Word Count - 1.6k
‘Bruce, everything okay?’ You quizzed, he and the other man turned to you, shock evident on their faces.  ‘Yeah, I -,’ He started. He cleared his throat, ‘This is my brother, Charles.’ Bruce introduced him, you sent him a polite smile.  ‘Pleasure to meet you.’ You greeted him with a smile, he glared at you but nodded.  ‘Charles this is Y/N, they used to babysit me.’ He admitted, Charles looked amused.  ‘Is your mother still on for dinner?’  ‘Yeah, I mean if you’re okay with Charles joining?’ Bruce asked, you looked at him then over to Charles, you nodded.  ‘It’d be me interupting a family reunion.’ You joked, Bruce chuckled as Charles gave an awkward one as well, ‘Well, I must go, don’t want to be late.’ You told him, you reached up and ruffled his hair before you smiled at the pair of them and walked away.
‘What the hell happened?’ You asked, the dish you held in your hand suddenly felt awkward, the three of them turned to you, Bruce and Charles had yellow gloves up to their elbows.  ‘Charles had a surprise visitor.’ Eileen stated, you raised an eyebrow and carefully avoided the mess.  ‘I can see that but who is he?’ You asked, ‘He doesn’t look familiar.’ You said whilst you set the dish down onto the table, Eileen stood up and walked over.  ‘I need you to grab the suitcase.’  ‘Why are you so calm about this?’ Bruce asked, you tilted your head, ‘You knew?’ Bruce said, you nodded and he shook his head.  ‘I left with you and your mother, some added protection.’ You explained, you stepped forward but he held his hands up and you listened.  ‘You never told him?’ Charles asked, you turned to him.  ‘He wasn’t to know anything, so I told him nothing.’ You replied.  ‘Suitcase?’ Eileen questioned, you nodded and walked away from the three of them.
‘Maybe we should kill him.’ Bruce suggested, Charles’s gaze lifted up before he charged at him, you were quick to step between the two.  ‘Back off.’ You warned Charles, his glare landed on you, Eileen stood at your side.  ‘You’re protecting him? He just screwed up the deal.’ Charles shouted, you bit your tongue as he stepped closer as he tried to intimidate you.  ‘You’d be dead if he didn’t,’ you said, ‘and until Bruce can fight like you, I’m with him.’ You almost snarled.  ‘And it’ll be a long time.’ Charles mumbled, you bite your lip as you stepped backwards, closer to the younger brother, ‘You’ve always took his side, you left with him.’ Charles continued, something snapped inside of you.  ‘I did it because of you.’ You growled, both men looked at you shocked, a loud pop came from your neck as you rolled it.  ‘Your lies won’t win me over.’  ‘Charles get over yourself,’ you hissed, ‘as soon as you killed that man I had to leave.’ You remembered the day that you had to frantically pack.  ‘Precious Ba gave me an option, stay with Bruce or end up in the bin.’ You growled, Charles straightened and shook his head.  ‘He wouldn’t.’ He replied confidently, Bruce looked between the pair of you.  ‘I was your only weakness, I guess he could see something none of us could.’ You said.  ‘I don’t have a weakness.’ Charles blinked.  ‘You refused to train for a week because you hit me.’ You reminded him, he stayed silent as you turned to Eileen.  ‘Evaporated milk?’ You asked, she nodded with a weak smile, ‘I’ll be back in half an hour.’ You told them before you left.
The shrill ring of your phone pulled you out of the trance you had fallen into slicing spring onions. Quickly you answered the phone and set it on the counter.  ‘May?’ Eileen looked at you, ‘What’s happened?’ You quizzed.  ‘Charles has been arrested.’ She said, both you and Eileen stopped.  ‘When?’ You quizzed, you could hear the commotion of precinct behind him.  ‘Maybe an hour or so, open fire of a weapon.’ She informed you, your eyebrows pinched together.  ‘Do you think you could come down? You’re the only one he’ll listen to Y/N.’ She asked, you grimaced, Eileen violently chopped the carrot.  ‘Yeah, send me which one and I'll be there.’ You told him, she swiftly replied before you hung up.  ‘Tell him the truth.’ Eileen stated, you shook your head.  ‘The truth? I don’t think that will help.’ You told her, she tilted her head but continued to slice.  ‘Well then, use your brain.’ She amended.  ‘If you need anything, message.’ She shooed you away. You grabbed your jacket, sliding your arms through the holes as you left the room.
‘May, where is he?’ You quizzed, she pointed in the general direction of the cells before she lifted her phone, Bruce’s location said he was moving too quick for his car. You looked at May and she nodded, you rolled your shoulders.  ‘She won’t let me see him.’ May stated, you pulled your lips between your teeth.  ‘Who?’   ‘Alexis.’ May announced, your jaw tensed.  ‘Where is she?’ You quizzed, May jutted her chin behind you as you smiled at him.  ‘Go wait in the car.’ You told him, the soft smile never left until she walked away from you, focused on her phone.  You turned around and took a deep breath, ‘Alexis.’ you called, she lifted her head, shook apparent on her face as she took you in.  ‘Y/N?’ She quizzed, you nodded and gave her a polite smile.  ‘How have you been?’ She questioned.  ‘Could be better.’ You told her, she sighed and nodded, ‘Can I see him?’ You asked.  ‘Who?’ She asked, you arched an eyebrow.  ‘Charles.’ You said.  ‘He isn’t here.’ She lied, you scoffed and rolled your eyes.  ‘I can get you his father.’ You bargained.  ‘What?’ She asked shocked, you licked your lips.  ‘It’s what you want, the big break isn’t it?’ You tilted your head to the side, her eyes narrowed slightly.  ‘I can’t do that.’   ‘Charles is the only one who knows his location.’ You said, her eyes widened slightly.  ‘I can’t.’ She said, you almost snarled at her as you took a step closer, fear flared in her eyes before she pushed it down.  ‘I need two minutes, if you can’t do that then Bruce is as good as dead, even you know that.’   ‘Two minutes.’ She agreed, you gave a tight-lipped smile.
‘I said I’m not talking.’ Charles announced when the door opened, you arched an eyebrow.  ‘Good, you can listen.’ His head swirled to you and watched as you walked to the other side of the table.  ‘I don’t want to listen.’ He commented, you huffed.  ‘Fine but he has Bruce and for all you say you don’t care, I know you do.’ You warned him.  ‘You sided with him.’ He huffed, you rolled your eyes.  ‘Enough about us.’ You dismissed him.  ‘Why, so you can run away from me?’ He asked, you dipped your head.  ‘It wasn’t you.’  ‘I left with him because of you,’ you admitted, you played with your nails, ‘he meant the world to you so I know I had to keep him safe, had to keep both of them safe.’ You explained.  ‘So, you became a babysitter?’ Charles asked.  ‘Yes, and I would do it over and over to ensure each one of you was safe.’ You tapped your fingers against the surface of the table.  ‘You might not to admit it but if Ba kills Bruce, it will kill you.’ You crouched, so Charles struggled to avoid looking at you.  ‘I don’t care.’ He grumbled, you closed your eyes briefly.  ‘Charles, he’s doing it to prove a point to you,’ you started, hands clenched in front of you, ‘He wants to be your little brother, he wants you to be proud of him and wants your approval.’ You finished, Charles looked at you.  ‘He’s at the house, how am I going to get Bruce out?’ He gestured to the cuffs before he lifted his gaze again.  ‘You’re not,’ you exhaled, ‘I’m going to get him, you need to stay here.’ You chapped the table again.  ‘So why have you come here?’ He asked.  ‘We both know I'm not gonna make it out this meeting.’ You said, Charles eyes widened slightly before he shook his head, ‘I just wanted to say bye.’ You added, you stepped to his side, you rested a hand to the back of his head before you pressed a kiss to the top of his head.  ‘It was nice to see you again Charles, please treat him with kindness.’ You whispered, you pulled back and walked away before he could reply you walked away and left him in the room.
‘Y/N.’ Charles breathed, you smiled up at him.  ‘You good?’  ‘I’m good.’ You replied, you pushed yourself up and he helped you up.  ‘You’re out of prison.’ You commented, Charles scoffed and pulled you in for a hug, his arms wrapped tightly around you.  ‘And you’re still alive.’ He said, his eyes took you in as he pulled back.  ‘I am.’   ‘What happened?’ Charles questioned, you rubbed your shoulder.  ‘Bruce shot him.’ You stated, Charles whipped around to his brother.  ‘What?’ He asked, confused at what he was hearing.  ‘Right through the stomach, Ba will spend the rest of his days in a prison hospital before being promoted to maximum prison.’ You said, Charles looked shocked as he turned to Bruce, who smiled shyly.   ‘Seems like you’ve learnt the family way.’ Charles said, Bruce shook his head.  ‘No, I learnt the Y/N.’ Bruce commented, you tilted your head to the side, Charles chuckled.  ‘Yeah, think we should learn some things from them more often.’ He stated.

Out of Place.
Price moves to a small town now that he’s retired. He’s enjoying the peace and quiet, yet it seems trouble likes to find him.  Word Count - 2.8k. Characters – Reader x Price, Madeline.  Warnings – Abusive relationships.
‘You’re the second person to move here in a month.’ The lady said, Price arched an eyebrow as he looked to her.  ‘Second?’ Price asked, the woman nodded sternly, the high ponytail swayed with the force.  ‘Y/N,’ the lady said happily, ‘doesn’t count she lived here before.’ She swatted a hand yet the older gentleman to Price’s left scoffed  ‘Yeah before that man of hers took her away.’ The man replied gruffly, Price arched an eyebrow.  ‘But that doesn’t matter, you came for breakfast and here we are discussing the towns history.’ She dismissed the conversation.  ‘Yeah, let’s just hope that fella doesn’t show up here pleading to get her back.’ The man commented, the lady’s face twisted in disgust.  ‘I’m sure the town will have her back this time.’ She stated, the man raised his cup of coffee before everyone feel into silence as well.    ‘Shit sorry.’ The man said, a gentle hand rested on your back as it kept you up.  ‘It’s okay.’ You said, you stepped away from the touch before you took in the stranger, he kept his gaze on you.  ‘You must be Y/N.’ He said with his brows slightly furrowed, you tensed but looked up at him, a small smile on your lips.  ‘That’s me.’ You hesitantly replied.  ‘John Price, your neighbour.’ He introduced himself, you arched an eyebrow before you nodded.  ‘Nice to meet you.’ You said politely, he dipped his head slightly but he didn’t break eye contact with you.  ‘If you need help with moving in, just give me a knock. I’ll be there.’ He offered, you nodded.  ‘I need to go, on a tight schedule.’ You told him, ‘I was nice meeting you.’  ‘You as well.’ He said, you both smiled once more before you both went your separate ways.    You hesitantly lifted your curled fingers and chapped the door, it wasn’t long until you heard the muffled footsteps. A lock was turned before the door opened, John stood on the other side, his grey eyes softened when he looked at you, you gave him a small smile.  ‘Sorry to bother you but my sinks blocked, I'm hoping you might be able to fix it before I have to call the handyman.’ You said, he blinked a few times before he nodded.  ‘I can try, doesn’t mean I'll be able to do it.’ He said, you nodded and stepped back to give him space to step out, the jumper tight over his shoulder as he pulled the door over.  Price walked next to you the short distance to your door, you pushed it open before you both stepped into your flat. Price was shocked that the same flat could feel completely different, yours felt lived in, the odd clothes lying on the arms of the couch.
‘Have at it.’ You gestured to the kitchen area, Price walked over to it and rolled his sleeves up.
‘Thank you, I didn’t mean to take you away.’ You told him, he shook his head and rested his lower back against the counter. He had managed to unclog the sink after a few hour, sweat spotted across his forehead.  ‘Wasn’t doing much, haven’t been doing anything lately.’ He admitted, he sounded bored,  ‘Holiday?’ You asked, he rubbed his beard.  ‘Retirement.’ He replied, you looked shocked.  ‘Seem a little young for retirement.’ You commented, he chuckled.  ‘My bones don’t agree with you but yeah, I’m on the earlier side.’ He stated, you hummed.  ‘Military?’ You quizzed, his eyes widened slightly.  ‘You’re good a spotting things.’ He stated, you rubbed your lips together.  ‘I’ve needed to be.’  ‘Why’d you move back here?’ Price asked, you knew the pair of you had been the towns gossip but his seemed to be about you, ‘I mean I needed the silence and calm that came with here but you seem -,’  ‘Out of place?’ You quizzed, the difference ten years make is crazy.  ‘Yeah.’  ‘I needed peace and quiet.’ You stated, he tilted his head to the side.  ‘Wild childhood.’ He joked, you gave a little smile.  ‘You could say that.’ You replied, a thud came from the other room both of you tensed up before you walked towards it.  ‘Everything okay?’ Price’s brows furrowed.  ‘Yup, it’s -,’ You started, you waited for the cry of pain.  ‘Mum?’ A quiet voice called, heavy footsteps followed before the small girl stopped at your side, her arms wrapped around a leg and she hid herself behind you.  ‘You’ve been hiding a princess in the other room?’ Price questioned, you and your daughter’s brows furrowed in unison and he couldn’t help the corner of his lips jump up. He made eye contact with you, you slowly nodded and moved a hand down to cup the back of her head.  ‘Say hi to Price.’ You introduced him to her.  ‘Price?’ She questioned, the wrinkles between her brows deepened.  ‘My first name is John, but I prefer to go by Price.’ He explained.  ‘Why?’ She questioned, slowly she moved out from behind your leg, her grip still tight but she wasn’t hiding behind you.  ‘I had friend called John as well so it was easier.’ He said, ‘Do you have a name I can call you?’ Price questioned, she nodded with a wide smile.  ‘Madeline.’ She said, Price gave a nod.  ‘That is a princess name.’ He stated, Madeline crossed her arms over her chest.  ‘I’m not a princess, princesses always need saving, I don’t.’ She replied adamantly, Price arched an eyebrow before he gave a stern nod.  ‘Understood ma’am.’ Price replied, when he stood up his knees popped, you winced.  ‘Can you go back to your room -,’  ‘But I want to stay.’ Madeline cut you off, you raised an eyebrow.  ‘Maddie, you need to bring your dirty washing through then you can stay.’ You told her.  ‘Mum.’ She sighed.  ‘Fine, but then I’m choosing the movie tonight.’ You challenged her, her face dropped.  ‘No, I’m not watching Nativity again.’ She replied and quickly walked away, her wild hair flew behind her.  ‘She seems like a hand full.’ Price commented, you chuckled to yourself.  ‘Sometimes.’ You admitted, Price smiled and turned to the cooker, ‘What do I owe you?’ You asked, he shook his head.  ‘Nothing.’ He replied, your eyebrow raised.  ‘Nothing?’ You quizzed, he nodded.  ‘First times on the house, any other time might cost you a cuppa.’ He said, you smiled widely and nodded.  ‘I’ll take that.’ You agreed.  ‘Got it.’ Madeline said, she shuffled with the couple items of clothing held tightly in her arms.  ‘Thank you.’ She dumped the clothes into the basket near the washing machine.  ‘What are you gonna chose?’ Price asked, Madeline wiped her hands down her top.  ‘What’s your favourite movie?’ She asked him, eyes wide as she looked up at him.  ‘Nativity.’ He replied, she flung her head back and groaned at his response, both you and Price smiled.
‘Price.’ Madeline called, she ran before you could tell her to stay next to you.  You turned and watched as the ran over to Price, a hand slipped into his free one as he stopped pushing the trolley, it was half full with various items.  ‘Madeline, how have you been?’ Price questioned.  ‘Okay.’  ‘Just okay?’ He quizzed.  ‘Mums not been the happiest.’ She told him, he raised an eyebrow at her.  ‘Has she not, do you know why?’ He quizzed.  ‘It’s her birthday.’ Maddy told him, he glanced to you as you walked over.  ‘Maddy.’ You said sternly.  ‘Mum.’ She turned to you.  ‘I hope you aren’t annoying Price?’ You said, both of them shook their heads as you looked to Price.  ‘Of course not, she’s telling me that it’s your birthday.’ Price said, you looked at your daughter and narrowed your eyes, she looked up at you the same way.  ‘Yup.’ You replied.  ‘Have anything planned for it?’ He questioned, you shook your head.  ‘Dinner with the gremlin, a movie and maybe a bath before bed.’ You told him your extravagant plans.  ‘Sounds like you’d nights packed,’ Price said, you nodded, ‘but how about you cancel your plans and I’ll take the pair of you out.’ He offered, you went to shake your head hut then you saw Maddy’s eyes widened, excitement took over her features.  ‘You’re not taking us out, but you can join us if you’d like?’ You offered, he tilted his head.  ‘Seems like we’ve got a deal.’ He said, he and Maddy looked at each other, ‘I’ll get the snacks,’ He added, you went to object but Maddy grabbed his extended hand and walked away, you had no choice but to follow.
‘Maddy?’ You whispered, she didn’t move and you leaned forward enough to see she was asleep, you turned and noticed that Pirce has fallen asleep as well.  HIs head rested against the back of the couch, gentle snores escaped his lips, Maddy’s head rested on his thigh. You were sure that there would be a collection of droll on his jeans, bags of sweets sat on the coffee table. A smile took over your features before you sat forward, carefully you removed Maddy’s legs from your lap as you stood up, your hands slid over her back and went to lift her before Price snapped open, a hand landed on her side.  ‘I need to take her to bed.’ You whispered, you watched as he relaxed, he cracked his neck.  ‘I’ve got her.’ He said, he rubbed the heels of his hands into his eyes, you shook your head.  ‘Relax, I'll put her down.’ Price said, you sighed before you nodded.  You watched as he carefully lifted her head up, he slipped out before he turned and lifted Maddy up. Her head lulled to his chest, he carefully stroked her head as he held her close. Price walked to the two doors and nudged the correct one open before he disappeared inside.  ‘Thank you.’ You whispered, when he sat back onto the couch, his head fell back into the cushion, he opened his eyes slightly.  ‘No need.’  ‘I just – I've never been treated to anything like this.’ You admitted, you felt comfortable to tell him, his brows furrowed.  ‘Never?’ He asked, you shook your head.  ‘Nope, my birthdays weren’t important, I was more focused on Maddy.’ You said, he twisted his head to look at you, grey eyes took you in.
‘Can I help you?’ Price asked, both your heads snapped around, you went to reply before Marcus did.  ‘Nothing that bothers you, mate.’ Marcus said, you made eye contact with Price and his jaw bounced.  ‘I’m not your mate,’ Price said, his voice stern as he fully stepped out his house, ‘and it does bother me when you’re shouting at a lady.’ He added, Marcus scoffed as you turned back to him.  ‘She’s nothing close to a lady.’ Marcus said.  ‘The mother of your child has pissed you off that much, you’re treating her like a discarded item?’ Price questioned, his hands clasped in front of him.  ‘As I said this doesn’t concern you.’ Marcus told him, a dismissive hand waved at him.  ‘It does, now why are you yelling obscenities at this time of morning.’ Price said, you noticed the loose shorts and large t-shirt, even the messy hair allowed you to realise the time.  ‘Sorry it’s too early for you grandpa but this is between me and the Mrs.’ Marcus growled.  ‘Haven’t seen a ring in her finger, is it one sided? Unable to keep anything up?’ Price quizzed, Marcus’s mouth snapped shut and his face turned red. He glared at you over Price’s shoulder before he huffed and walked away.    ‘Don’t run from him.’ Price said, you looked at him as you continued to shove items of Maddy’s clothes into bags.  ‘I need to keep her safe.’ You told him, the bags were starting to fill.  ‘Stay here.’ He said, you shook your head but continued to things into bags.   ‘John, I can’t go back to him, I can’t let Maddie see his true colours.’  ‘Y/N -,’  ‘John,’ you snapped and stood up, ‘he almost killed me when I was eight months pregnant, he was willing to take both our lives without even a second thought.’ You told him, rage filled his eyes before he pushed it away.  ‘I can understand mine, but someone who hadn’t even started a life yet.’ You tried to reason with the thought that bounced around your head for a while.  ‘The town, they aren’t going to let him take you again.’ Price said, you looked at him as if he had grown a second head.  ‘What?’ You asked.  ‘I was here a day and everyone in the cafe was planning on how to keep him away from you, they despise him and love the pair of you.’ Price stated, he remembered the hushed conversations in the cafe.  ‘I’m not putting anyone in danger.’ You told him  ‘You’ll be putting yourself and Maddie in danger.’ He stated, you froze and looked at the half-filled bags, your jaw slackened as you tried to think of a response.  ‘I know half a dozen folk here that want to help and I can call my buddies from work and they’d be here in a second to defend you from the jerkbag.’ He said, the corner of your lips curled before   ‘I don’t deserve it.’ You admitted as you dropped down onto the edge of the bed.  ‘You deserve everything.’ He said, you went to shake your head but he crouched down so he was level with you, his eyes danced around your face.  ‘John -.’  ‘Just listen to me please,’ he begged, ‘I am willing to defend you and Maddy, the pair of you have somehow wrangled your way into my heart and I don’t plan on letting you leave without defending you.’ Price told you, one of his hands landed on your knee and gave it a gentle squeeze.
‘You need come with me.’ Marcus said, a hand stretched out towards you, you tried your hardest not to flinch.  ‘No.’ You replied, barely about a whisper, his eyes darkened.  ‘What?’ He quizzed, you straightened, knowing that people were looking out for you, courage filled your chest.  ‘No, I’m not coming with you.’  ‘You can’t keep my daughter away from me, you can’t stay away from me.’ Marcus snarled, you arched an eyebrow.  ‘I am staying here Marcus, with Madeline and away from you.’ You told him, your voice steady.  ‘She is mine.’ He hissed.  ‘No,’ you snapped, his jaw bounced, ‘I am done running, this is my home, always has been and I was stupid enough to listen to you all those years ago.’ You finished, arms crossed over your chest, Marcus took a step closer but you didn’t move.  ‘I’d be careful.’ A voice called, Marcus’s lips curled in disgust when he spotted Price, his own arms crossed over his chest which allowed him to see the muscles.  ‘Oh, you’ve got a guard dog.’ Marcus sounded amused, Price’s fingers twitched on his arms.  ‘No,’ Price approached the pair of them, Marcus cocked his head, ‘just here for moral support.’ He added, only now had you realised the difference in height between the pair, warmth from Price spread down your side.  ‘Your fucking him aren’t you?’ He accused, you looked over your shoulder to Price before you shook your head.  ‘No, not yet, not like you that jumps from woman to woman.’ You told him, Price’s breath got caught in his throat as Marcus’s eyes widened.  ‘Yeah, I knew about them, often wondered how many of them you got pregnant and almost bet to death?’ You commented, his face twisted. ‘Shut up.’  ‘Enough,’ you growled, ‘I don’t want to see or hear from you again, ever, Maddy and I do no exist to you.’  ‘She’s my daughter.’  ‘And when she’s eighteen she can chose to see you but for now get lost.’ You told him, he glared at you but you didn’t back down, his gaze darted to Price before he sighed.  ‘Fine.’ He huffed and walked away.  You gave a shaky exhale when he was far enough away that he wouldn’t hear it, Price carefully placed a hand on your elbow, quickly you turned to him and wrapped yourself into his chest, both his arms wrapped around you.  ‘He’s gone, you did it.’ He said, your grip on his shirt tightened.  ‘Mum?’ A quiet voice asked, you pulled back from Price to see Maddy walked towards you.  ‘Maddy.’ You said, a small smile present on your face as she looked between you, Price and the surrounding area, wondering who you were talking to.  ‘You said we had to leave, we’ve missed the time when we should’ve.’ She informed you, your stomach dropped at the panic that was wrote over her face. You crouched down to her height, a hand coming up to cup face, the soft cheeks under your fingers.  ‘We aren’t leaving baby.’ You told her, relief settled in your chest.  ‘We’re staying?’ She asked, you nodded as you glanced to Price over her shoulder.  ‘Yeah, I think it’s time for us to make this place our home, what do you think?’ You asked, a wide smile took over her face as she started to bounce up and down, giving you your answer.

Rumours are spreading that the force 141 has been infiltrated by a woman. Everyone is sure that they will succumb to the bad luck that the woman will bring.  Characters – Reader, Price, Ghost, Soap, Gaz and Graves.  Word Count - 1.5k
‘Captain.’ Graves announced himself as he walked into the small room, which had quickly filled up.  ‘Fellas, what can I do for you?’ Price leaned back in his chair, legs widened as Graves looked over you and Simon, who stood either side of his chair.  ‘We’ve got word there be a woman on this ship.’ Graves commented, Price arched an eyebrow at him, your brows wrinkled.  ‘A woman?’ He questioned, Graves nodded.  ‘That’s been said.’ He replied.  ‘Any idea who?’ Price asked, Simon crossed his arms over his chest, Graves tensed up but shook his head.  ‘No sir, just -,’ He said.  ‘It’s lies then.’ Price relaxed, he waved his hand dismissively.  ‘Lies?’ Graves asked, shocked that he wasn’t worried about a woman aboard the ship.  ‘Yes.’ Price replied sternly, Graves furrowed his brows, ‘if they are bad luck, how has this ship, this crew been nothing but successful?’ He added, Graves’ lips thinned.
‘Where you going?’ His deep voice asked, you tensed slightly but continued packing the small amount of your belongings.  ‘I need a break.’ You replied, he exhaled through his nose.  ‘A break, from roaming the world?’ Price asked, you slowly nodded.  ‘Yeah, fancy standing on solid ground other than looting it.’ You commented, a noise came from the back of his throat.  ‘Nothing to do with this bad luck we’ve got?’ He questioned, you pursed your lips as you turned to him.  ‘No sir, I believe that we’ve received good luck as well.’ You told him, bringing up the statement he had told Graves not even a hour or so ago.  ‘I believe it’s all down to you, ain’t it?’ He questioned, you looked away from him.  ‘No idea what you’re talking about sir.’ You replied, hoping you sounded calm.  ‘So, you ain’t a woman?’ Price questioned, you shook your head.  ‘No sir.’ You replied, he took a step closer to you.  ‘So, if I were to rip this top from you, I wouldn’t find breasts?’ He asked, you glanced down to his hands that lingered near your side before you leaned closer to him, his gaze jumped to your lips.  ‘You try that sir and I'd slice you.’ You warned him, his gaze darkened as he focused on you.  ‘And be flung off the ship for mutiny?’ He said, you took a step back from the captain and let the corner of your lips jump up.  ‘Wouldn't do that to your good luck charm, would ya?’ You commented, eyebrow raised.  ‘You say it isn’t you.’ He almost whispered, excitement swirled in his eyes.  ‘It’s not,’ you shook your head, ‘but wouldn’t want to mess with calypso, would you?’ You challenged him.
‘Red?’ You ignored them as you smiled at the woman behind the stall, her gaze snapped to someone behind you.  ‘You looked good in a dress.’ The voice said, warmth radiated from his body.  ‘Excuse me.’ You said, the merchant forced a smile and stepped back.  ‘Can I help you?’ You asked them politely, an eyebrow arched.  ‘Wow a month and you don’t remember us?’ Soap commented, your brow dropped and looked at the four large men.  ‘I’m sorry gentlemen but I've never met you before.’  ‘You’re playing that card?’ Price questioned, you glared at him and shook your head.  ‘Look you seem nice, yet it seems you have me confused with my twin brother.’ You lied to them, they faces twisted before amusement took over their faces.  ‘Your twin has the same scar on his shoulder?’ Price’s hand reached up and rested on your bicep, his fingers moved the sleeve out the way to reveal the pale scar, you pulled your arm back to yourself.  ‘We are identical.’ You spat out, you quickly paid the merchant far too much for your items, ‘Now I must go.’ You said to the men and walked away, they looked confused but let you disappear out their sight.
‘Why didn’t you tell us?’ Ghost asked, you should’ve jumped but you had seen them sneak in when you were stood out in your garden.   ‘Seems like you already knew.’ You commented, the washing set on the counter, salt from the sea had clung to them.  ‘You tried to tempt luck?’ Ghost stated, he almost sounded annoyed as they watched you fold the clothes, not sparing them a second look.  ‘Your luck had already been tempted.’ You said, you placed the white shirt down.  ‘What does that mean?’ Soap asked, you flattened your hand over the shirt before you exhaled and turned to them, your lower back pressed against the counter.  ‘Have you all truthfully thought that your luck had turned?’ You questioned them, slowly the four of them started to nod.  ‘Yeah.’ Price replied, you rubbed your lips together.  ‘You were getting the loot because I was on your ship.’ You told them, they looked amused.  ‘So, you control fate now?’ Simon asked, you pressed your tongue against the back of your teeth as you refrained from snapping back.  ‘No, I control the sea.’ You informed them, they looked at you with straight faces before they started to laugh, ‘Yeah, it’s hilarious right?’ You commented and walked away from them, they quickly sobered up and watched as you opened a cupboard.   ‘What are you doing?’ Gaz questioned, it was the first he had spoken all day.  ‘Come on, you can’t be mad at us, no one controls the sea.’ Soap said, you ignored them as you pulled the container out the cupboard, carefully you twisted and sat it at the wooden table they surrounded.  ‘A jar of dirt?’ Gaz asked, you shut the cupboard door and turned around.  You remained silent as you unscrewed the lid, your hand dipped into the mixture of dirt and sand before you pulled it out, the seashell held in your grasp. The men watched as you held you hand out, allowing them to see the shell before your fingers tightened around it and the outer cracked open. You tilted your hand and the cracked shell tumbled to the ground, you held onto the piece of paper which you held up and allowed them to read.
‘When I receive a name, I board it in a way of seeing whether the ship and its crew survive or if they get sunk to the bottom of the sea.’ You explained, you set the paper on the table, on top of the sand, ‘If the crew mates fail the task then they are guided down to Davy Jones where he greets them with open arms.’ You finished, none of them spoke.  ‘We’ve survived right, we aren’t going to sink now that you’ve left?’ Soap questioned.  ‘She hasn’t left.’ Price replied quickly, you looked at him before you turned back to Soap.  ‘No, you passed with flying colours, so now I move onto the next.’  ‘Just like that?’ Price asked, you stared at him, neither of you moving before Simon pushed up and gestured to Soap and Gaz.  ‘You should go with your crew.’ You directed it at Price as he stayed focused on the side of your face.  ‘You’re part of the crew.’ Price said, the others silently walked away in order for you and Price to have a conversation.  ‘Price I cannot board that ship again.’ You told him, it was the only rule you ensured you followed but as his blue eyes pleaded with you, you considered breaking it.  ‘Why not?’ He questioned.  ‘Davy Jones would come and collect me, ridding of anything that crossed his path.’ You explained.  ‘I would stand with you till my last breath.’ Price admitted, he stepped forward and trapped you between himself and the counter.  ‘You might but I won’t let you suffer because you believe you like me.’ You told him.  ‘Like you?’ He asked, a hand reached up and gently took a hold of your chin, ‘You have invaded my every thought, day and night you take over my mind like a plague.’ Price said softly, you held eye contact with him.  ‘As have you but I can’t go against the rules of the sea or all will suffer.’ You warned him, his brows furrowed slightly.  ‘All will suffer?’  ‘If I stay with you, with the crew, the seas will rage and all those who depend on it will suffer, death and decay will show if I follow my heart.’ You told him and placed a hand on his chest, the heat radiated through the thin shirt, his heartbeat quickened.  ‘My heart wants to be on that ship with you, but I cannot let innocents suffer.’ You truthfully told him.  ‘So, this is it?’ He asked, you nodded as you slid your hand from his chest up to his jaw, he closed his eyes.  ‘You know where I live Captain John Price, don’t be a stranger.’ You warned him, you leaned closer and pressed your soft lips against his cheek, he sighed.  ‘Very well.’ He pulled back from you, his soft eyes searched your face.  He gave you a nod before he turned away, you reached out before you could stop yourself, he twisted back to you, ‘If the seas are against you, open this.’ You swiped the small locket off the counter and placed it into his hand, the circle pendant sat in the centre of his hand.  ‘You open this and I will feel it, no matter where you are.’ You told him, you carefully curled his fingers around it before you made eye contact with him.

Speak of the Dead.
You manage to escape from your attempted kidnapping, an unexpected person shows up when the doctors call your emergency contact.  Characters – Reader, Reacher, Neagley, Chris, Karla Word Count - 1k.
‘Neagley -,’ you stopped when the larger person stepped into the room, ‘what’s he doing here?’  ‘He was with me when I got the call.’ She told you, you moved in your bed.  ‘Coulda dropped him off somewhere.’ You grumbled.  ‘I would’ve but you know he’s like a stray, always finds you.’ Neagley replied, you arched an eyebrow.  ‘What happened?’ Reacher quizzed.  ‘Pretty sure you’ve already asked the nurse.’ You told him.  ‘Y/N.’ He warned, you glared at him.  ‘Three busted ribs, fractured eye socket, broken nose, serve blood loss and a brand-new scar. It’s like Christmas.’ You replied sarcastically, you lifted your arms and shook them.  ‘Well at least they never took away your best quality.’ Neagley commented, you arched your brow the best you could with the swelling.  ‘Oh wow, tryna piss off the injured, real nice.’ You joked, she smiled and glanced to Reacher.  ‘You know who did it?’ Reacher quizzed, his brows were drawn together, you shook your head.  ‘Wore masks, generic height and build.’ You listed off your attackers.  You watched Neagley and Reacher share a look, you moved in your bed, a hiss escaped your lips. Reacher moved quickly, the space he had kept between you vanished, you raised a hand for him to stop which he did and glared down at you.  ‘I know how to draw them out.’ You breathed out as you got comfy.  ‘We’re not using you as bait.’ Reacher said quickly, you dropped your hand onto his forearm, his warmth spread over your palm.   ‘Good to know that’s where your brain goes but we are, or rather my body.’ You patted his arm.  ‘They’re after the team, so let’s give them the team.’ You suggested, you looked at Neagley who hadn’t moved from the bottom of the bed.  ‘Y/N.’ She said, head tilted as she had a rough idea as to where your thoughts were going.  ‘Pretty sure I was pronounced dead, so someone can work their magic and I can stay dead.’ You suggested.  ‘You’d want to be dead?’ Reacher asked, you sighed.  ‘Being alive hasn’t really lived up to what people have told me is should.’ You leaned back into the pillows to look up at him.    ‘You look like shit.’ Karla commented as she entered the motel room, you chuckled and moved from the bathroom to the chair. Reacher's arm moved at his side, Karla’s brows pinched slightly as she looked at him.  ‘Yeah, nice to see you guys again.’ You grumbled, a hand wrapped around your chest to try and ease the ache.   ‘Been up too much?’ Karla asked, you scoffed and shook your head.  ‘Just dying.’ You commented, you lowered yourself into the chair, she chuckled.  ‘Heard the pair of your got married?’ You said, Reacher looked to her and O’Donnell, his brows furrowed deeply as Neagley chuckled at his shook.  ‘Yeah, he’s had two kids as well.’ Karla commented.  ‘Oft, I'm surprised she’s put up with you for so long, two kids and an adult one?’ You said, an eyebrow arched as you looked at him.  ‘One on the way as well.’ He added happily, you smiled widely.  ‘Well congrats, boy or girl?’  ‘Don’t know.’ O’Donnell commented, he shrugged.  ‘Are they safe?’ You asked.  ‘Yeah, she knows what to do.’ He said, you nodded.  ‘Good, your husband?’ You asked Karla, she nodded which eased you slightly.  ‘He’s safe as well.’  ‘Looks like we’re set.’ You said, they all nodded, ‘Anyone fancy dinner?’ You asked and moved to get out the chair, Reacher held a hand out to stop you.  ‘Reacher and I will get it, you need to rest.’ Karla said, you looked at her annoyed, ‘Still the same toppings?’ She quizzed, you nodded.  ‘Keep -,’  ‘The door locked, we know.’ You, Neagley and O’Donnell said, Reacher looked defeated before he followed Karla out and shut the door behind him. Both their silhouettes walked past the window, Neagley slid the lock over.  ‘They’re the reason we never worked out, right?’ Karla turned to Reacher, who arched an eyebrow, ‘Y/N, you’ve always been focused on them.’ She continued, he didn’t reply.  ‘I don’t blame you, I guess I was naive for thinking anything would show between us.’ She added, Reacher focused ahead of him.
‘What you doing back?’ You quizzed as he marched into the room, he set the carrier bag onto the small chair that sat at the window, he continued to walk towards you.  ‘I think I might stay awhile.’ He stated, you watched as he lowered himself into the bed next to you, his hand landed next to your knee, his finger twitched slightly.  ‘Reacher settle down? We must be at the end of the world.’ You joked, he looked at you over his shoulder.  ‘Not the end, just until you’re healed up.’ He said, your eyebrows jumped up.  ‘You’re staying for me?’ You asked, your hands moved from your crossed legs to your chest, he nodded.  ‘Shoulda stayed a long time ago.’ He admitted, you shook your head.  ‘I’m capable of looking after myself.’ You replied, his hand landed on your knee before he squeezed it.  ‘You shouldn’t have to be, I’m gonna be here.’ He told you, he didn’t break eye contact with you.  ‘Reacher.’ You breathed, you placed your hand on top of his, your thumb stroked across the back.  ‘Don’t try and convince me, I’m staying.’ He said, his gaze dropped to your joined hands.  ‘I was going to say thank you.’ You informed him, he looked up to you before you both smiled at each other.

Little Piggy.
You’re a news reporter who has been kidnapped due to a story she was working on. After an unknown amount of time spent in a dark room, task force 141 come and rescue you.  Word Count – 1,7k.  Characters – Reader, Ghost, Price, Kyle, Soap.  Warnings – torture, game canon violence, kidnapping.
‘You with me?’ He asked, you remained silent, his rough hand snapped out and grabbed your cheeks. His broken nails cut into the soft skin.   ‘I need you with me sweet thing, I want the world to see your pretty face as I remove your finger.’ He said, you blinked a few times before you focused on him.   ‘There they are.’  ‘Smile.’ He said, the camera was shoved in your face, you exhaled through your lips which caused saliva to spray at him.  ‘Tell your audience your name.’ The man said, you ran your tongue over your lips as you gaze flickered between the man and the camera that was focused on him.  ‘Tell them.’ He growled, his palm collided with your cheek.  ‘My name is Y/N Y/L/N.’ You said, you looked past the camera to focus on him.  ‘And your job.’  ‘I am a reporter with New Times.’  ‘I want everyone to know that within twenty-four hours your lovely reporter will be dead.’ He grumbled, you narrowed your eyes at him.  ‘Fuck you.’ You spat, you cleared your throat and sent it towards him, satisfied when it landed on his chest.   Your head collided with the rough wall as your cheek stung, his hand dropped as the group chuckled and you ran your tongue over your teeth. He was quick to step forward, one of his men moved to switch the camera off but he extended a finger to them.  ‘Keep the camera rolling.’ He growled, his hand jerked forward and wrapped tightly around your hand, ‘How about we play little piggy.’ He commented, your eyes widened as he spread your fingers and smirked.   You tried to pull away from him but the wall behind you didn’t help and a second pair of hands reached out of the darkness. They wrapped around your arm and held it still. The man reached behind him, a pair of sharp pliers were placed into his hand. He opened and closed them as your breathing quickened up, a deep chuckle seeped from the back of his throat.   He moved his fingers, so he was holding onto your pinky, you clenched your jaw and exhaled through your nose. He glanced at you through his eyelashes and his smirk grew into a wide smile as he opened the pliers and rested your finger between the sharp blades. Your breathing quickened as he looked at you face on.  ‘This little piggy went to market.’ He snapped the pliers shut, your stomach flipped when the loud crack filled the quiet room before you screamed.  You managed to pull your arm and hand away from the men and clutched it to your chest as the searing pain continued to spread, you exhaled heavily through your teeth. The men tried to grab a hold of your arm again before you hissed and lunged forward, your forehead collided with the man to the side of you. He yelped and moved back before you were pushed against the wall, a rough hand wrapped around your throat as it tightened. Your eyes snapped to him before you tapped his forearm with your bloody hand.  ‘Not that strong, are you?’ He quizzed as you continued to cough, you welcomed the musky air.  ‘You wouldn’t kill me just now, not enough audience.’ You rasped out, chin jutted towards the camera that was still rolling. He turned and motioned to end the film.
Ghost and the rest of the Task Force watched the video that had been played over and over, the news picked it up and ran with the headlines. He knew that by tomorrow morning your face would be plastered all over the papers and everyone would be talking about how you had been captured. Price looked at him, his gloved hands tightened into fists, his eyes darted to him before Price pushed out his seat. The video was paused before it disappeared and your id was displayed on the screen, you smile a contrast to your tired and pained face.  ‘As seen in the video, Y/N Y/L/N, a news reporter who was captured two days ago.’ Price said, Laswell clicked the computer and more information about you appeared on the screen.  ‘Looks like they’ve got a history with dangerous places.’ Kyle commented, Ghost had to tuck his hands into his armpits and leaned back into his seat.  ‘They are used to it, yeah, they volunteer to go into these danger zones.’ Laswell stated, she noticed Ghost’s demeanour change.  ‘We leave tomorrow at sunrise and arrive at sunset there, that night we will get them out of the compound they are being held in.’ Price explained, the lay out of the buildings popped onto the screen.
‘Y/N?’ The deep voice called out, you tried to lift your head but it weighed down, your arms had gone numb from being held above your head  ‘Hey, you with us?’ A gloved hand cupped your neck, you watched through heavy eyelids as he slid his gun back into his holster, his second hand cupped the other side and carefully tilted your head back.  ‘Ghost?’ You quizzed, your brows furrowed.  ‘Yeah, it’s me.’ He replied, you slurred as you tried to think of something.  ‘Why?’ You grunted out.  ‘We need to get you out.’ He said, you shook your head and refused to move from your spot.  ‘No, no, how did you find my location?’ You asked, you gaze was focused on the mask covered face of Ghost.  ‘Your phone pinged.’ Soap said, you looked at him then back to Ghost, you noticed his brows furrow.  ‘What?’ He asked.  ‘They took everything off me.’ You informed him, he stiffened.  ‘Shit.’ Ghost hissed, you placed a hand on Ghost’s elbow and leaned out the side, your eyes searched around the room, the camera wasn’t there.  ‘Leave me and go.’ You told him quickly, you looked around the room as your hands moved to his shoulders.  ‘No.’ He shook his head.  ‘Ghost, go.’ You almost shouted.  ‘Y/N, we could take you.’ He said, you looked to the others that stood behind him, your eyes pleaded them.  ‘They’ll be watching, they want to create the most damage or newsworthy story,’ you explained, ‘what better than killing two people that shouldn’t be here.’ You said, Soap looked at you as you turned back and made eye contact with Ghost.   ‘Go, I’ll be fine.’ You quickly reached up and touched his cheeks, the mask rough under your bloody hands.
‘How’d you know the reporter?’ Soap asked when he lowered himself into the seat.  ‘Friends.’ He grunted, his cracked his knuckles and straightened his back.  ‘Is that all?’ He quizzed him.  ‘What else would there be?’ Ghost asked, his dark gaze moved to Soap.  ‘Dunno, seemed close to be friends.’ He commented but didn’t want to push him too far, Ghost remained silent.  ‘I don’t want to push you Lieu but we need to be informed off all the information that will help us with this mission.’ Soap said, Ghost’s jaw clenched as he moved in his seat.  ‘You should tell him.’ Price said, Soap and Kyle looked at the Captain before Ghost rolled his neck, it popped loudly.  ‘Y/N and I grew up together occasionally we’d have a fling or what not -,’ Ghost reluctantly gave up.  ‘You’re lovers?’ Soap asked confused.  ‘No, it was just convenient for the pair of us.’ He said with a shake of his head.  ‘Could they be doing this to get to us?’ Kyle suggested, Ghost immediately went to say no but stopped himself.  ‘There’s a chance.’ Price said, Ghost slid his eyes to you.  ‘Is it known that you two have a thing?’ Gaz questioned, Ghost shook his head.  ‘No, not unless they’ve been planning it for years.’ Ghost said, he rolled his shoulders, ‘I haven’t saw Y/N for two years.’
'Ghost.’ You said, the gun lowered as he approached you, two other men stepped into the small room, guns aimed at the entrance.  ‘You shouldn’t be here.’  ‘We’re fine, we got them.’ He said, you leaned your head back to make eye contact.  ‘All of them?’ You quizzed, he nodded.  ‘The ones that didn’t run, yeah.’ He said, the corner of your lips pulled up.  ‘Why’d they kidnap me?’ You asked, the dull pain spread up and across your head.  ‘Publicity.’ He grumbled, the wraps removed from your wrists, slowly you dropped your hands, Ghost carefully looked them over.  ‘I’m not famous.’ You said, you looked at the other two that had came in with him.  ‘No, but it seems the arms dealer case you reported last month was a part of their organisation.’ The Scot told you, you looked at him, your eyebrows pinched together.  ‘Why was someone here working with an English businessman?’ You asked, Ghost chuckled next to you.  ‘Now isn’t the time to be asking questions.’   ‘What do I always say?’ You asked him, he dropped the rope from your wrists.  ‘Nows always the time.’ He grumbled, you arched an eyebrow as he offered you a hand to guide yourself up.  ‘Maybe you should wait till your checked out before you ask the questions.’ Ghost suggested, you glared at him but nodded.
‘You good?’  ‘I’m good.’ You replied, he sighed, shoulders dropped before he yanked you forward.  A large arm wrapped around your waist, the second one over your shoulders as his hands held the back of your head. You reacted quickly and wrapped your arms around his wide back, your bandage hand rested between his shoulders.  ‘Scared the shit out of me.’ He mumbled into your ear, you exhaled as you pulled back from him, your hands stopped on his face.  ‘Gotta keep you on your toes.’ You commented, with the crinkles around the side of his eyes you knew he was smiling.  ‘Yeah, you do.’ He breathed out.  ‘I want you to meet my team.’ Simon said, you tilted your head but nodded as he moved to your side, arm still wrapped around you.  ‘Soap, Kyle or Gaz and of course you know Price.’ He introduced them to you, you gave them a polite smile as they waved at you.  ‘Nice to see you kid.’ Price said, he stepped closer and you moved from Simon’s arm and wrapped him up in a hug.  ‘You as well old man, been awhile.’  ‘That it has.’ He agreed before he pulled you tighter to his chest.

Wifey.
You and Ghost have been colleagues, some might say friends even lovers if you listen to the rumours, since you both joined the army.  Characters – Ghost x Reader, Price, Gaz, Soap, Laswell, Graves.  Word Count - 1.7k.
He slowly made his way into your room with heavy steps, ones he purposely did to make sure you heard him. Anyone else that looked into the room would assume that you were focused on the book on your lap, you followed his steps around the room, the routine that he always had. He made his way to the kettle and switched it on, you had filled it with fresh water when you came back. When the kettle boiled he grabbed his mug, the tea bag, sugar and milk before he made his concoction. You had tried to make it once, he drank it but the way his lips twisted with every sip you left it to him. He removed his out layers and welcomed the way his sweat cooled against his body even if he felt sticky and horrible, he made his way over and lowered himself into the couch beside you, the mask pulled up to rest on the bridge of his nose. The familiar scars on show for you and you alone. ‘How long?’ You asked, hands warmed by the mug in between them, you hadn’t drank the tea you made earlier. ‘Six months.’ He grumbled, your pouted. ‘I won’t be here when you come back, being sent on tour.’ You told him the news you got at eight am sharp this morning. ‘Again?’ He quizzed, you nodded as you turned to him. ‘The Lieutenant had an emergency, he’s taking my next one if he’s back.’ You said, Simon grunted next to you.
‘Where is she?’ You recognised his voice, it bounced off the walls, a quieter response came from someone but you couldn’t hear it. Incoming footsteps stopped outside your door, for once you were glad you were in a room by yourself when the door was pushed open. Ghost stood in the middle of the room, dark narrowed eyes searched the bare room before they landed on you. Simon made his appearance, the wrinkles between his brows smoothed. ‘Lieutenant Y/L/N, I tried to stop him.’ The nurse apologised, her eyes wide with fear and concern, you waved her off. ‘It’s alright.’ You told her, a weary glance was sent to Simon before she nodded. Once the door was shut behind her, Simon’s shoulders dropped, his eyes softened as he took you in. You had yet to see yourself but with the pain across your face, the wound ran down your cheek and was surrounded by a slow forming bruise. ‘I’m alright.’ You spoke, his gaze narrowed on your face. ‘Bullshit, I read your intake report.’ He admitted, ‘busted ribs, concussion, fractured eye socket, broken nose, broken leg - want me to go on?’ Simon quizzed, you shook your head. ‘No thank you, I can feel them.’ You replied, he narrowed his eyes at you. ‘What did you do, cannonball off the building.’ He commented, you didn’t respond, ‘Please tell me you didn’t.’ Simon almost begged you as his stomach flipped. ‘I didn’t.’ You replied, he glared at you ‘well it was either that or get blown up by a grenade, what would you rather?’ You asked, he grumbled some response as you tried to smile but the wound stopped you. ‘You’re an idiot.’ He breathed out, the hand on the edge of the bed wrapped around your hand. ‘I know.’ You replied, he played with a finger. ‘Did you succeed?’ Simon quizzed, you shook your head. ‘No,’ you inhaled, ‘Laswell’s coming in later to discuss it.’ ‘It wasn’t a tour, was it?’ He asked, you looked away from him. ‘Can’t say.’ Your fingers played with the blanket.  ‘Y/N.’ His voice deepened, you narrowed your eyes at him as you turned. ‘It’s still open, you know the rules.’ You reminded him, he crossed his arms over his chest. ‘I don’t care about the rules when you end up here.’ He said. ‘Simon.’ You said sternly, you were sure he pouted underneath his mask. ‘Can I have a cuddle?’ You asked, he huffed but stood up, his large frame seemed to take up most the space. ‘Move over.’ He commanded, his voice soft as he motioned at you. Carefully your moved over, you face scrunched up and Simon jerked forward, you held a hand up. He huffed again before he watched you roll onto your side, he rested his hands on the blanket that had been draped over you. Slowly he snuck in behind you, once he was on, awkwardly but as comfortable as he would go without his worry of hurting you appearing. He wrapped an arm over you, hand across your chest as you hugged it. Warmth spread all over and you relaxed, Simon followed soon after.
Ghost followed Price, Soap and Gaz into the small conference room. The overhead lights had been dimmed enough to see the projector clearly. ‘Afternoon fellas.’ You greeted them, leg up on a second chair, the white cast stuck out. The others smiled widely at you but Ghost glared, silently he went to his seat whilst the group quizzed you, having not saw you for almost two weeks. ‘It’s nice to see you but we’re here for work not a catch up.’ You told them, they reluctantly walked away and lowered themselves into their seats, attention on you and the screen. ‘I told you my latest assignment was a regular tour, six months of drills and searches but I lied,’ you started, you watched their brows dipped, ‘Although I was with a team I was there for an alternative reason who I can now name as Phillip Graves.’ You informed them. ‘Very funny, we killed him two years ago.’ Soap said, you remained silent and rolled your neck. ‘You never.’ ‘Upon further investigation the person in the tank wasn’t Grave, he had a scapegoat and managed to escape.’ You explained, they looked confused and angry. ‘Laswell caught wind of him again about eight months ago.’ You said, all their attention snapped to Laswell who had her head lowered, ‘I managed to get close enough to watch him, the team he’s gained is supporting a few terrorist organisations.’ ‘So, when’s the attack?’ ‘Not sure, but three of his members flew into to Heathrow this morning and Graves, or Andrew Smith joined them two hours ago.’ You explained. ‘You got a plan for us?’ Price asked, Kate nodded and stepped forward to take over. Everyone looked at her to pay attention but you knew Simon was watching you, you turned to him and you were right. The dark eyes appeared to be glaring at you but they weren’t. ‘I’m sorry.’ you mouthed, he dipped his head before he turned to Kate. ‘You know, your girlfriends pretty good at jumping from roofs, she’s beautiful as well.’ Graves said, he was trying his best to get under Ghost’s skin but he tilted his head back to make contact eye contact with him. ‘I don’t have a girlfriend.’ He responded, his voice emotionless. ‘So, who’s that pretty thing then?’ Graves quizzed, Ghost stared at him but he noticed something click in his pea sized brain. ‘She’s your wife.’ He stated, Ghost didn’t react but Soap and Price glanced at him cautiously, one of them knew the answer, ‘I mean, I heard all the rumours when I was with you for that short time and truthfully, I see it.’ He leaned back in his seat. ‘Big bad Ghost who’s said to be unbreakable and the pretty little thing who breaks herself.’ He said, Ghost narrowed his eyes behind bis mask as Graves chuckled to himself. ‘No wonder she turned me down how many times.’ Graves commented, in order to annoy Simon but truthfully he already knew about the attempts. ‘Maybe you just need to listen to women, or anyone in general.’ Soap commented, Graves’ eyes snapped to him with a sinister smile.
‘They found out.’ He whispered into your ear, his grip tight around your back. ‘What?’ You asked, he pulled back as you looked at his face. ‘You’re married.’ Soap exclaimed, Simon huffed and you could see the annoyance on his face. ‘Yeah.’ You sighed, you looked at Gaz who looked shocked and confused as well. ‘You never told us.’ He said, you crossed your arms over your chest, Soap stopped. ‘Wasn’t a need to know.’ You commented, Simon stood next to you as the men tried to interrogate you. ‘Bullshit.’ He spat put. ‘Soap.’ You snapped, he looked at you, ‘I apologise that we never told you or Kyle, our jobs, especially mine means I can’t flaunt any relationships no matter how important they are to me.’ You said. ‘Can we ask why?’ Soap asked. ‘Yeah, doesn’t mean we’ll answer.’ Simon quickly replied. ‘Simon,’ you started, ‘it was for support or convenience. None of us had family so we came to the conclusion it’d be easier and here we are.’ You held an arm out, Soaps eyebrows had raised. ‘Explains why he listens to you.’ Gaz commented, you chuckled as Simon stepped closer.  ‘He doesn’t listen I’m just the voice of reason that he knows if he breaks it, he’ll get into trouble.’ You told the group, Simon rolled his eyes and his grip on your waist tightened slightly. ‘I think we should go the pub.’ Soap stated. ‘Why?’ You asked him, head tilted to the side. ‘To celebrate the real death of Graves.’ He commented, you saw the glint in his eyes. ‘And?’ You quizzed. ‘There isn’t an and.’ Soap commented, you arched your eyebrow but the smile spread over Soap’s lips gave you the answer. ‘There’s always an and with you.’ Simon commented. ‘Fine,’ he sighed, ‘we should celebrate your marriage.’ He said hopeful, you silently chuckled. ‘Soap we’ve been together for almost twenty years.’ Simon admitted to the group, their eyes widened. ‘All the more to celebrate.’ Gaz commented, you lowered your head now that he was joining in. ‘I mean, I could use a drink.’ You stated, Simon’s head snapped around to you before he sighed and nodded. Soap cheered before he wrapped an arm around your shoulders and lead the pair of you away. Price and Gaz followed closely but Simon watched, his heartbeat quickened as he looked at his family. You looked over your shoulder and looked at him, an eyebrow raised before you stretched a hand out inviting him to join.

Make Me A Match
Richie calls up an old friend when he ends up in jail. Unknown to him, he ends up being a matchmaker between you and Carmen. A/N - I’m going to start and try and make my reader insert more neutral, so if you see anything pronouns or descriptions that I've missed please let me know. Thank you! Characters – Reader x Carm, Richie, Fak Word Count - 1.1k.
‘You’re out?’ Carm sounded surprised to see Richie walk out the room, deep bags had formed underneath both their eyes from the lack of sleep. ‘Yup, used my get out of jail free card.’ Richie said, you lifted your bag strap up your shoulder and walked away from the guard. ‘I have a name.’ You said, Richie moved to the side as Carm’s eyes widened. ‘Y/N.’ He said, almost in disbelief. ‘At least one of you remember it.’ You commented, Richie smiled widely and shrugged before you turned to Carm. ‘How you doing?’ You asked, Carm pulled you in for a hug which you welcomed. ‘I’m good.’ He breathed against your ear, you shook your head as you pulled away. ‘Sorry it’s took me so long to come and see you.’ ‘Hotshot lawyer right here.’ Richie practically cheered; you rolled your eyes as you turned to him. ‘Alright Richie get in the car.’ You told him, he pouted but listened. ‘Yes ma’am.’ He agreed before he sauntered away, he ducked his head as he dived into his own thoughts. ‘You need to make sure he attends court in a week's time.’ You informed Carm, he nodded, mentally taking a note of it. You knew you’d have to find some way to remind the pair of them. ‘I will.’ He said, you smiled. ‘Good.’ ‘You coming back?’ He asked, you shook your head, your left arm raised to look at the small watch fixed around it. ‘I’ve got a meeting at nine.’ You said, aware that it was only five minutes after eight.  ‘She’ll be there for family.’ Richie called out, Carm looked apologetic. ‘I told you car.’ You turned to Richie, his eyes widened but he turned and walked the rest of the way, hands in the tracksuit pocket. ‘Think he only listens to you.’ Carm commented, you chuckled and watched as Richie ducked into the back of the car. ‘Seems that way.’ You mused as you turned back to Carm, his blue eyes were trained on you. ‘I’ll try my best to be there, don’t know how long this meeting will be.’
‘Cousin?’ Richie shouted, you jumped at the sudden intrusion of noise. ‘Geez Richie, you’re gonna burst my eardrum.’ You pulled away from him, finger to your ear as you rubbed it. ‘Sorry.’ He apologised, hands on your shoulders. ‘Yeah?’ ‘We’ve got a special guest today.’ He called, muttering came from the kitchen before Carm’s messy head of hair popped over the counter, a smile took over his face. ‘You made it.’ Carm said, his shoulders sagged. ‘Pushed my lunch back,’ you set your back and thick jacket on a nearby chair, ‘better be good.’ ‘Good?’ Richie sounded offended, ‘he went to New York, it’s amazing.’ You raised your eyebrows as you looked to Carm, he shook his head. ‘He’s trying to inflate my ego.’ ‘Who you trying to bullshit?’ A familiar voice said, you leaned to the side and noticed Fak, you smiled widely. ‘Fak.’ ‘Y/N!’ He replied back enthusiastically, you chuckled as he ran through the door, quickly he was in front of you, arms wrapped tightly around as he hoisted you off the ground. ‘Which ones of us is getting sued?’ Fak joked, you smiled widely as he set you down. ‘No one hopefully, was invited to family.’ You informed him, his eyes widened but his smile never left. ‘Ohh.’
‘Can I take you out one night?’ Carm broke the silence the two of you had fallen into, just happy to enjoy each other's presence, he had finished his cigarette a while ago.  ‘You planning a hit on me?’ You quizzed, eyes narrowed on him. ‘No, i - on a date?’ He asked, ‘I’ll make you dinner and then we -,’ he trailed off, his hands started to shake at his sides before he ran through his hair. ‘Yes, to the date but you aren’t cooking.’ You stated, arms crossed over your chest as he looked at you. ‘I cook all the time.’ Carm pointed out, you nodded. ‘I know which is why you should relax, I’ll cook.’ You said, Carm laughed at you. ‘I don’t want burnt Mac n cheese.’ He commented, your jaw slackened as you were shocked that he remembered that. ‘That was one time.’ You whacked his chest, he laughed but caught your hand, ‘plus I had to figure out how to cook for myself when you went to school.’ ‘So, it’s my fault that you burnt the mac n cheese?’ He asked, subconsciously he played with your fingers, a small smile on his lips. ‘I plead the fifth.’ You held your free hand up, he smiled. ‘Okay.’ ‘Yeah,’ he lifted his gaze, ‘when suits you?’ He asked, you tilted your head as your eyes searched his face, taking in the freckles and moles. ‘Tomorrow at seven?’ You suggested. ‘Tomorrow.’ He replied with a nod, you smiled at him but he didn’t pull away. ‘Carmy?’ You whispered, his blue eyes snapped up to yours, you hadn’t used that nickname since school. ‘Yeah?’ ‘You gonna kiss me or just stare at my lips all night?’ You quizzed, his lips jumped up at the corner. ‘I’m gonna kiss you.’ He said.  Carm cupped your cheek, the warmth spread over it before he pulled you closer and leaned in. Your noses budged against the other, both of you smiled as his lips just brushed yours, ‘Cous.’ Richie shouted, both of your shut your eyes and sighed. ‘What?’ He shouted back, you glanced over his shoulder just so you could make out Richie. ‘You gonna kiss them?’ He asked, you scoffed as Carm groaned, his face scrunched but you placed a hand on his chest. ‘Richie?’ You stepped to the side so he was able to see you. ‘You wrote your apology letter yet? The judge wants it by the morning.’ You told him, you pinched your brows just enough for a wrinkle to form. ‘He didn’t say anything about a letter.’ ‘It was in the paper you signed.’ You said, his face wrinkled before cursed and turned. ‘He doesn’t have one, does he?’ Carm asked when he disappeared back into the shop, you shook your head as you focused back on him. ‘No, but it might do him some good in the future.’ You replied, Carm smiled widely before he surged forward and captured your lips with his. ‘I need to tidy up,’ he looked back to the shop, ‘can you wait and I'll give you a lift home?’ Carm asked, you rubbed your lips together before you nodded. ‘On one condition though.’ You said, he arched an eyebrow. ‘You kiss me again.’ ‘Think I can agree to those terms.’ He agreed, both of you smiled before he pressed a quick kiss to your lips and pulled away. His fingers still interlocked with yours as he led you back into the shop that you had spent the last six hours at.
